Safari...help me please!!!
I downloaded the Safari 3 beta test..and guess what..it *****..my online widgets were affected so I deleted the program..now I dont have safari 2 and I dont know how to get it back. Please help.
When I decided not to use Safari 3 I just used the uninstall program provided and it took me right back to my old set up. If you did not uninstall properly you will need to do as suggested and reinstall Safari.

Quit Safari completely, clear Safari and reboot the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the Safari app icon. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up -

Some of my Apps don't connect to the internet. For example, NY Times Web App, says it can't connect. But when I access it from Safari it does (it is a web site and the App just accesses it form the desktop of the IPAD). I have a number of Apps like this. I've removed and reinstalled and it doesn't help. Please help!

If it is WEP, one of the problems is that the actual standard relies on a 10 character HEX key for 40bit WEP and a 26 character HEX key for 128bit WEP. In order to make things easier, vendors use certain algorithms to convert simple alphanumeric passwords (or passphrases) into HEX keys, thus enabling the use of simple easy to remember WEP password rather than lengthy HEX keys. The problem is that different vendors use different algorithms to generate the HEX key and therefore a ASCII password on an AEBS will be hashed differently on a non-Apple client and vice versa. p.s It should work perfectly of course it is depending on what was wrong
with Safari if there is a corruption in the preferences files, a new app won't help you will need to troubleshoot it.

The new Yahoo mail shows no graphics using Firefox 24.0 - just identical rectangles where new icons should be.\. However, the new Yahoo mail displays correctly in Safari and Chrome. I believe this has to to with the settings for Javascript. Those settings aren.t easy to access in the most recent Firefox 24.0 version. Help me, please.The settings for Javascript are either on or off, Fireefox 24 doesn't give you a option to turn off Javascript, unless you installed something like NoScript extension (or some other Javascipt blocking add-on)
If NoScript, then you need to use the View > Toolbars > Customize and drag the NoScript "Temp Allow All" button to the toolbar area to enable all enabled scripts (including Javascript) on that web page.
Under the Firefox Help menu is a option to restart with add-ons disabled to see if something you might have installed is causing your problem.
Reinstall Firefox or create another user account and run Firefox there to try to localize your issue.
I'm having no problem here on 10.6.8 in Firefox, Chrome or Safari, Yahoo Mail works perfectly. -

Trying to repair permission and I always get this:
Permissions differ on “Applications/Safari.app/Contents/Resources/Safari.help/Contents/Resources/inde x.html”; should be lrwxr-xr-x ; they are -rwxr-xr-x .
I even fresh install the system and every time I do repair the permission I always end up with this even though it said repaired.
I figure this is the problem my laptop, sometime it wont save files or documents and it goes in limbo and had to force shutdown and have to restart on the
booth drive to have it permission repair. I just updated to 10.9.3 and will see if this stop the crashing but repair permission notice is still the same.

Please help me! I'm pretty new to web design. Built this website from scratch - designed in photoshop and put together in dreamweaver. I launched the site and it looks great in safari, but had a friend look at it with explorer and the blue link boxes (the one that lets you know you have something linked in dreamweaver) are showing up on the interent explorer browser and I can only assume there are issues in other browsers as well. Try this.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Cache/Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Fisrt post the 2011-03-12 in Mac Safari forum but no answer... I need absolutely some help i cannot work with the character palette in the middle of my screen!
My character palette stay always open and crashes
and says: l'application Palette de caractères a quitté inopinément

when i clicked on "ignore", the message goes but the Character palette re-open each time and close with this message again.
I tried to close my macBook, safari , clean with Onyx but the problem is always there.
The character palette stay open in the middle of my screen....

If yes, try this.
If you haven't already, turn off the Character Palette in the System Preferences. Then go to the Preferences folder in your user account and deleted the following two files.
com.apple.CharPaletteServer.plist
com.apple.systemuiserver.plist
When you turn the palette back on in the System Preferences, it should come up normally. -

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Now open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Not empty the Safari cache.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Now try a video. If that didn't help, click: Request HTML Player here > YouTube -
