Safari issue with logins

when I try to log in to a site using Safari it will not log in. I am currently on iPhone 5s with OS 7.0.3 My wife is on iPhone 5 with OS 7 and does NOT have this issue.
Any suggestions on if there is a setting I need to change?

To the moderator. Thank you for approving my post, but how am I suppose to show what I am talking about if you go and remove the url examples I put in my post? The links were not bad, spam or etc, they were just examples paths I made up.

Safari issues with Tabs, Video, and Java

Hi. I updated to Lion and Safari 5.1 and did all the software updates. I have a MacBook from 2008. For some reason, I am having a lot of issues with Safari. I hope someone knows what I am doing wrong.
1. Every time I open Safari after I turn on my computer or it wakes up from sleep, I have to do an internet test to get the computer to realize I am still connected to my house WiFi.
2. The computer goes to sleep after 30 secs. Can I change this somehow?
3. I cannot open any videos from YouTube or vidoes my friends have posted on Facebook.
4. I used to be able to drag a link over an existing tab and it would automatically go there. Now I have to drag it to the + sign to get it to open. (command click still works)
5. I tried to check my plug-ins to see if that was the problem. I put all of my internet plug-ins in the trash and added them one by one. Safari seemed to work a lot faster, but then as soon as it went to sleep, I had the same issues. Also, I can't find Java anymore (not in my trash, didn't delete anything from the trash) and I did the java test on a website and it's not showing what it's supposed to. All the software updates say it is fine, but obviously it isn't.
I know this is a lot of stuff, and most of it is probably due to me not really understanding how my mac works. I've been looking through the forums to see if anyone else has all of these issues; after an hour and a half of reading discussions, I gave up. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you.

So, while waiting for some help, I've been continuing my own research.
3. It turned out that it wasn't Java messing with my videos. I just needed version 10,3,181,34 of Adobe Flash and now all videos are working. Hope that helps if anyone else was having similar issues. 4. It turns out that there are several other discussions regarding people who can't drag and drop links into Tabs on Safari. My solution was to write to Apple to ask if they can put that feature back in.
5. I'm not sure if I am still having Java issues, but so far everything I am needing to upload and watch is fine.
One and two are still annoying, so I'll continue to look for solutions. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate them. Hope this helps someone as much as it helped me. I don't want to throw my computer against a wall every 5 seconds now.

Safari Issues with 10.5.3 update

Most of the topics dealing with Safari's issues with the update have to do with it connecting to the internet. I don't have that problem.
Ever since I downloaded 10.5.3 Safari slows down all of my computer's processes. For example, if I open Safari, wait for the homepage (gmail) to load, then try to open any other program, I get the little color wheel for about 5 minutes. Then it loads - try and click anywhere on my computer - little color wheel for another 5 minutes. None of this happens when Safari isn't open.
I've run disk utility about 10 times, but I'm no apple expert so I have no idea what I can possible do after that. Has anyone experienced this problem or have know of any fixes?

Yeah - I figured most people don't see this problem. I don't think I mentioned it was an all encompassing error, I just used the 10.5.3 update as a time line to point when the problem started.
The issue seems to decrease when I am connected to my school's network rather than my home network, which has me worried that it has to deal with my network at home. I didn't notice this distinction before. Now that I have though - I'm going to read through the topic dealing with networking to see if their is a solution there, but from what I have glanced over thus far, my issue is different.

Issue with login page

Hi,
Can anyone help me with the following issue: When I try logging into the login page using the URL_*(http://hostname.domainname)*_ the page is re-directed to the same URL but with https:_ in front of the URL but the login page is not displayed/shown.
But when i remove the 's' from https:_ and press enter i get the login page.Once i Login with the credentials also it is again re-directed to the https:hostname.domainame_.
Again only if i remove the 's' from (https:hostname.domainame) and press Enter do i get the responsibility page.This is happening each and every time when i click on responsibility its re-directed to https: link and i need to remove the 's' from https and press Enter to get the responsibility displayed.
Can anyone help me out with this issue.

Do you have SSL implemented? If not, please review the application context file for any referenced to https and change it to http then run AutoConfig and bounce the services.
Also, check if any of the profile options is set to https and change it to http -- How to Search all of the Profile Options for a Specific Value [ID 282382.1]

Safari issues with at least two sites and RSS Feeds broken

Greetings all. This is my first time posting on here, I'm also a new(er) Apple user. Finally switched from the dark side. Love the Macbook, but after so many years with a PC, I am definitely not within my element on some things. Here are my two issues:
1. On Safari (and Firefox incidentally) if I go to msnbc.com or yahoo.com I get a dysfunctional appearance. msnbc.com simply doesn't load except the outer frames. The inner content doesn't load at all. They have redesigned their site and I still only get the outer frame from the old design. On yahoo.com, it simply gives me a very bland, generic front page and tells me to upgrade to a more current browser. I'm running the most current Safari. Don't know what's wrong. I get some challenges on some other sites i visit, but nothing specific comes to mind - except maybe flash driven applications - heavy flash. They run slow or not at all.
2. I love(d) RSS feeds in Safari. All of a sudden they stopped working. It still shows unread messages - which I cannot clear - and will not load any new messages. If I try to read a feed, it gives me a error page - similar to a non-existent page/link. Not sure how to fix this.
With the first issue, being relatively new to Apple, etc, I honestly don't know if I selected some weird setting unknowingly that is causing my problems or not, etc. Don't know if I caught a virus, bug, etc. Wouldn't know how to find out if I did.
Anyone that is patient, intelligent with Apple and doesn't mind helping out a stupid new Apple user. :o) VERY MUCH APPRECIATED IN ADVANCE!

All companies are out there to make money, however much they try to disguise the fact.
GoldenShoes is partly right. However, not all sites are deliberately designed to just work in IE and Firefox; a lot of developers simply don't realise their code (or parts of it) is not functional in other browsers because at least 90% of the world's population use IE or FF. In other cases, it's just not economically viable to cater to such a tiny percent of the Internet-using population (besides, what would all those people that want to be 'different' do?!
You might want to try contacting those companies and telling them of your problems - after all, they are losing business by doing this and they may be unaware.
The other part of the argument is that FF, and IE especially, let a lot more 'bad', invalid code though to cater to their users. Opera and Safari don't really do this as much, and there is a lot of cross-browser incompatibility.

Intermittent issues with Login using OAM-OIF

We are using OIF (11.1.1.3), OAM (10.1.4.3) for authentication mechanism, it's observed that the login functionality fails intermittently when authnoam request redirects to the login form ( we are using form based authentication in OAM), the request /fed/usr/authnoam is being protected by the OAM in the policy configurations.
Is there any pointer you can provide to pin point where the issue is occurring and why the authnoam request is resulting in the login form page.
We do following
1. The /fed/idp/initiatesso request is fired from webcenter along with returnurl and the providerid parameter are passed in the query string parameter
2. OIF then redirects the request to the authnaom request
3. the credentials are post for the authnoam request.
Your inputs are highly appreciated.

BY enabling the trace logging on Webgate and AccessServer we found that the /fed/usr/authnoam request is getting malformed with credential information. Now we are looking as to why this malformed URL is getting generated and there by causing the authentication failure.

Strange Issue with Login into SDN

Hi,
I am facing a strange issue. If I click on the blog link [Blogs|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs] without login in to SDN, I am able to see the blog page. But once I login to SDN and click on the same link the blog page is not displayed (even though the top header and the left side bars are displayed correctly).
Am I the only one facing this. Could this be some setting with my browser? I am using IE6.

I sometimes get this with IE6 - apparently the most popular browser in the corporate world. I find that completely closing IE6 and then restarting - then login and then go to the blogs will resolve the problem. As I understand it, IE6 is probably the worst version of the software that exists - it improves after that. But at home I use firefox.

Safari issues with iOS 5.1

After updating my iPad 2 to 5.1, I've noticed that some websites are taking even longer to render or just won't load at all. It doesn't matter if I'm using Safari, Dolphin HD, Apollo, etc...same issue. Anyone else having this problem? Maybe someone has a fix? I have already restored the iPad and routinely clear the cache and cookies. My iPhone is having the same issue, as well, both over wifi and 3G. I have tested my wifi and other devices are working with no issues on it.

I am also having this same issue but no one from Apple seems to read or respond to these posts.

Safari issue with cascading style sheets

I've been using the beta version of Safari 4.0 for weeks with no problems. Now the final version seems to have totally messed up what appears to be cascading style sheets on my blog. My blog looks perfectly fine on other browsers as well as on the old beta version I have on my tower so I know it is not me. Has anyone else noticed this?

Resizing issue with login boxes in Captivate 5

I am recording a software simulation where the user has to enter their login detail in a demonstration.
I have to record it fullscreen (1152 X 864) and then resize it to 750 x 545. That works fine but when I view the resized slides the typed information (login and password) have not shifted relative to the login box and so appears as a field half way down the page instead of inside the box(s).
Has anyone experienced this and is there something I can do apart from recording in 750 x 545 (not ideal as half the login page is cut off) or leaving the whole thing at the higher resolution (when published it means the user will have to scroll to view the entire slide so not ideal either).
I have done it many times in Captivate 4 and it works fine.

Safari issue with Times font

Hello
For some reason, my Safari (2.0.4) is now having trouble displaying any page that seems to have Times on it. I never had this problem before and not sure why it just started. I've been using Font Agent for a while, and even shut it off just to make sure.
Here's a screengrab of a web page showing the garbled font. Also in the screengrab I have Safari preferences located -- the Standard font that is selected is Times, but that, too, appears garbled.

I change change it to another font with success but Times doesn't work.
Any ideas?

I would run "resolve duplicates" and the "validate fonts" from the font book application. I would also get rid of any other haxies you have installed.

Safari issues with M/Lion

Since downloading M/Lion Safari with not load many of my bookmarks including apple website. Get message "Safari can't establish a secure connection to server" Help!

David thank you for your help. I went on to find that M/Lion download totally screwed up my computer. Almost nothing worked, data lost, mail lost you name it. In the end I restored my system and gave up with M/Lion.
Apple could not have got it more wrong if they tried!

Wi-fi and safari issues with a specific site

My iPad wouldn't connect to my banks website or my banking app via my home wi-fi today. It works when I change to mobile data though. I'm able to browse other websites with ease via the same wi-fi connection though. Yet when I use the same wi-fi connection on my home PC, I'm able to connect to the bank website. I took my iPad into an iStore today, and I could connect via their wi-fi. So it appears to be a compatibility issue between my home wi-fi and my iPad. Please let me know if you can help, as I'm stumped!

Your understanding of the problem seems correct to me. There's no way to fix it except to replace the logic board.
