Safari Log Warning
Hi,
I'm running latest Yosemite and all the updates provided by Apple. I was snooping through my new Macbook Pro Retina (mid 2014) and came across this in the logs of System Report when looking in 'About this Mac' Safari normally works well without any hiccups.
Processor: 2.6 GHz Intel Core i5
Does anyone else get this (I have searched the web and this site):
Mar 24, 2015, 6:15:33 PM Safari[630]: CGContextSaveGState: invalid context 0x0. This is a serious error. This application, or a library it uses, is using an invalid context and is thereby contributing to an overall degradation of system stability and reliability. This notice is a courtesy: please fix this problem. It will become a fatal error in an upcoming update.
Ignore it; that message is meant to be interpreted and dealt with by the Safari engineers and not regular users.

Safari logs me out of websites every day at midnight
A few days ago I was browsing the internet and Safari randomly closed and asked me to "reset" so that it would work. I clicked reset and didn't lose my bookmarks and nothing seemed to be different. At midnight that night Safari logged me out of the websites that I had been logged into, and has done this every night at midnight ever since. Is there any way to fix this? I'd love to have it back like it was.
Message was edited by: lisaserrHi Sonny,
Can you explain in a bit more detail the logging out?
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens. -
Why is Safari stil warning me?
I just got imac/ snow leopard.
A box keep coming up about downloading software. I keep checking not to warn me, safari keeps warning me anyway. what can I do? thanks.HI,
Download and install the 10.6.2 combo update available here.
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL959
It includes fixes that might solve the problem and make sure and repair disk permissions after the installation.
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Safari logs me out of Gmail and refreshes the page.
I have Safari 5.1.4 on Mac OS Lion 10.7.3. I have a 2.52 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro. Throughout the day Safari will constantly reload Gmail and and log me out. Or like right now, I have Gmail open but it has the spinning wheel. Safari reloads my other tabs if I haven't been on them for a while, but it only bothers me with Gmail because I'll have to log back in or it'll do it in the middle of a Gchat.
Also, when I reset Safari, as in clear the cahce, history, etc. this window pops up: http://www.screencast.com/t/JBM4TViWq
I've change it to 32-bit but then Gmail is all white. And I'm not trying to open a movie like the warning says.
Is this happening to anyone else? Is there some setting I need to change? Any help would be greatly apI'd try updating to Safari 5.1.5. (It contains some fixes for issues with running in 32-bit mode, for example, and that seems to be in the vicinity of what you're getting here with 5.1.4.)

Safari logging into hotmail bug.
i've been experiencing problems with logging into hotmail. I'm currently running safari 1.3.2 on osx 10.39. i can no longer leave hotmail as my homepage because it seems to time out after a while and the only way to log back in is to delete all the hotmail cookies. i wiped my harddrive and completely reinstalled my system the other week after a few years of running on the same system. since then safari doesn't open a window when launched at start up, and the hotmail problem. any suggestions?

I dont use Hotmail but this is really strange. In my opinion it has something to do with settings of Internet Explorer because with Firefox everything works. Theoretically this means that nothing is blocking your connection and AntiVirus/Firewall doesnt block these connections to Hotmail.
In options of Internet Explorer you have different Zones, like trusted sites, restricted sites, etc. In your case I would add MSN page that you need to trusted sites.
Furthermore you block/allow Cookies from certain webpages. Make sure that Cookies are not blocked.
Thats all what I can say and the moment and I hope I could help you! :) -
Flashplayer.log Warning codes 1474 and 1475
Hello,
I am using an internal server to push updates to our flash player in a test environment. I have the current version of 15.0.0.189 installed on my client machines, and the same version on my internal server. I am attempting to verify functionality by examining the flashupdate.log file. It seems that everything is working, however i have 2 [warning] codes in my log and I was hoping i could get some assistance in figuring out what they are.
My system info is this:

Server System: Windows Server 2012
Server Flash Version: 15.0.0.189

Hello -
We have 3 x EX2010 SP3 RU5 nodes in a cross-site DAG.
Multi-role servers with 18 GB RAM [increased from 16 GB in an attempt to clear this warning without success].
We run nightly backups on both nodes at the Primary Site.
Node 1 backup covers all mailbox databases [active & passive].
Node 2 backup covers the Public Folders database.
The backups for each database are timed so they do not overlap.
During each backup we get several of these event log warnings:
Log Name: Application
Source: ESE
Date: 23/04/2014 00:47:22
Event ID: 906
Task Category: Performance
Level: Warning
Keywords: Classic
User: N/A
Computer: EX1.xxx.com
Description:
Information Store (5012) A significant portion of the database buffer cache has been written out to the system paging file. This may result in severe performance degradation.
See help link for complete details of possible causes.
Resident cache has fallen by 42523 buffers (or 27%) in the last 903 seconds.
Current Total Percent Resident: 26% (110122 of 421303 buffers)
We've rescheduled the backups and the warning message occurences just move with the backup schedules.
We're not aware of perceived end-user performance degradation, overnight backups in this time zone coincide with the business day for mailbox users in SEA.
I raised a call with the Microsoft Enterprise Support folks, they had a look at BPA output and from their diagnostics tool. We have enough RAM and no major issues detected.
They suggested McAfee AV could be the root of our problems, but we have v8.8 with EX2010 exceptions configured.
Backup software is Asigra V12.2 with latest hotfixes.
We're trying to clear up these warnings as they're throwing SCOM alerts and making a mess of availability reporting.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks in advanceHaving said all that, a colleague has suggested we just limit the amount of RAM available for the EX2010 DB cache
Then it won't have to start releasing RAM when the backup runs, and won't throw SCOM alerts
This attribute should do it...

Go to wed developer and I thought Apple was safaris developer? someone help!On your iPad ???
Tap Settings > Safari then tap to clear History, Cookies, and Deta.
Then reset your iPad..
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.
If you are referring to Safari on your Mac, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then empty the Safari cache.
Back to Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Quit and relaunch Safari then try logging in to that website. -
Safari logging me out of Facebook
I am being constantly logged out of my Facebook, this is whenever I leave my Mac for a longer period of time, or when it goes into sleep, or I quit Safari.
I have checked "Remember me", and never had this problem before about 3-4 days ago. There were no Safari updates in that time that I know of...
I have tried deleting the Facebook cookie, and also emptying my cache to no avail. This is driving me nuts too.. did anyone find out how to fix it?
I have Safari 5.1.7 and it's so annoying. This only just started happening to me last time I updated Safari.
My OS is also up to date.
I've deleted the prefs/library files associated with Safari and reset it.
Any answers?

Safari logs me out very often since IOS5
Since i have installed IOS 5 it's just impossible to write a message on a phpbb site because of the bug of safari that keeps logging me out.
I tried to delete all cookies and history, i shutted down the ipad but it's still there...
I found a very similar problem on the forum about a cookie bug on safari (mac os version) but it's apparently not solved...
I had the same problem on the precedent version but it was less often. It's not casual anymore, i just can't continue like this.
I think it's a major bug on a device which like ipad is designed for friendly navigation on the internet. Using phpbb may be 40 % of my activities on it.
I'll just abandon the browser if i can't find a fix or a solution.
Any ideas ?Try going to Settings > Safari, and look at the Accept Cookies box. Tap on it and make sure it is either set to "From Visited" or "Always". There seems to be a problem during the iOS upgrade process that causes this setting to get changed to not accept cookies, which will mean almost all sites where you have to log in will not work, or will work badly.

My browser (Safari) regularly (every 30 minutes/hour) logs me out of all pages I'm logged into. This happens while I'm using my macbook pro, not when I close it. Any idea what can be happening? Thanks
then we have a few possibilities for a problem:
1. Your cookies file could be corrupted.
2. A file that Safari uses could be harboring some corrupted data, but the file(s) themselves aren't necessarily corrupt.
If you want to test the first possibility,
1. Quit Safari if it's running.
2. Go to ~/Library/Cookies and delete the cookies.plist file.
3. Restart Safari and test it on those sites you were having problems with. If that fixes the problem, then you don't need to do anything else.

Before you crucify me please read the problem I've outlined below, because it's not the same issue other people are having. I did research the forums for the particular issue I'm having and it's not the same as what's already been posted. Please let me explain.
Here is my machine info.
iMac running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 on 2.5 GHZ Intel core.
Safari Version 5.1.7
I run two instances of Safari. I will have 1 safari browser window open on the left side of my screen with 7 tabs all on pages that require login. I run a second instance of Safari on the right side of my screen with only one tab open logged into 1 web page.
Here's what happens. Ocassionaly when switching the focus from one browser to the other all of my logged in web pages will refresh and I'll be logged out of all my logged in web pages, on both open browsers. There's never a certain amount of time that this happens, I've had it happen 3-4 hours into my work day and I've had it happen 10 minutes into my work day. I've also had this occure when I'm putting the focus from one browser window to the other and then I go to resize the width of the window I just put the focus on.
I'm thinking that there must be some setting or short cut "gesture" built into Safari that I'm triggering to make this happen, however I have looked at all the settings and can't seem to find anything that would cause this.
Any help or advice is apprecaited.BDAqua - I have two Safari windows open - I guess in my semi technical mind that equated to two instances. But your probably right, just one instance of app with two windows open.
About two minutes after I posted my question, I was doing some work in one of my tabbed web pages, as I pressed the submit button to update the record on that page and as the page was refreshing I clicked my mouse on the second open Safari window to put the focus on that window, as soon as I put the focus on the second open browser I got logged out of all my logged in tabs in both windows.
The time it happened was sometime between 14:30 and 14:35
I'm looking at the Sytem Log. IN the filter I typed Safari and nothing came up from today in the log.
Just looking at "All Messages" between the hours of 1430 and 1435 their are no messages about safari, just the following.
1/10/13 2:32:22.000 PM kernel: IOSurface: buffer allocation size is zero

Does Safari log Private Browsing toggling?
I have grounded my 14 year old son from gaming/surfing but he needs to use his MBA for a summer school course he is taking. I have had him clear his History in Safari and will be reviewing it regularly but if he toggles Private Browsing it won't show in the History. Is there a way to see if PB has been toggled in a log somewhere or can I disable the PB feature?
Thanks in advance for your help.Yes that will be my last resort as I would have to create an administrator account for me then change his account to a user, etc. I was just looking for an easy way to make him take responsibility for his actions but not take it to where he has to ask for every move he makes on the computer. It would disable several places he needs to go to complete his assignments and after he got my permission to use those avenues he could cheat anyway.
