Safari on my iMac keeps crashing. Is my system too old for the newest updates?

First, make sure Safari is up to date.
Click your Apple menu icon. From the drop down menu click Software Update.
If the system software is up to date, post a Safari crash report. That may tell us what's causing Safari.
If Safari has just crashed, press the Report button on the CrashReporter dialog box to view the crash information.
Now copy/paste the entire contents of the Crash Reporter window into your reply here. If the crash report dialog does not appear or the crash is hard to reproduce, crash logs can be retrieved from the ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter> folder.
*** You should be able to run Safari without any problems on Mac OS X 10.6.8

Since today, Firefox keeps crashing as soon as I start using it, I've already looked for some ways to fix this online, but none of them helped.
My plug-ins are up to date, and I already reinstalled it, none of those things helped.

You can try this and it may help some.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

This may even be worth a try - reset the iPad.

Safari seems to have some memory management issues since the iOS 5 update that Apple needs to fix and this issue has been reported to Apple many times by now. Those of us who suffer from these crashes are waiting for an update from Apple that will resolve this.

If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
If the issue persists...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

Try updating your QuickTime to the most recent version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?
