Next time you open a document, drag the Word icon from the dock and drag it right back in again. It will stay there.

Do you have Time Machine enabled. If so, go back through your previous months until it features in your Application folder. Then restore.

Delete the App Store app by dragging it and dropping it into the Trash. Then download and install the appropriate update combo for your version of OS X;

I'm afraid the IMEI number won't do you any good: its principal value is in enabling your service provider to block the phone.
In order for your iPhone to be locatable you must have enabled the 'Find My Phone' app on it prior to losing it, and it must be on, not wiped, and able to connect to a network. Unless all these conditions are true there is no way of locating it.

For some unknown reason Safari has dissapeared form my dock, am sure i'm doing something silly, any help gratefgully received.

You can remove something from your dock if you select it and drag it out of the dock. It disappears with a little "puff".
To reinstall it :
- Open the "Application" Folder
- Look for the Safari application
- Drag and drop it on your dock where you want it to be
That's all

Not sure why but when I turned on my MacBook Pro this morning I found the Safari logo looking like this
So I dragged it out of the dock and proceeded to the application folder to only find it missing from there too.
I tried downloading/installing Safari 5 from Apples website but got an error message.
How do I go about re-storing it?

I suppose you really mean OS X 10.6.8 as you wouldn't be able to run iOS on a Mac.
Try downloading and installing the 10.6.8 update combo. You can find it on the Apple Downloads site.

I tried clicking on the iphoto icon in the dock and nothing happened. I went looking for it in the applications folder and it wasn't there. I then moved the icon from the dock on to the desktop and it poof'd into thin air! GONE. What can I do? Please help! VERY upset.

reinstall iPhoto from the restore disks that came with your computer -
reinstall iPhoto - go to your receipts folder ("Your hard drive" ==> library ==> receipts) and remove any iPhoto receipts and reinstall from the restore disks that came with your computer - do a custom install of bundled software only

On the other account, control-click its Dock icon and choose Show in Finder. If it's located in a place other than the Applications folder at the top level of the drive, move it there. If it is, go back into yours, open the Applications folder, and drag it to the Dock.

Hi, i have a second hand iphone 4s and i made a AppleID and everything was ok, but when I turn on the icloud, i write the appleID and the password but then appears a error message saying: "This iPhone has been activated the maximum number of accounts"

If you are getting that message you will not be able to create a new iCloud account on your phone because the maximum number of accounts has alread been created. Your only options are to either re-use one of the accounts previously created or create a new account using a different iOS device or Mac, if you have one.

I thought that bying Mac OS X Mountain Lion was enough for all my 3 computers ! It runs for 2 of them, but I can't download it anymore for my last computer : does it mean that it's ok for 2 computers only ? Do I have to by it again for my last computer ? I had the same issue this morning downloading a pre-order of Alanis, Flavors of Entanglement . I noticed that the only thing that had changed fro me was that I had some song credits for purchasing ticketmaster tickets over the past few weeks. When I went ahead and spent my remaining credits... it downloaded with no prompting or trouble. Maybe the credits issues hangs it up?

Safari: 27 min for loading Web page (JavaScript issue)

I have Safari running on Mac OS 10.7.1 (MacBook Pro). It works fine, except for some Web pages. For example, <http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Erster-Kratzer-fuer-Kryptoalgorithmus-AES -1324532.html> gets loaded partly, then it takes minutes to have it completely on my screen (even the text).
In order to depict it, I started the Web inspector and put a screenshot of it for download.
As you can see, there are some JavaScript parts that gets interpreted as streams. This is what causes Safari to show a high latancy, up to 7 minutes. The whole page mentioned above took 27.1 minutes to load. The actual problem is that some parts that apparently are required to complete the page are loaded after some latency.
Switching off Safari Extensions, clearing the cache, and temporarily removing files in "/Library/Internet Plug-Ins" and "~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins" did not show any effect.
On the other side, Firefox 6 (on the same machine) does not have this issue. Its web console complains about "illegal characters", but the page gets completely loaded within fractions of a second.
Any ideas?

The issue has been solved in the meanwhile. The problem was that I had NetBarrier X5 running in the background with Banners Filter switched on. Obviously this caused the massive delay in loading some Web pages with ads in it.
