Safari keeps freezing while using Yahoo mail. Have to close out or reset safari to regain access. Anyone else ever have this problem?

Why not use Mac Mail instead of Yahoo's web based mail and having to access it via Safari and deal with incompatibility issues?
Open Mac Mail.
From the menu bar top of your screen click Mail / Preferences then select the Accounts tab then the Account Information tab.
Click + (plus) under the Accounts panel on the left.
Type in your name, Yahoo email address and Yahoo password then click Create.
It's that easy.
To view incoming mail or start a new mail message just click the Mail icon in your Dock. If the Mail icon isn't in the Dock, go to your Applications folder, launch Mail. Then click and hold the Mail icon in the Dock, click Option / Keep In Dock.

The beachball appears and I have to wait.
My safari cache is emptied, have run Disk Utility to check permissions.
Rebooted various times.
Sorted out ``the community toolbar not supported" issue and still it's happening.

Processor is 3.06 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo

I have only been able to read your reply by going online on my phone -
I started up my iMac in safe mode on Saturday morning and reran Disk Utility , no problems.
I shut it down and re started it as normal. Whilst I was able to use my Mail and MS entourage and Safari brower,
the computer was very slow and the beachball appeared briefly each time I used a program.
On Monday , it didn't recognise one of the printers and was continually hanging.
All software is up to date and I have run Disk Utility - repair permissions again.
I shut the computer down yesterday and rebooted in Safe mode this afternoon so that I could try to look in
Console.

Elements keeps freezing when I try to use healing brush tool. I'm running Yosemite. Tried to download a "plug-in" workaround, but it just comes up blank.

Safari cannot attach a Keynote file when using Yahoo Mail or Hotmail...

I want to send a Keynote file in Yahoo mail to my friend, but when I hit the "choose file" button, the file appeared grey and I was unable to select it. I switch to Hotmail and the same thing happen. I also notice that the same thing happen to a Pages file. I have the newest version of both Pages, Keynote and Safari.

I tried to attach a Keynote theme file (.kth) since I don't have any Keynote files, and it was greyed out. However, if I use the contextual menu to create a an archive of the .kth file, that zip archive will attach.

When using yahoo mail on firefox, when replying to emails the first letter has started to not record/appear. not an issue with my clicking, rather firefox recording the letter/digit. this does not appear to be an issue on Safari or Chrome.

I believe that our “Werbung problem” adds an additional second hyperlink to the pop-up window. This second link is activated whenever you trigger a saved hyperlink to a Mail.com site.
I had the same problem and eliminated it by deleting all bookmarks, hyperlinks and automatic links that take firefox to a mail.com address. So I just deleted all bookmarks I had saved for mail.com. I also changed my home page link because it also went to my email at mail.com. I then did a warm boot, opened firefox and re-saved my bookmarks and homepage to the desired addresses. Good luck.

IPad keeps freezing when using iplayer

I have just updated my iPad to 4.2 and since then when using iplayer the screen freezes after about 3-5 minutes. I have cleared both cookies and cache from the settings menu and this has made no difference!? Very frustrating when you've jst started to settle into a programme, advise please

If you are using safari to watch iPlayer, enable debug console in the safari settings and check to see if there are any errors, iPlayer uses quicktime for the video, there may be an issue with that. I checked and found no errors when using iPlayer in safari. Try restarting your device. Also, if it is available in your country, there is an iPlayer app,

When using Yahoo mail my contacts are there one minute and when you click on the they all go away and it says you have no contact

The TO box used to auto fill when I started typing if an address was in my Contact list. The + at the end of the area for an email address says I have no Contacts
With Firefox, Yahoo Mail works normally except for contacts, when I click "Contacts" I get a screen with no names listed. If I start a new eMail and click "To" the listing appears as normal.
When I launch Yahoo Mail from Internet Explorer, the "Contacts" tab works normally.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.

Computer Locks up when using Yahoo mail

My computer locks up everytime I log into Yahoo mail. A little colored pinwheel comes on and I have to do a force quit on Explorer. This has going on for about 6 months now, and is really irritating. Anyone else having this problem? Any fixes?

If you don't have it, you will have to download and install.....you set it up just like you set up Explorer or Safari !!!
In Fact once FireFox is installed... a dialog will appear asking if you want to use Fire Fox as you browser

When using Yahoo Mail in Firefox, I can't copy and paste pictures from a third-party host. I can do this in MSIE 8.

I'm accustomed to copying pictures that I placed on a third-party host (Photobucket or Multiply) and pasting them into the body of a Yahoo Mail message. I can't do that on Firefox. When I click "Paste," nothing happens.

Iphone freezing when using ipod & mail or web

My iphone has just recently begun to Freeze - and forcing me to force quit and full restart/reset sometimes when I am listening to a podcast/music and then using either safari or the mail app. I have done a full restore when syncing erasing and restoring the phone - and it seems to work well.... for a while and then the problems start again - increasing in frequency -
An suggestions - anyone else out there having the same issues?
I am using the latest system software for the iphone 1.1.4 - 8gig iphone with 2.6 still free.

Safari tab freezes when using gestures to navigate

Hi guys, I am really hoping someone can help me out here before I explode! Here is the issue. When I use the gestures (2 finger swipes) inside of Safari, occasionally the tab I am in will stop responding. The tab no longer will allow me to go back or forwards, if i enter an address in the bar it will not go to the address it just stays on the broken page i am on. If I open a new tab I can navigate to a new address, however the gestures do not work at all, no back or scrolling inside of safari. Gestures work outside of safari for example I can scroll in word or in notepad. To reset the issue if i quit Safari and relaunch it will work again for some time, before presenting again. It is also worth mentioning that if i "reset" safari from the menu the application will die and require a forcequit. This issue is only happening in Safari.
Here is what i have tried:
PRAM reset
Verify disk permissions
Update Java
Delete local content in flash player
Reboot
This issue does not appear to happen in other user accounts, though it is intermittent so Just may not have occurred while testing.
There is nothing notable logged in the console when the issue occurs.
Something strange I noticed is that the apple update window/appstore show the same behavior.
I am getting seriously frustrated that I can't fix this and have spent a good amount of time on it.
Any assistance would be helpful!

Software OS X 10.9.2 (13C64)

Startup your Mac in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot takes much longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from the Apple () menu.
Then try gestures on Safari to test.

I just updated to Firefox 9.0.1 and when using Yahoo mail I can no longer send an SMS. What happened?

Selecting the drop down arrow displays the SMS option. Clicking on it does not show any activation. Has always worked before.

Recently, the Yahoo Toolbar and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause that problem ---- you have both installed. They seem to overlap invisibly over the top of the web page display. If you have either or both, uninstall or disable them/it, or see if an update is available that solves the problem.

Mail stalls and freezes when using "Send Mail" from Filemaker. HELP!!!!

When I run Send Mail from Filemaker, there seems to be a limit to the number of email addresses Mac Mail can accept for broadcasting the same email to many people. It seems to stall and freeze at around 100 email addresses. Is there a fix for this or a setting that I have overlooked? I need to be able to broadcast mail to hundreds of recipients. Help????

This is likely not an issue with FileMaker but with your email provider that prevents you from 'spamming'. You'd need to send your emails in 'batches'. SMTPit might help here.

Safari keeps crashing when using Java

I have seen 1 million posts asking why Safari crashes. It recently started on my iPAD first-generation and I haven't updated it at all. Basically because it says there are no updates for my operating system. After trying tons of suggestions I narrowed it down to turning off Java. As soon as I do that it no longer crashes. But I cant open up the gallery view on craigslist or even realtor.com. It seems anything with pictures on the opening page makes it crash. Just started happening so I'm a bit confused. Tried every other remedy on these websites, besides a basic complete backup of the operating system. Still confused why it's happening. Anybody have any answers? Thanks

You are turning Off Javascript not Java. They are two different things. Of course, turning off Javascript will cripple most Websites.
The Safari crashes are possibly caused by a memory shortage. (the iPad 1 only has 256MB). Also, If the storage on your iPad is almost full this could cause crashes.
You could try using Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies and Data and Settings > Safari > Clear History to see if that helps
