Safari multiple pages

How come in safari I don't have the two little squares on the top bar to view and open multiple pages all I can do is open new tabs? I have the forward and back arrows the bookmark button and the add bookmark tweet ... Button how can I change it so I can get the multiple pages view?

Safari on iOS 5 uses tabbed browsing, not the thumbnail/page browsing as found in previous iOS versions. You can open new tabs via the '+' on the far right of the tabs bar; and you can close tabs via the '-' on the left end of each tab (though you can't close the last tab).
You can't go back to thumbail/paged browsing, though if you'd like the option you could try leaving feedback for Apple and see if it gets added in a future iOS version : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

Issue with multiple pages in safari

Why is it when you have multiple pages open in safari and you go back to one later it restarts from the begining? I was typing on a forum in one page and opened a new one to check a reference and when I went back to the first one it reset and erased all that I had typed. This is so stupid.

hello prgc37, you original problem was likely caused by a fault extension that you have installed. can you try to [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems|reset firefox]] and see if this can address the issue...
otherwise such connection issues are also often caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions. please remove all program rules for firefox from your firewall and let it detect the new version of the browser again.

Safari opens multiple pages at once

i was unable to close safari and did the force quit and shut down my laptop. now everytime i open safari it opens multiple pages that i can onlt close all of them by selecting quit safari, and my pages don't always load right now.

Try disabling the Lion resume feature...
Open System Preferences > General
Deselect: Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps
Restart your Mac.

IPad 2 iOS 5 multiple pages missing from safari

I upgraded to the iOS 5 and now my safari web page doesn't have multiple pages unlike before that I can have 9 pages simultaneously and just switch from 1 to the next. Please help me fix this.

I thought that there was something that went wrong during my upgrading to the iOS 5, because I went ahead and used the iPad user guide and there with pictures it showed how the multiple pages should look like and mine just showed the tab/plus signs. With that said, I'm very disappointed with the new safari "upgrade". Again, Ty for the quick responses and informative answers.

Safari Reader and multiple page stories

The link below takes you to a five page story in the Washington Post. Reader will only display the first two pages of the story. There is also an ad that appears in Reader at the bottom of the second page. Is there some trick I'm missing to try and get the entire story to display in Reader? I'm able to read other multiple page stories on other newspaper and non-newspaper sites.
I've tried paging though the story without Reader to see if it would save it in cache and then opening Reader but it still only displays two pages at a time.

BTW, I think Reader is the best new function introduced in a web browser in quite a few years.

Thanks for your fast and courteous replies.
I cannot see any button or other icon at the bottom of Reader that would allow me to continue to the next page. The only icons visible are: Zoom, Email, Print and Close. I tried emailing the story to myself just to see what it would send and I only got the first two pages plus the jewelry ad at the bottom of the second page. It sends the document just as Reader displays it. Sorry if this is something obvious I'm missing.
Since you can see these buttons and I can't I'm going to assume this is something peculiar to my installation. I can't imagine what that may be but I'll keep rooting around and see what I can find.

What that button does is sync your tabs between your devices. So if you have multiple macs with Mountain Lion and/or devices with iOS 6 (once it comes out this fall) you can pick up where you left off. For example, let's say I have apple.com, nytimes.com, and facebook.com open on my mac, but I need to run. Later, if I need to use another computer in my household, I can just restore the tabs that I was using before on this other mac.

I can't print Multiple pages in FF6 – clipping off content after page 1. I have thrown out firefox completely off my imac and re-installed... still does not print correctly. How do I fix this?

After upgrading last week, i can no longer print multiple page print outs off of any website, without the secondary pages clipping off content. Page 1 prints fine... the remaining pages do not.

If you are wondering why you are not getting any responses, it is because you have vented a complaint without any details that make any sense or give anyone something to work on.
If you want help, I suggest actually detailing what has happened, with versions of software etc. Anything that would let us assist.
As a start I am guessing that you have not really got the hang of "How it all works". Firstly download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu. Read that and view the Video Tutorials in the same place. A good addition would be the iWork 09 Missing manual book and something to help you learn how to use your Mac.

How can you copy information from Safari into Pages

Is there a way to easily copy data, such as financial tables from Safari into Pages and maintain the integrity of the table and the data within it? When I copy and paste it comes out all misaligned and into multiple pages. The same thing happens if I try to highlight the table in Safari and drag it into Pages. Is there not a "paste special" function in Pages like there is in Microsoft??

Firefox will NOT load multiple pages at once, Help!

I cannot get Firefox to load multiple pages at once. If I try this, they will continue to show the "load"/"refresh" symbol forever and ever (at least half an hour by the time I got fed up). I can load one page at a time but even then it takes quite a long time for the page to fully load - god forbid the page has images on it because then it might take up to 10 minutes to fully load.
Sometimes if I try to load multiple pages and then "x" out of them and try to do it one by one, it simply refuses to load ANY of the pages.
I can load multiple pages at one time in IE on my computer, I can load single pages in IE without delay. I can do the same thing in Safari on a desktop mac in the house. So NO, it is NOT my internet connection, thanks.
For God's sake, I'm sending this complaint/question in IE because I KNOW it won't send in firefox. How messed up is that?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Enabling 'An Email Message' hyperlink opening multiple pages?

Hi All ---
I'm trying to enable 'An Email Message' hyperlink for a png on one of my pages. I've tried appliying this to a few different things - jpegs or text - but when clicked the link opens up multiple pages in an outside browser (Safari /Firefox) until it crashes.

Multiple pages refreshing to common page

I've been noticing an issue regarding Safari web browser on the iPhone.
I have my main page set to appleopolis.com, From there, I click on a link and it opens a new browser page to say, Google search (or any page for that matter). If I click refresh on the second browser page, all the pages (pages 1 and 2) refresh to whatever URL I refreshed. This happens to all pages, regardless of whether I have 2, 3, or more pages open nor does it matter which page I refresh.
Also, I don't have to have the second page opened as a "popup" for this to occur. For Example...
Page 1 is set to Google.com
Page 2 is set to NYTimes.com
Page 3 is set to CNN.com
...all three pages were opened individually by clicking the icon on the bottom right corner of the screen. If I were to refresh Page 2, then Page 1, 2 and 3 refresh to NYTimes.com If I refresh Page 3, then Page 1, 2, 3 refresh to Page 3.
Anyone else have this issue? Any idea why?

Turning off pop-up blocking half-resolves my issue. If I open multiple pages individually and refresh a page, all the pages no longer refresh to a common page.
However, in the example where I open a new page through a link from appleopolis, I still have all pages refreshing to a common page. Appleopolis seems to open web-links through a pop-up or new window script. When I click on the link, the address bar for the appleopolis page changes url's but doesn't load unless I hit reload on any of the other pages.
