Safari isn't loading webpage correctly, anything I can do?

Hello
I'm trying to use www.referenceusa.com through my local library's website www.cclibraries.com but when clicking on the Reference USA logo/link under resources in the center of the page I don't receive the prompt to to login. I've tried using Firefox & Internet Explorer for Mac but nothing seems to be working. Can someone test this on their computer and if anyone has any idea on how I can make this work please feel free to fill me in because I'm in great need!
Thank you!

Hi,
I got it to work. I'm running v10.6.6 with Safari 5.0.3 which is up to date. From your Safari menu bar click Safari / About Safari. If Safari isn't up to date, click your Apple () menu (top left in your screen) Software Update ...
If Safari is 5.0.3 already, from your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab. Click the *Show Cookies* button. Delete any cookies related to: cclibraries.com and referenceusa.com
Quit Safari (Command + A) then relaunch Safari and try accessing the login area again.

  • Safari is not loading pages correctly or even not at all. Help please!

So my Safari is not loading pages correctly, making some have just plain text with no images, and others partially loaded with no images or no video.
Some pages, after trying to refresh, completely refuse to load and say that Safari can't find the server. These pages work on firefox, which is also on the same computer and what I am having to use to type this currently.
I have already reset Safari, as well as disabled extensions (which I didn't have any) and neither has fixed the issue.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

  • Safari will not load webpages

Safari will not load web pages. The browser hangs and stops loading completel and will not connect to the internet, even though I am perfectly connected to wifi...so I know it's not the wifi that's a problem. I have looked through multiple forums for troubleshooting safari to no avail.
I know for a fact that the problem lies within safari SOMEWHERE, and since the only way for me to connect to the internet is through safari (i'm on a school network that doesn't allow me to connect to any other web browsers), I can't run any updates, reinstall safari, download any programs, etc.
I'm totally stuck in a rut and I don't know what to do...help!

Launch the Terminal application and copy or drag -- don't type -- the line below into the window:
    curl -I http://www.apple.com
Press return. You should get several lines of output below what you entered, starting with this:
    HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    Is that what you get?
    Safari will not load webpages
I figured out a way to drag the link into the terminal application, and I did get lines of output starting with HTTP/1.1 200 OK

  • Safari is not displaying webpages correctly

HELP! Safari does not display certain webpages correctly. I also have this problem with internet explorer. For instance, in Yahoo I expect to see certain icons with the ability to change color and text, but none of the boxes are displayed as they should be when using a PC. Most recently, I have a problem with a blog webpage that does not display all of the text editing functions. Instead I get all of the html script or java script text (not sure which one). It is really frustrating.
    Please help!

Some common sites have text editing functions that can only be used from a Windows system. Most likely all you can do is complain to them about it. As for the blog, no one can possibly help you without a url, so they can see what the problem might be.

  • My Safari is not loading YouTube correctly, please help.

Starting on January 15th, 2009, my Safari no longer loads Youtube.com correctly. The homepage looks bizarre, and not like it should. The other links on the page all have similar issues. I have below two screenshots to help visualize what I am trying to describe:
    http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp90/Mezamete/Picture1.png
    http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp90/Mezamete/Picture1-1.png
This is with Safari version 2.0.4 (419.3)
Flash player is freshly updated, if anyone is curious about that.
I would love to be able to use Safari again to view my youtube. As it is, I can see it just fine in Firefox.

    Hi,
Have you tried resetting Safari? You can do this via Safari menu > Reset Safari...
Also, is there a reason why you aren't running the latest versions of OS X and Safari? OS X 10.4.11 comes with Safari 3, and the latest updates to 10.4.11 now take Safari up to 3.2.1. The latest versions can be obtained by running System Preferences > Software Update

  • Safari 5.1.1 doesn't load webpages correctly

Every since updating yesterday to Safari 5.1.1 my webpages don't seem to be loading correctly. For instance, when loading NYTimes.com I get all of the text, but in each picture there is a "?".  When clicking on an article, the webpage doesn't load correctly. See the picture below:
On some webpages, such as store.apple.com, it says the server cannot be found and doesn't load the page at all, but in Firefox it will fly right up.  I know Apple provided the following solution (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3408), but none of these have worked.  I have reset safari as well and that doesn't seem to work. This is also happening on my iPad as well. Is this something to do with the update to iOS5 and the new Safari browser or is it something on my end?  I have owned many Apple products, but this is the first time something like this has happened on a repeated basis.  Anyone have any ideas?

but in each picture there is a "?"
Make sure: Display images when the page opens is selected in Safari / Preferences - Appearance
This is also happening on my iPad as well.
    Tap Settings / Safari.
Clear the History, Cookies, and Cache. Restart the iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Safari isn't loading.  What should I do?

When I open Safari, it doesn't load.  The load bar stays about 1/10 loaded and the pointer pinwheels.  I thought at first it was my homepage, but I am able to access that same page in both Google Chrome and Firefox.  I am connected to the internet - Chrome and Firefox work, iTunes and the App Store work.  I was able at one point to try going to another website on Safari, and that didn't load either.  I tried reinstalling Safari and it still won't work.
Could there be a setting or something that has to be reset?
    Does anyone have any ideas??
    Thank you!!

Do you have anything in the following folders in your home folder, if they exist:
    Library/Fonts
    Library/Input Methods
    Library/Internet Plug-Ins
    Library/ScriptingAdditions
Also, do you have SIMBL installed? It would be in the folder
    /Library/Input Managers
at the top level of your boot volume (not in your home folder.)

  • Safari Will Not Load Webpages since iCloud and osx software update

I already had updated to osx lion, and this was just a package update for it, including iCloud.  Ever since I am able to open safari no problem and occasionally after about 5mins it will load a webpage.  I also use firefox and opera and i do not have a problem with either of those but I would prefer to continue using safari if it can be fixed.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, quit then relaunch Safari to test.

  • Safari fails to load webpages

    Running Safari 5.1.2 (6534.52.7), OSX 10.6.8.
Okay I don't know what the deal is, but lately Safari has been having issues connecting to websites.  Randomly happens on basically every website out there.  Could be in a forum, press next to go to the next page and the balcnk page pops up unable to connect.  It's Safari that's doing it, everything else is fine.  I don't know what was pushed by Apple lately, but whatever it was, it broke Safari.  It's getting annoying to say the least.  The fact that it just randomly decides that it cannot load a page is so aggrivating.  You'd think it would be able to load a page from cache that it just was at, nooo, it claims it cannot connect to the site and you have to reset Safari, exit, and HOPE, that it will actually let you visit a site that you frequent often... like even Apple's own website.  There is something seriously wrong with it at the moment and it's getting to the point now where I will probably just stop using Safari altogether.  It's just that annoying.  How would you like to call your Mother and have the phone tell you no such number exists?  Funny, I've called it a thousand times, but the phone is now telling me it doesn't exist.  Then poof, it decides it does exist.  Then it doesn't.  Then it does.  Then doesn't.

  • Safari does not load webpages.

Hello, I have recently had a problem with webpages not loading in Safari. Some pages load up fine while others attempt to load but end up saying that "Safari cannot find the server." Does anyone know what the problem might be? I am using Mavericks 10.9.1 and Safari 7.0.1, I have also noticed some pages take extemely long to load. This was never a problem before it had just started happening over the past couple of days. Thanks for your help.

    HI,
    Several things to try.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons and click Reset. Relaunch Safari. If you still have problems accessing some websites...
Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem. Safari: Add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
If third party Safari add-ons aren't the issue, Go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop.
Relaunch Safari and see if that makes a difference. If not, move the .plist file back to the Preferences folder. If Safari functions as it should, move that .plist file to the Trash.
    And repair disk permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

  • Safari freezes when loading webpages, rainbow wheel

When loading some webpages, especially blogs with pictures from blogspot.com, safari freezes about 75% into loading the page. The rainbow wheel appears and spins indefinitely and does not stop until I force quit the program. This happens on Firefox, too. The problem occurs nearly every time I try loading these webpages.
This problem began once I installed Leopard.

    Nevermind, I figured it out.
Some flash files were corrupted, so I updated those and repaired permissions.

  • Safari won't load webpages until about 10 seconds after initial launch

This problem started happening to me after I upgraded to 10.6 and has remained after 10.6.1 update, using Safari 4.
Basically, when I first load up Safari the home page (Google) is taking about 10 to 20 seconds to load up. I'm stuck with a white screen, with the banner bar informing me that it's loading but nothing comes up for 10 to 20 seconds. During this period if I click on any other of my links they won't load either. After 10 to 20 seconds is over i can load any page instantly, with no more problems occurring at all.
If I close all Safari windows and then open up another it all runs fine still. However, if I quit Safari all together, and then reopen it, I am faced with the same 10 to 20 second wait to load any webpages again. I really don't know what it could be. It's not my internet, I have a quick connection, it happens at home and at work on my MBP, and both through wireless or ethernet connections.
I tried entering a manual DNS server upon seeing this written in some other forums but I don't even know if this would help my problem, and it certainly hasn't worked for me. All seems a bit strange and I never had this problem using Leopard.

    Hi,
Mac OS: Long Delay Before Web Pages Start to Load, Then Load Suddenly at Normal Speed
*I tried entering a manual DNS*
If you have not tried Open DNS, go here. Open DNS
Just click the computer icon and follow the instructions.
Empty the Cache. To empty the cache memory go to the Safari menu and click 'Empty Cache
Reset Safari go to the Safari menu and click 'Reset Safari.. select the first 5 buttons and click Reset.
To delete Safari's icon cache using the Finder, open your user folder, navigate to ~/Library/Safari/Icons and delete its contents.

  • Safari won't load page correctly

I've had this problem since the last major update of safari. I use mapquest a lot and what I get is the text and advertising mixing together and I can't read the directions, so I have been using internet explorer for those web pages and a couple of others.example

Is this my computer or does anyone else have this problem?

    Hi Jeffrey,
    Welcome to Discussions!
Your link works fine for me with Safari 2.0 and OS X 10.4.2.
What things have you tried so far to correct the problem?
One quick test you can do to help narrow down things is browse to that address with Safari in another user account. This will help us to know whether your problem is local to your account or system wide.
If you don't have another account you can use System Preferences -> Accounts -> [+] to create a test one (and [-] to remove it if needed - I usually keep a test account for debugging when needed

  • Safari Won't load webpages

    Hi,
I am getting a problem with my iphone's safari browser. When I try to load a page it never loads and just processes infinitely. I have tried different sites, tried clearing caches and history, tried opening sites in new pages, tried using 3G and Wifi, and tried google search and the regular address search with no results. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks.

Glad it was an easy fix, and thanks for the !
FYI, it's not a bad idea to reset the iPhone every couple of days - it clears out the caches, forces a reconnection to the cellular network, and can prevent issues with crashing apps (happens with certain memory-hogging apps, like when one uses a file transfer app to display a large spreadsheet).

  • Ipad air safari won't load webpages

My ipad air won't load some webpages.  Seems to happen most when I want a random piece of info and enter it into the search box.  Sometimes will bring up google page, but will not load my selection.
I have followed all the suggestions I can find:
    Reboot
    Clear cookies and history
    Hold down sleep/home button
    resetting all
    rebooting router
I have an iphone 4 which will load pages that ipad air will not using same router
I purchased Netgear router from Costco last August, so it should be up to date
I have satellite internet which is sometimes very slow, but samsung tab works, Hp netbook works and iphone works
I sit in the same chair with all devices!
I appreciate any suggestions.  I am not a "techie", so I am hoping for simple words.  I don't know, for instance, if DNS server even applies to me with the satellite service
The nearest apple store is 125 miles away, but I will go there if that is the only recourse.  I purchased the Apple care with my device, which I have had about two months.  I didn't immediately realize I had a problem.

    Power Cycle
Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
    Restart the computer.
    Start up in Safe Mode.
