Safari is missing on my Ipod touch 5

When I got my the new ipod touch 5, I was excited and I didn't notice that safari was missing. Now I don't want to exchange my ipod for a knew one because by the time I notice safari, I already installed many apps and I don't want to lose the things that can't be save on my computer. I don't really care if I don't have it because it didn't cause me any trouble and I download another browser that replace safari, but I was curious to know if there was a way to install it.

wifi and bluetooth hardware missing in my ipod touch could any one help me to fix it?

If the following is your problem try the troubleshooting described within:
iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
Frequently it is due to  hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
If that is not your problem then we need more information about hur problem. How do you know the"hardware" is missing?

  • I missed placed my ipod touch somewhere.. is there anyway i can find it

i missed placed my ipod touch somewhere.. is there anyway i can find it

    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod and wifi is on and connect go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and and go to FIndMyiPhone. You can also wipe it and have it play a sound. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

    Help,
I can't find the App Store /Safari icons on my Ipod Touch (2nd generation) anywhere. I tried to enable/disable Restriction several time and the icons are still missing ? I even tried to reset the ipod touch and it doesn't seems to work still.
    thanks,

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • I dont have safari on my 3rd gen ipod touch help me and i would like to update my ipod to ios 7 if possible please help me..

i need safari on my ipod i had it now it is gone and it is really annoying i cannot download some apps all because of an ios thing i would appreciate it if i could get ios 7 so someone please help me

You may have to consider, if possible, a visit to an Apple Store with Genius
bar. Usually it's best to try & set an appointment. If you know an actual Store
you may call and ask if they can help you set a time to discuss this issue so
as to save you some trouble with using the online Genius bar scheduling.

The iPod Touch you have may not accept the latest iOS8.x system, so if you
have older marginal Apps, they would not work and may not have equal or
similar replacements under the latest iOS version. iOS7 may not be available
and if you should upgrade to iOS8, you probably won't be able to revert back.
After looking around Support online, I do not see a method of restoring Safari
but your device may have one built-in to it; perhaps part of a reset process.
I am not certain... There are some items you may have to attach the Touch to
a computer and use it to see about updates or replacement software.

To ask a knowledgeable product specialist, and have the iPod Touch model
and serial number handy, may be the best way to go. Expect that with any
upgrade to a newer iOS system software, old apps won't work and new ones
that could be available, may not look, feel or act in the same way as old ones.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Safari keeps crashing on my ipod touch 4g

Ever since i got my ipod touch apps would crash from time to time. Then there was an update and apps crash more and more. Soon the apps stopped crashing after a few more updates but safari crashes alot. I tried deleting all of the apps in multitasking but that did little to help the problem. This is getting really annoying so can someone please help?

That would sometimes happen to me to and all you have to do is renew your Wi-Fi lease when you click on your Wi-Fi server or turn wi fi off then wait 4 awhile then turn it on, seems to work for me

  • Mysteriously my safari app disappeared from my Ipod Touch 3rd gen.  How do I reload it?  I "restored" my ipod from my Mac Book, but still no safari.  Any help appreciated.

My ipod touch 3rd gen suddenly lost the safari app.  I restored it from my mac book sync, but still no app.  I'm wondering if when I messed around with "restrictions" through settings did something.  Any help is appreciated.

Go to your Home screen on the iPod then swipe to the left so you see the white search field top of the window. Type in: Safari  then tap Search.
Tap Settings / General / Restrictions. On or off?

  • 4.4 GB Missing storage in ipod touch (really)

Am am aware that my ipod touch came with 28 GB (not 32 GB) of free storage available.  This is a real issue of 4.4 GB having been lost.
    ipod touch 4G  IOS 5.0.1  32GB
Settings>Usage>Storage says that I have used 12.1 GB.
Adding all the numbers for music and apps:
    Music               6.9 GB
    Medscape   61.7 MB
    Skype      42.4
    MotionX    37.1
    IMDB       25.0
    Yelp       22.7
    Words      21.6
    Sunrise    21.0
    Weather    10.7
    NPR         9.7
    iheart      7.8
    key ring    6.8
    urbanspoon  5.4
    wine ratings3.1
    vegout      1.6
    bad elf     1.1
    gps info     .248
So 277 MB of apps plus 6.9 GB of music = 7.7 GB used.
    12.1 GB - 7.7 GB = 4.4 GB missing
This probably happened while attempting to transfer music to the ipod from a Windows XP PC.  The transfer failed once partway through.  It worked the  last time.  The PC reports that the music library contains 6.9 GB.  All the music that I see on the ipod is the music that is in the PC library and there are not duplicates or other evidence of large spurious files.
What I would like is an app or PC based program that can look at the ipod file system, find the lost sectors and put them back into the available storage pool.
I really don't want reset the ipod back to factory settings and start all over again.

Thanks for your reply.  At the moment I don't think I need to check what you said, although I understand what you said about app size..
I used a third party tool to check the contents of the music folder (iPod/Media/iTunes_Control/Music/F47) in the ipod touch.  There were about 1775 mp3 files totalling about 10.2 GB. That is 3.3 GB different from the actual size of the music library (6.9 GB).  Thats most of the discrepancy.  This seems to confirm my suspicions that files got added to the ipod music folder without the library database being properly updated.  There must be some tool that can look at the files in the music folder and see if there are corresponding entries in the database and delete the files if they aren't in the database.
(The iPod is a gift and I am trying to remain optomistic about it).

  • Router number missing from my iPod Touch

Hi, I just bought for x-mas an iPod Touch 16G and I am trying to connect to Wi-Fi of my home and it is not possible. In the settings of the wi-fi I do not get the number of router and the number of the subnet mask that I get is wrong. How can I fix this problem?. I've entered manually the number of the router and the subnet mask, and still I'm not able to connect to internet. PLEASE HELP.

A couple of things come to mind but most of them are related to your router. To be sure, start with resetting your Touch's network settings (Settings > General > Reset > Network Settings).
If your router information is still not showing, it's time to start looking at your router: 1)power cycle your router, 2) make sure the following parameters are set:
    DHCP - On
    MAC address filtering - Off
    SSID - On
Encryption - On and set to WPA or WPA 2
If you are still having problems connecting, look for firmware updates to your router and install those.

  • What happened to my cover art? It's all still in my iTunes library, but some of it missing on my iPod Touch, and appears instead as a white square with a gray music note or a black square. Please help me out.

Plus, some of the cover art is mixed up and some of the covers have even been replaced with combinations of multiple albums. And every once in a while, a song will play on its own, without me pressing play, and it skips as if I'm holding the forward button. This iPod is only a few months old so I'm really worried! This just started today after I had it plugged into my computer and synced it. It might have been caused by a tree that fell and knocked out the power in our area while the iPod was plugged in. Can someone please tell me how to fix it? Would taking it into an Apple store help?

    Hello Philly,
I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?)  touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.
