That is not possible.  Safari is included as part of the iOS distribution.
Try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout

  • Safari has been deleted and cannot reinstall

    Hi peeps,
Safari has been removed from my friends I-Mac (an inspiring son thinking he knew what he was doing and loading shi**y firefox) , I have gone through lengthy procedures of trying to reinstall the programme, The version she works off is 10.4.11 i know this seems pretty outdated, but, it work for her....
Any way I have loaded the instation disc and went through the process of opening up just the Bundle so you can reinstall one programme if need be, bizarrely it does not show in the list...(very strange) Subsquently i have tried to down load various version through the Apple downloads certain messages come up saying you need this particular version of safari or that you need the other version.... when trying to download certain version it states that safari is already installed - But, i have checked her hard-drive, done searches in finder, but nothing is showing..... Can anyone help me to sort this problem out
    Many thanks
    Paul

    Hi Linc,
I haven't tried that yet in all fairness, but that will wipe everything of Jo's system, as she does not have an external hard-drive, as she keeps all her files on her desk top, would that affect any of her notes....?
Also if an archive and install is done, this will delete her son's account off the system also wont it.... (which is maybe not a bad idea as it's him that has caused this problem...hahahha)
    Thank you also

  • Somehow iTunes has been deleted from my IPad. How do I get it back? A

iTunes has disappeared from my iPad, and Farmville is taking money I haven't authorized. I don't have Facebook authorised to take payments which presumably means the money can only be going through iTunes, so I really need to get the app back to cancel all payments. (Unless some kind person out there knows some other way.)
I'd be so grateful for any help at all in re-installng iTunes  - the Apple site just sends me in circles and won't offer any way to re-install. To make matters worse, the appstore icon has also disappeared from my iPad too so I can't get at it that way.
And if anyone also knows how to stop Farmville (whose contact link conveniently - for them - doesn't work) taking my money that wouod be brilliant.
    To sum up:
    iPad 2
    No iTunes link or icon
    Need to re-install?
    Apple site no help
No money authorised in Facebook, but money taken by Farmville
    Money going via iTunes?
No way into iTunes to stop it
No appstore link or icon, so no way in through that
    Aaaaaaargh!
    Help. Please.

I tried turning those off but they only seem to function to allow/ prevent auto download to the iPad from other linked computers, e.g. When i download a book to my Kindle I can allow/prevent it also loading in the
    Kindle app on the iPad.
I've changed my Apple identity and password, and removed my bank card info which I hope will stop any further financial  shenanigans, and Farmville seems to have registered it. Did all this deep inside thebsettings app.
But still can't work out how to get the iTunes store or the apps store back.
Really appreciate you tryimg to help, and so speedily. I was beginning to think I'd have to cancel my bank card, *not* something I want to do a week before Xmas!
If this were a pc I'd know what to do; 25 years and counting experience delving into their virtual innards, resetting registry, etc., but this Apple game has whole new rules I haven't hada chance to learn yet, and it doesn't seem as amenable to amatuer tinkering.
But i do love my new toy, so am very sad that it's broken. Amy further help very greatly appreciated.
    Thanks for suggestions so far.

  • Safari has been deleted

Now, first of all I want to make it perfectly clear that I didn't do this. My friend did this. She deleted Safari. Yes, it's completely deleted. What do we do to get Safari back on her macbook pro? It's a little too big to send as an email attachment, isn't it? Should I just copy it to a disc and have her download it from that? We would greatly appreciate your help.
    Thank you, richard

Are you saying you have no other browser installed on this MBP? If this is the case, as you have gleaned it is always advisable to have more than one browser, there are many alternatives.
Also this is a good time to take advantage of your Time Machine back-up to retrieve Safari from the app folder. control-click on the TM dock icon--> *Enter Time Machine* or from the menulet in the upper right corner of your screen--> *Enter Time Machine.*
If this is the case with no back-up, you can download to your desktop through the terminal.app found in the utilities folder. Open terminal and copy and paste, followed by return after each command.
    cd Desktop
    curl -o Safari.dmg -R http://appldnld.apple.com/Safari5/041-0020.20101201.RegPt/Safari5.0.3SnowLeopard.dmg
Quit terminal when download is complete.

Since updating my iPad 2 to ios8, it safari has been slow and crashing and some of the apps acting wierd. It appears from these forums that a lot of people are having the same problems wit this latest update.

    Hi erastyle,
Actually the Licensing information for the package is missing hence it is not launching any applications. You need to Reserialize the products using APTEE which you can find it on the Machine where you have created the package. If you dont have the access to that Machine then please download and install Creative Cloud Packager and it will download APTEE in the below mentioned location.
    Windows:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\CCP\utilities
Once downloaded please follow this KB article to use the Tool.

Please let us know if it helps.

  • HT1689 i have a music album on my ipad that i cannot delete   i have connected to my laptop where the album has been deleted but when i sync the ipad with the itunes library the unwanted album is still there and i am unable to delete it.   any suggestions

I have a music album on my ipad that i cannot delege   i have connected the ipad to my laptop where the album has been deleted from the music library but when i sync the ipad to the music i want the unwanted album still appears on the ipad    any advice welcome   thanks

    Hi rosehooker,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Make sure you are following these steps to delete the music from both your iPad and computer:
    On the iPad:
Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:
    Tap the Music app.
    Tap the Songs category.
Swipe left to right over the song you want to delete.
    Tap Delete.
    On your computer:
Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:
    Launch iTunes.
From the Library pop-up menu, choose Music.
Click Songs in the navigation bar.
Click the song you want to delete.
Press the Delete key on your keyboard.
In iTunes 11, the album cover art will remain visible, but a cloud icon will appear on it to allow you to download the item again (in countries that support this).
Note: If you didn't purchase a song from the iTunes Store, you won't be able to download it again for free from iTunes in the Cloud. You might want to back it up somewhere on your computer.
You can find the steps above in this article:
How to delete content you've downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store

  • HT1311 How to download AppStore icon on iPad as it has been deleted by mistake on IPad?

    Hello,
How can we download the AppStore icon on IPad as it has been deleted by mistake and we do not know how to retrieve it?
    Thanks

It can't be deleted. Either it's been moved to another home screen or dropped into a folder, in which case doing a search for it or resetting the home screen layout (Settings -> General -> Reset) should bring it back, or the option to install apps has been turned off in Settings -> General -> Restrictions.
    Regards.

  • What's wrong with Safari - has been slow for months.

    Safari Version 6.0.5 (8536.30.1)
For months now, Safari has been responding incredibly slow to go to websites.  What I see is a blank browser page and the blue url progress bar barely moving.
It doesn't matter how I ge tto the site, if I click on a link from google / facebook / an email / other site or if I manually enter a url.  For example, just to get to this support forum, to get to the log in page took Safari about 20 seconds to load.
I have emptied cache, turned off extensions, reset safari, removed all website data, turned off auto fill and deleted all passwords.  It seems the more I try to reset Safari, the slower it gets.
Most of the time, Chrome responds much faster although there have been a few times where its just as slow or slower.  I have never reset or erased anything from Chrome.
I don't know what else to do.  I really want my internet usage to get speedier.

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them.
    1. Have you restarted your router and broadband modem since you first noticed the problem? If the answer is no, do that now and see whether there's any change.
    2. Are any other web browsers installed, and are they also slow?
    3. What about other Internet applications, such as iTunes and the App Store?
    4. Are there any other devices on the same network that can browse the Web, and are they also slow?
    5. If you can test Safari on another network, is it slow there too?
    6. If you connect to your router with Wi-Fi and you can also connect with Ethernet, do that and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?

  • Once an iBook has been exported to the iPad, how can that book be moved to a different iPad or back to iBooks Author?

Once an iBook has been exported to the iPad, how can that book be moved to a different iPad or back to iBooks Author?

You can't simply move it directly between iPads.
In your example, you'd find that .ibook file in your iTunes account on your computer and then email or sync it to the school's iPad. Similar to how you did with yours....maybe you got it off a server and can repeat that process.
Then delete it off your iPad and either delete or flag your copy in iTunes to not be put back when you sync in the future.

  • Is there a way to retrieve a text message that has been deleted from my iphone?

Is there a way to retrieve a text message that has been deleted from my iphone?  I did't delete the message but after i synced my phone the message was gone.

No, the app doesn't use Safari.  The app is AutoDesk Inventor Publisher Viewer.  I think there is a way that you can have a publish Inventor file, and if you create a correctly formatted hyperlink, you can click on it and it will immediately open the file in the viewer.
I know that if you offer the file as a standard download, iOS will ask whether you want to open it with Inventor Pub. Viewer or save it to another app that can accept files.  I would prefer to skip the prompt, and just open the viewer.
I've heard mention that this can be done with this application, but I can't find reference material anywhere.

  • Safari has been crashing/freezing a lot lately

I'm not quite sure what it is, but lately Safari has been freezing/crashing a lot on me lately. It seems to happen most frequently when I'm on a website then I go back to my top sites. I just went through my cookies and deleted the unnecessary ones, then tried reseting Safari but it froze before it could reset. Also, I've been noticing more pop-ups lately that Safari isn't blocking. Could I have a virus?

There are no viruses that can affect a Mac running OS X.
Go to your Applications Folder and open your Utilities Folder. Open the application Console.
In the left-hand column, click on Crash Reporter, and scroll down to the most recent report on Safari and open it.
    Copy and paste it here.
