Safari help!! I'm new to this iPhone thing

Down loaded 8.1.3 on my iPhone 6 and now when I open safari and click on the browser it doesn't go back to the screen with the search engines and my past search history please help

You need the password of the iCloud account/Apple ID that was used to originally set up the phone. That is the activation lock/anti theft feature in iOS 7. There is no way to get around that, except by using the password.
The original seller should have disabled it, but did not. if the seller is unable or unwilling to give you the information rerquired to unlock your phone, the the phone is probably stolen. That is why you have anti theft features in the phone; to avoid a situation similar to yours.

Yes, it is a different app than the Mac OS X version. but the good part is it only costs $10 (US).
You can redownload your purchases but that has to be done on the same class of equipment.

NEW question.. new to this. iPhone 4 and 4S

Let me start over. I had an iPhone 4 and never had any issues with it no battery issues nothing.. Got a 4S the day of launch and was super excited to have a new device from apple. Immediately I noticed a battery issue. I even restored the phone again as new and still noticed the same problem. Took it to apple then it was replaced. Had the same issue again except this time the phone overheated and broke i was starting to get slightly annoyed. I then took it again and got a new phone. I had the same issue so i figured it was a software issue. I then worked on troubleshooting ideas with a Genius that worked for a good two days. After two days it randomly started to drain battery again., My house has amazing coverage in it always 5 bars and wi-fi is always good. I then noticed my phone wouldnt connect to the network so they then gave me a new phone after a new sim card did not work. I was on the phone with apple for a good few hours with a technician trying to figure out what it could be. I did this thing where i would only add one thing at a time to my phone each day to try and figure out the issue and the issue was still there with nothing on the phone. my software is up to date my location services is off including the hidden location services that drain battery. Mail is to fetch or whatever not push, andmy brightness is low. I really do not know what else to do... Im currently out of ideas. My mom has a 4 and her battery life is amazing even with iOS 5.0.1 and she uses it heavily.. I dont know what is cuasing this issue in all these devices.. If anyone has been experiencing the same problems or has the fixes please help. I feel like i restore my device almost every two days just to get a better battery life.. Ive done everything apple suggests.. Im confused as to what to do now any help would be greatly appreciated. I dont think this is normal?? help is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU

I am very new to updating my iPod touch and this is the first time I've used the iCloud. However, I am having problems accessing any apps on my iCloud such as photos, reminders etc. I've set it up on my iPod touch successfully and I can sign in on my PC. However, when I try to access any of the apps it says there was a problem. It doesn't tell me how to fix it or what the problem is.
Is anyone able to help?

It is working now. I no longer get the message about the item not being available in the US and I can access the store.

This v28 marks the end of the immersive feeling a Folio could offer the user. In stead of having a truly full-screen experience, there's always that iOS7 system bar in sight. At least, that's what I understand from this documentation. So there's no way to prevent users to be distracted by anything unrelated in their screen. That's a real pity !
Some might think this is just a trivial change with eventually minor impact, but I think being able to present content over the whole screen is a crucial factor in distinguishing a Folio from other publishing formats like a web page.
Does this requirement also affect other apps like e-readers or games ?

Need help ...new to this DSLR video HD editing.

I wanted to ask and see if i could get some help here. I previously did all my filming on my Canon Xl2 and mini DV tapes and would edit with Final Cut Studios 2. Aside from usual learning curve I was able to pick it up pretty well and get what i needed done.
I recently started filming on a Canon T2i. I am having an issue of the clip showing up larger in my canvas and being outside the title safe lines. So basically I am worried once I export, peoples heads are going to be cut off and sides as well. Now the option selected is "fit to window". I know this is probably a newb question, but I never previously had to ever mess with this option when i was working with my mini dv and xl2. So how do i ensure nothing will be cropped out once exported?
I am not sure what settings i need, but when i pull the clip onto my timeline, i get the error "attention- This clip does not match this sequences settings or any of your sequence presets. For best performance your sequence and external video should be set to the format of the clips you are editing."
At this point i just click yes to change sequence to match clip settings, and this is when its get really large in the canvas. I usually never mess with my presets and settings so i am not sure what they should be at either.
Just to give a bit of background on the actual clip, it was recorded on 1920 x 1080 at 24p on the T2i. I then put the clip through "streamclip". I transcoded to apple ProRes 422 (HQ). Hopefully I have given enough information to help you guys answer my questions thanks.

Hi Erick. First of all, you're wasting disk space transcoding to ProRes(HQ). That's overkill for your footage. ProResLT will serve you fine. You did the right thing in changing your Sequence Settings to match your footage. Yes the footage is large - it's HD. All footage is going to have areas that fall outside of title/action safe. You frame your shots with this in mind when you shoot. Nothing will be cropped as you say. Just export as a Quicktime Movie with current settings.
Later you'll need to consider the delivery format. If you're going to the web, you don't have to worry about title safe. If you're delivering to standard DVD, the footage will be reduced to SD resolution and letterboxed. Just make sure any titles you create in FCP fall within the title safe area.

I have just installed Oracle 8.1.5 exactly as the install instruction says on the Cd. (Solaris 8 x86).
When I try to start it I get this message:

I can't logon to the database as anything (eg. demo, scott, sys, system).
Controlfile and alertlog? Where do I find these files? Any suggestions?

I don't know what the install instructions say but this sounds to me as if you installed oracle without the sample database so that there is no instance to start.
Did you create a new database after install?
Please open <OracleHome>\admin\<SID>\pfile\init.ora and see what the line control_files = ... says.
For me it's
control_files = ("F:\oracle\oradata\ENTW\control01.ctl", "F:\oracle\oradata\ENTW\control02.ctl", "F:\oracle\oradata\ENTW\control03.ctl")
Make sure those three files exist.

Need HELP with JetDirect 500x - I'm New to this Apple Thing!

Hello. I am very new to Apple. I have been using PC's for years and I am over them. I am slowly trying to understand the differences and where to begin. I need help getting my printers setup with a JetDirect Box. Here is what I have.
HP JetDirect 500x, with a dedicated IP address of 192.168.10.2, which is DHCP assigned by my wireless router. Connected to Port1 is a HP OfficeJet R40; Connected to port 2 is a HP Deskjet 9800.
It appears that the drivers for both printers are built into OS 10.6.3.
How do I set these bad boys up? I found one article where someone was doing something similar to me but I tried what he did and had no success.
Here is what I tired in the Add Printer Dialog box:
Protocol: HP JetDirect - Socket
Address: 192.168.10.2:1 -or- http://192.168.10.2/ipp/port1
I also tried Port 2. No luck.
Please help. I am trying hard to get there. Thanks

The HP web site shows Mac drivers for up to 10.6 for the 9800 but no Mac drivers at all for the Deskjet 500. Only Windoze and Linux drivers listed for that one.
I hope someone can jump is with a comment on the Mac compatibility of the JetDirect print server. We tried for years to get one to connect multiple printers at work and eventually threw in the towel. Maybe the newer ones are better, but I noticed the HP site recommends using USB printer sharing if it is necessary to network a 9800 on Macs. Could be a clue. You might need to contact HP support to find out if the JetDirect is Snow Leopard compatible.
The last two printers we bought for our home network--a Brother 5250N b/w laser and an HP PhotoSmart C6280--were bought because they came with ethernet ports. They were a cinch to set up on the wired network and service six Macs, two via the wireless router and four on the wire.

Hi all! Can somebody help me. . I've got an old G5 1.6 with the single processor which at the minute is not wireless. I've got a belkin router which is set up and running fine. if i buy a airport card is that all i need to make my G5 work wireless. Reason why im posting this is because ive heard there is some compatabilty problems with the airport card and the G5. . thx in advance!

AirPort Extreme Card Compatible Computers List
Since you didn't identify the exact Belkin model, I am assuming that the router you are referring to has wireless capability and is either 802.11b and/or 802.11g standard. If both are true, then the AirPort Extreme card should work just fine.

ITunes Store: music sub-categories (please help - I'm new at this)

Hi - (this may be a stupid question, so my apologies in advance) I've just started using iTunes and under the music categories, such as Electronic, the only sub-category I can find is House - are there more such as Trance, Jungle etc. or is that all there is?
If there are - where would I locate them?

Ive owned my ipod nano for three weeks and its worked great. (amazing product by the way)
Last night i was listening to it as usual except that when i turned it on its side to view coverflow, it froze then the backlight when off. When i touched the clickwheel to turn on the backlight coverflow appeared... so i thought it was the accelerometer. but then later i realized it wouldnt let me play my games or videos...and it also got to the point where it didnt play my music either... i dont know why but my pictures will show up and i can turn the ipod on its side to view them landscape...
Someone know whats going on, please help!!! thanx!
