Many Thanks
Aby

abytoaby,
When I attempt to access adcbactive.com I'm getting a "Phishing" warning through the Open Dns servers that I'm using.  In fact, Open Dns is blocking me from loading that site.  Be careful...

  • Lync 2010 Client unable to verify certificate - External access

we have recently setup Lync 2013 and it is working fine internally.  I am now trying to setup external access. We only require the remote users to be able to use their client externally without VPN.
I have setup the edge server with 1 NAT'd public ip address and FQDN option. So the 3 services are using the same IP but different port(as shown below).
    access access.domain.com port 5061
    webconf access.domain.com port 444
    A/V access.domain.com port 443
I used our internal CA to issue internal and external certificates and then added the Internal CA as a trusted root CA on the machine with the client trying to connect externally.
I have published the following records to external dns:
    _sip_tls.domain.com which points to access.domain.com
access.domain.com points to the public ip on the firewall
I expected at this point that I would be able to login. Auto configuration times out externally.  If I manually set the external server name to "access.domain.com" and try to sign in it says "there was a problem verifying the certificate
    from the server".
the logs on the client says:
    SECURE_SOCKET: negotiation failed: 80090322, principal name: [access.domain.com]
Also I can see the traffic going from my external client to the firewall to the edge server.
I understand that the external certificate on the edge should be through a public CA but we won't be using any of federation options so my internal CA cert should work for logging in through the client?  What am i missing?
Let me know if i can provide more info.
    Thanks!

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box.
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem(s)?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
Note: If you’ve activated FileVault in Mac OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.) Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

  • Unable to verify the certificate - code will be treated as unsigned.

    Hello
I don't know if I asking this question in the right category, but I will try.
We have a web application using JInitiator and we got a message when we open the application.
    This message is:
    "Java Plug-in Security Warning:
Unable to verify the certificate - code will be treated as unsigned."
We didn't have this message before and in some case, it's always showing up at start up. When we click "OK", the application look like it open normally. I made some research on this, but I didn't find why this happen. I don't know if someone know about this ?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Is there any solution for this?
This happens to us too, but only on one machine. Difference between this machine and others is, that this machine has forms builder installed.
This message appears since we installed patch 8727236 - on AS and this machine where forms builder is.
    Any solution?

  • I can no longer use my aol on mac mail. When I set up the aol account name and password I get a message that says "Unable to verify account name or password". This is on all my Apple devices. Seems like an AOL server issue but no help from them!

I can no longer make my AOL e mail work with Mac Mail on all my devices. When I try to set up the account and put in the correct aol account and password I get the message "Unable to verify account name or password". I know the account name and password is correct as I can open the AOL e mail page on Safari. I have changed the password, and it still does not work. AOL tech support has been no help. AOL email worked for years but last week due to suspected spam activity AOL locked my AOL account. I got that straightened out but now i cannot set it up on any of my devices: Macbook Air, Ipad, I pad mini and iPhone 6 without that message. I took everything to Apple store and everything is set up correctly on my devices. AOL tech support is no help and keeps giving me different solutions and answers, none of which has worked. Any solutions out there? All my Apple Software is up to date on all my devices

  • Unable to verify my information

I'm getting really frusterated with my orders constantly getting canceled with the reason "we were unable to verify your information".  Customer service has no clue why either.  I'd like to get to the bottom of it before I decide to spend my money elsewhere from now on.  The most frusterating part is I'm using a reward certificate and it takes a few daysd to reimburse it back into my account before I can try again.  Is there sometihing in particular that causes these cancellations?

Greetings Derek712, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,
I can imagine feeling frustrated if orders you recently placed on BestBuy.com were cancelled and no exact reason was given as to why.  As you mentioned, it can take up to 6 business days for a certificates point value to repost to a member's My Best Buy™ account following a return or cancellation.  That could potentially delay your chances to place another order before a sale or promotional offer expires.
The most common reason a BestBuy.com order will be cancelled is because the information entered during the online checkout process does not match or cannot be confirmed.  If the billing address does not match what the bank has on file or if a shipping address cannot be confirmed, then an order might end up being cancelled.  I would suggest not placing any other orders until we can find out why your previous orders were cancelled.
I am very sorry for any inconvenience you have experienced and would like to see what I can do to further assist.  To go over the orders that have been cancelled and to gather some additional information, I will be sending you a private message.  You can check your private messages by logging into the forum and clicking on the little yellow envelope icon located at the top of the page.
I hope that you have a safe and happy 4th of July!

  • "unable to find certificate" in Sun One Web Server 6.1

I have created a CA and a self-signed cert with the certutil command as described at this URL: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/tools/certutil.html
I can use certutil to verify that the cert shows up with the nickname I gave it, and the -V option claims that it is a valid certificate. However, referencing that nickname in the server.xml gives me a "CORE1259: unable to find certificate testcert" error and the server dies. I wish I could do a screen capture but we don't allow connections into our lab environment. I have watched the server startup under truss and I can see that it is opening the correct cert8.db file and I can even see references to the certificate nickname in what it is reading, but still the error occurs. Has anyone else had this problem or have ideas on where to look next?

    Is your cert marked as a user cert?certutil -d /opt/SUNWwbsvr/alias -P instance-hostname- -M -n testcert -t u,u,u

  • VPNclient unable to connent to pix: unable to verify certifictat

    Hi,
we are using ciscovpnclient 4.0.3 to connect remotely to a pix 515E. The authorisationmethod on the client is a certificate on an Aladinn etoken usbsmartcard.
When we plugin the vpnclient (on a notebook) in the pix. (And we are logged in locally on de Vpnclientmachine) we are able to connect to the lan through the pix with. But when we connect over the internet we are not be able to get a connection. Before the vpnclient is contacting the pix we see a message: Unable to verify certifictate. (The certificate is on the usbetoken en is ok).
Does someone have an idea whats is the cause?
    thanks!!

Thanks for your tip, but it did not work. Maybe an other piece of software than the dvdplayer or messenger is the cause: I am gonna reinstal the pc with a fresh os and no other necessary software on it, maybe that wil work.

  • Yahoo email client unable to verify

Following endless requests to reset password I deleted my BT POP account from MacBook Pro. Now trying to setup the account again in Mac Mail client and continually get error:
unable to verify account name and password
Just to underline the absurdity of this error, I currently have access to BT mail via Webmail in Safari (obviously no problem with my account name and password there) also on an iPad and BlackBerry and a Mac Pro in my studio.
    Any ideas gratefully received

Make sure you have entered the correct settings. They are........
    Server    mail.btinternet.com (incoming and outgoing)
User name  full btinternet address  i.e  [email protected]
    Incoming port for POP3  995
    Outgoing SMTP port 465
    SSL enabled
Server requires authentication ticked (or whatever the equivalent setting is in Mac Mail)
Password  plain text (or whatever the equivalent setting is in Mac Mail)
Set the account up manually rather than automatically

  • Safari is unable to save in HTML (source page option) offline webarchives

    Hello!
Some years ago I made a very difficult and prolonged research: I found over 1500 web pages of medical researches and I stored it on the hard disk, using safari.
I didn't know that its default format file is .webarchive.
Now I have these 1500 .webarchive files and I need to use it on other PCs (also Windows and Linux systems), and they take 800 MB on my pendrive! (webarchive are bigger than imageless html files).
I need to convert them in HTML format.
Only 3 methods exist in the world:
    1) from terminal: textutil -convert html FILENAME.webarchive. I drag and drop 10 files a time in the webarchive window after the command string, but it converts about 5-6 files on 10: for the other it gives an error. Some files are impossible to convert using this method.
    2) WebArchive folderizer: I could drag and drop all the webarchive files on its small window: it will convert each webarchive file in a folder with the same name of the file. Then I could select all the folders, use FINDER's search function letting it find just HTML files and then move them in a folder and delete all the subfolders.
But the HTML files extracted do not keep the original filename! This is important for me, because I need that each file must have the name of the medical research. I'll have to find (reading a list made in neooffice) the files and read them: over 1500 files, and it will need lots of time make an internal file text search method each time!
    3) Webarcher: it converts the files in .war format, not html. It is compatible with Windows, but it keeps the images, like a webarchive, and the space requied is high too.
The method that I could use is this:
Open the file with Safari in OSX, and re-save it in the "source page" (HTML) format... but.... SURPRISE!!!
If I open a web-page with Safari, and I choose "save as...", it let me choose the format (html or webarchive).
If I open a hard disk stored page with Safari, and I choose "save as...", the small menu in which I should choice the format... disappears!!!
This happened years ago... now the OS X is newer... the Safari is newer... but the problem is the same!
    How could I solve it?
    Is this a bug?
    Thank you!

Since Safari is able to save as HTML file a page if it is opened online (from web), making "Save as...", and it is unable to make so if the webarchive file is on the hard disk...I tried to upload on a web server some .webarchive files.
Then I went online in the web page with the list of all the uploaded .webarchive files... (ex.: http://....filename1.webarchive, etc...)...
My goal was to open ONLINE (not on hard disk) the files and then make "save as...",... but... SURPRISE!!! Safari is UNABLE to open a webarchive file from the web, it asks me where to save the file... it can only save it, it writes that it is an "application"...
I think this happens because .webarchive is not a real web page but a "package"... but my displeasure is this:
Once opened an hard disk's webarchive file, its content is loaded in ram and it appears like a normal web page (html + images + etc...)... so, in this moment, Safari should be able to save it "as...." HTML file too.... discarding images and other objects....
    Any advice?
    Thank you!!!
