Safari keeps reloading on iPad mini

I have an iPad Mini. Safari keeps reloading with a message "A problem occurred with this webpage so it was reloaded". My IOS is up to date and I had restarted the iPad. I've also checked that the website is working on another iPad. Has anyone encountered this before? If so, please share. Thanks!

  • Safari not working on ipad mini

Hello, I can"t seem to get Safari working on my ipad mini. The screen is unresponsive and the text input boxes cannot have any text inputted. I have gone thru the various remedys I have found in this and other forums and nothing has worked. I brought it into an Apple store for a Genius to try and remedy and the inital troubleshooting didn't work. They tried a reboot, reset, and finally a new restore and the results were all the same.....nothing. They then took a brand new iPad mini out of a sealed box and setup that one. Believe it or not, after setting it up the same problem occured on this new iPad mini! So I asked to have my original iPad back as it had a personalization etched on the back but was told it was already swapped out and they couldn't return it to me. So now I have a brand new iPad mini that exhibits the same problem of Safari not working and also the advice from the Genius that in a couple of days Apple will have an update. I haven't seen any updates as yet so I am asking anyone on this forum if they have a solution to get Safari working. By the way everything else on the unit functions, I can surf using Chrome, read emails, etc.
    Thank you

Have you tried turning off syncing in Settings > iCloud > Safari > OFF?
    This solved my question

  • Does the safari app on the iPad mini crashes a lot running on iOS7?

does the safari app on the iPad mini crashes a lot running on iOS7? Because my dad's ipad mini safari app crashes alot.

Try closing all apps in Multitask Window
    1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
    2. Swipe up on the screenshot of the app you want to exit.
    3. The app will fly off the screen

  • Why safari tab keeps reloading on iPad 1 with iOS 5.0.1?

just upgraded my iPad1 3G to iOS 5.0.1 last week; safari's tab keeps reloading on some websites.
for example, using google to search images, i waited till all the images were loaded and safari has stopped page loading; went on another tab, but when i returned to the google images tab, the tab was reloading the page again; tried it again and same thing happened.
    it's cumbersome, time-wasting and costly coz i have a limited 2 Gb data-plan.
    can anyone help?

I am experiencing the very same issue. iOS 5 was always a little less stable than 4 on my iPad (1), but since I've upgraded to 5.0.1 Safari crashes constantly on sites I used to visit frequently without a problem, such as NYTimes.com. Please patch!
    I have tried
    - soft restart (holding buttons down til the Apple icon appears)
    - quitting all suspended apps
    - resetting network settings
To no avail.  Seems to be a memory management problem.

  • Safari keeps crashing on ipad - how to resolve?

I have a 1st gen iPad with all OS software and app software updated to the latest versions and Safari will not open - every time I start the app, it crashes immediately.  I've tried restoring the ipad to factory settings and then restoring from backup with no luck.  Also, any application that uses Safari (like youtube, maps, etc) crashes as well.
Has anyone else experienced this and found a resolution?

So I'm trying to repeat the experience today at home. Its perfect. I can load all sorts of sites like cnn and wunderground that other people over at http://ipad.bigresource.com/Safari-keeps-crashing-g9DKUt5Lu.html are reporting crash safari. I've loaded and played the ipod, load photos and maps and buzzed around all over the place and its rock solid, lots of multitasking and its now OK, Touch wood..
I wonder if its the 3G network when I'm on thre train travelling - that's when it occurs mostly.
Ah ha Facebook just crashed. When I go back to Safari Facebook it does not recall that I was logged on a minute ago, but it does recall my email. Lets try again.
If I click on a friends name to go to their page CRASH. Reload and I'm not logged in any more ! Cookie issue ?
This time I'll try "keep me logged in" option......clicked on Friend again CRASH
Reload - empty Safari screen appears CRASH... Reload same CRASH. Reload - all previous pages are gone.
Facebook, it loads and I'm logged in - Keep option works.Click on Friends OK.
Seems to be with multiple pages open.. lets try 6 pages open no worries.
Loading lots of applications and again it is fine !!!

  • IBooks keep crashing on iPad Mini

iBooks app keep crashing on my iPad mini.
I will be reading a book for couple of pages and the app will crash.
As I purchase new ibooks, it will take a long time anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, to download to my iPad mini.
It's NOT wi-fi issue due to purchased books on Amazon will download to Kindle app in less than 30 seconds
I have closed the app. & restart, but app keep crashing.
In older version of iOS, I can uninstall and re-install the app, it will fix the crash, since I updated to iOS 8.0.2 I'm unable to "un-install" the app.
How do I fix this issue of crashing.

    Hello there, Yan.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps for troubleshooting issues with iOS not functioning as expected, which should help in resolving your issue with iBooks on your iPad:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected,  restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on),  reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • TS3408 Safari on my new iPad mini isn't working - says server stopped responding but no problem accessing the web with my old iPod touch. What's going on?

Safari isn't working on my iPad mini - "server stopped responding" but I can access the web on my old ipodtouch. What's up??

All other apps were working.  We fixed it by reverting to factory settings and starting over.  Thank you!

  • Safari keeps closing on iPad Air

I have an IPad Air and Safari keeps closing with a variety of sites like Instagram tumblr publico....
For instance try espn.com.br zoom in and out and it automatically closes up.
Does anyone know why? Or if there is a solution?

Closing indicates the Safari app is crashing for some reason.
Try resetting the iPad.  Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.
If that does not fix it, check Settings > General > Usage and make sure you have a reasonable amount of free space left on your iPad.
You might try a restore if none of the above work.

  • Typing field in Safari and Apps with iPad Mini

I think there is a bug in iOS 6 on iPad Mini.  When filling out a webform in Safari, or entering text into an app where the text entry box is at the bottom of the page, the keyboard covers the box so that you can't see what you're typing. This makes it impossible to type any more than a couple of words, as you're typing "blind".
In the past, if the keyboard covered the text field, the page would automatically realign to reveal the text box.  This doesn't seem to be happening now.  Not sure whether an iPad mini or iOS 6.0.2 bug.
    Any ideas?

I'm seeing this exact same thing under iOS 6.1.2; it not only forces you to type blind (which is incredibly error-prone when you can't see autocorrect suggestions to dismiss them), but it also prevents access to the clipboard (you can't paste because tap-and-holding to bring up the paste menu invokes the keyboard, which gets in the way of the paste menu).
Unbelievably frustrating, and there's been very little reported about it.

  • Safari keeps reloading due to Error on page - IOS Version 8.1.3? Any help on this please

Hi. My 16Gb Ipad which is running 8.1.3 software has started to have a problem when using Safari. It takes longer to load a page and then sometimes the page I am on disappears and a message comes up saying 'Error on page Web Page reloading. Does anyone have an idea what is causing this as it has only started since uploading the latest version of software? Thanks

    Pierre,
Oddly enough, when cucm was upgraded to 8.0.3 we had uccx running for approx. one month without any of this monitoring / recoding issues. Cucm was upgraded on September end and we started only to have issues on middle november with ccx. We are suprised how ccx monitoring / recording services were working properly for this long and suddenly stopped working. We are on hope that we could find / do any workaround on this issue. However, if we do not have other option unless going for 8.0.2...then we have to go for. Also, IF after this major upgrade 7.0.1 SR5 --> 8.0.2 the issue does not get fixed?
        thanks for your inputs.
      Regards,
    Thiago

  • Gmail page keeps reloading on iPad

I have the first generation iPad.  Now, whenever I go to load my gmail log in page, the iPad goes kind of haywire and just keeps repetitively loading and reloading the page rapidly, no chance to put in user name or password.  Can anyone help?

    1. Double-click the Home button to close all Inactive Apps in Task Bar
    2. Hold the Apps in Task Bar down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
    3. Tap the minus sign to close Apps
    4. Tap center of screen to return to Home Screen
    5. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider

  • How do I get help with a malfunctioning Safari app on my iPad mini?

I've been using the app successfully for quite some time. All of the sudden today, it started spontaneously closing. There is no warning or otherwise abnormal behavior. It simply shuts off. My device home screen appears, I re-open the app and it continues working (but not from the exact same location as before it quit) for a minute or two, then repeats. Is anybody else having issues, know what the problem is, or know who I could contact to get it fixed? The seems to be limited support for my query. I really don't know what to do. It's unusable.

I have reset all settings myself and it is a PITA to enter all of the settings again back to where you had them so I know how you feel.
Issues that crop up in Safari that cant be fixed by clearing the cache and/or resetting all settings only leave a couple of other possibilities that I can think of.  An app conflict, or something corrupt in the Safari software now.
I'm guessing that you know how to close apps in the recents tray and you could try that now, unless you have already attempted that. You could try restoring form a recent backup - if you have a very recent backup. You said that this problem just started today, so there could be something that went corrupt on the iPad today that's causing the problem. Or you could try backing up, restore to factory settings and then restore from the backup.
If none of that works, then a trip to an Apple Store would be your next step. An appointment at an Apple Store for software issues is not necessarliy a paid visit. As far as I know, the overwhemling majority of the time there is no charge for their help at all.
