Safari not showing some of the fonts

Safari is not showing the fonts on a lot of websites, and it is safari because i opened the same page on chrome and they are showing up on chrome.

That's the LastResort font showing where the intended fonts should be. Usually, this is caused by bad font cache data.
Close all running applications. From an administrator account, open the Terminal app and enter the following command (or copy/paste it from here):
sudo atsutil databases -remove
This removes all font cache files maintained by OS X. Both for the system and the active user account. After running the command, close Terminal and immediately restart your Mac.

Two things often contribute to this.
One is that some songs might be tagged as Part Of A Compilation (see the Get Info on those songs/albums) in which case they will not show up under the artist.
Second, is that an artist needs at least two different Albums identified for their songs to all list under the artist. In other words, if you import a CD with album name then add a handful of misc songs without album names associated, those handful will not show up under the artist name.
But add an album name to at least one of those handful of misc. songs and then ALL of the songs should show up under the artist.
You don't have to do it for all of them, just enough to have two different albums identified with the artist. But in general, it is a good idea to make sure your tunes have Song name, artist name, and album name associated with them as a minimum.

Imovie 9.0.9 will not show some of the still photos in project

when working on a imovie 9.0.9 project, some of my still photos from iphoto are not showing up in the project. I can drag the photo over and it appears in the project window but when I play the project some photos do not appear.

I have the same probelm with OSX 10.8.5 and the latest iMovie 9.0.9. iMovie will see most of the pics in the window but, infuriatingly, not some of the others - taken by the same camera on the day day!
The ones it can see, I can drag to the project window - get the green line, add or insert as appropriate and some will show when I play the new segment, and some won't. Some show in the project time line, but don't show up in the viewer when the line passes over them.
I have tried finalising, closing and opening both iMovie and iPhoto, deleting the pics in iPhoto and re importing them. I have been working on this for almost TWO DAYS and it's infuriating because nothing seems to be effective in fixing it, and there is no predicting as to which pics will "stick" and which one's won't.

When I go to the same page using any other browser, camino, firefox etc it shows up as text. There is no image there and I don't know why safari is looking for an image??

PB G4 with 10.4.5 - Safari only shows some images and system won't update..

I really hope you can help me with some good ideas on how to fix this problem.
A PowerBook G4 running 10.4.5.
Suddely Safari stopped showing some of the images on webpages (only white instead). I deleted the Safari preferences, did a reset to default of Safari and even created a new user to test Safari - same result.
As the machine is running 10.4.5 I startede Software update to update to 10.4.6 as I was hoping this could take care of the strange problem. When trying to update the Software update gets halv way in the status bare and just hangs in the same spot.
I then downloaded the 10.4.6 combo updater from Apple.com. When I start the update program I get to the screen where I have to choose a disk to install onto - the only problem is that there are no disk icons !
I have tried doing a fsck -yf on the disk and I have also fixed the permissions - still I get the same result when trying to run the combo updater.
Please help - any good suggestions to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated !

Give this a try:
Boot from your Tiger DVD. After the installer loads select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your OS X volume from the list on the left, click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now shutdown the computer for a couple of minutes and then restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (3.0.3 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.1.1 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

How to say NSFontPanel to not show some fonts

I need that my application (osx 10.6.8+) not shows some fonts. I have tried to assign subclass of NSFontManager and NSFontPanel from setFontManagerFactory:/setFontPanelFactory: and override availibleFonts methods but nothing happens. Seems that it's bug in OSX.

You could have a VI set as a dialog for the message box. Store the value of the checkbox in an INI file before the dialog closes. Before showing the dialog read the value from the INI file.

Why some photos do not show up in the widgets after final export?

Why do I have a problem with the FeatureD News Widget not showing all my photos? I have tried redoing it many times over in different formats and all but one photo never shows up in the final export. Please I need help to finish up the website.

If I understand this correctly, you are reporting that you have images in your Featured News' target frames and some of those photos do not show up in the published site.
If so, I would like you to confirm if the widget works fine in Preview within Muse? Are the images missing in all browsers, even after clearing the browser cache? Can you provide a link to a published site? If required I may also request your source Muse file to investigate further.

Some of my pictures do not show up in the organizer. The folders are all there but no thumbnails appear in the organizer. If I do a search for them they are shown but I cannot find them in the organizer.

This is a small...."Bug" I guess you could call it, in the ipods software where if you have songs by one artist and none of them have a album listed with them, they do not show up under "Artist".
I forgot the exact workaround, but I think its something like if you give one song by the artist a album name (By rightclicking it in iTUnes, hitting get info and selecting the info tab) all the rest of the songs will now appear under artist on the ipod

I've seen the opposite issue. My wife recieved an email with jpg attachments. She couldn't see or print them on her iPhone 4S but they showed up fine in iCloud or in the mail app. I had her forward the email to herself and then they showed up. I assume there is an issue with how Apple is processing the attachments and resending causes them to get reformatted in a way that makes them easier to handle.
So yeah. Seems like some bugs. Hope Apple fixes them soon.

Scroll down past the regular books and there will be where you sync your audiobooks.
Then they will show up on the music app under "other"

After downloading album covers (some not found) itunes does not show most of the covers.

After downloading album covers into iTunes iTunes does not show most of the covers. It showas blank white boxes except for those where "cover not found" (music notes).
You have any idea how this happens, perhaps with location of the files.

iTunes refuses to play/read file, it cannot recognizes headers, or recognizes those as corrupt, but giving no error messages. The problem is the stored artwork(s) on your music files. To correct this, select the files that are corrupted/cannot be played on iTunes&iPod, click "Convert ID3 Tags...", then select v1.1 from the dropdown box (first, try this on a few to see that my solution is working).
By doing so, iTunes replaces headers, but your ID3 tags will not be changed (I assume you are using ID3 v2.4), nor you'll lose any info or anything else. This works as a hotfix for those files. If you try to replace headers via another program, your information will be truncated, and any artwork stored will be deleted. So I recommend this one.
You'll see that iTunes cannot play most of the files that has artwork(s) stored in them. New version hasn't fixed this problem, and it has risen with iTunes 8.2.x. If it's going to take long, I suggest you should go back to 8.1.x.

Safari Wont show up under the Browsers Setting

Safari will not show up under the browsers tab. I tried Reinstalling Safari and it did not work, I also tried to Install iCloud over the fresh install and that didnt work either. What can I do to fix this. I need my reading list.

You should check that the songs have album name info in their ID tags.
