Safari on iPad air crashing

Hi guys
Just got the air yesterday, safari keeps crashing every time I hit the + button to add a tab! Any ideas?

Apple troubleshot and fixed my problem with Safari " Alright, let’s try go to Settings > iCloud and turn off Safari. Then when asked, select Delete from My iPhone. Clear history and website data. Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website data. Launch Safari and test."
if there are problems with apps un install the app and re install it also fixed slow responding Pages app

IOS8 Safari on iPad Air crashing when typing in the search bar

Downloaded and installed iOS8 on my iPad Air and iPhone 5c. On my iPad Air, Safari is crashing nearly every time I type something in the search bar. It isn't doing it on my iPhone 5c. iPad Air is brand new (previous one had the cellular function die, so just traded it for a new Air).
I'm also having problems with WiFi staying connected. Half of the time it drops, I have to retype the password again for the router.
Now if I could only get AT&T to ship my 6+ sometime this century....

I had this exact issue too as soon as I typed anything it crashed to home screen.
I resolved it by going to Settings - Safari - Clear History and Web Data.

Week and a half old iPad Air crashes with light usage of youtube, netflix and safari pages with video links to youtube and vine. The consistency of problems with videos has led me to determine that it must be bugs with iPad Air. Anyone else having this problem?
Details: iPad Air 16gb wifi, have only used about 25% of space and always close all apps before opening another. I also have only had a max of two tabs open on safari of basic internet surfing (i.e. A google search page, or imdb for example). These crashes are annoying as sh......

I can well imagine that they are.
I would backup, restore to factory settings, restore from the backup and then try again. If that fails, restore again but do not use the backup - restore as new. If the iPad functions OK as new, then slowly rebuild the iPad adding your apps, music etc, methodically to see if you can pin down what might be causing the problem.
if all of that fails, it's time to schedule an appointment at an Apple a Store (must be done online) and have them take a look, or of it is lees than two weeks old, just return it for a refund and buy another one.

My iPad Air crashes alot which is only a problem when filling in forms or working on it , my dads iPhone 6 does the same thing. Are apple products no good any more or is there a way to fix it?! I've tried google chrome and opera and they crash n lose the work too. Basically useless as a work tool

I just cancelled my Iphone 6 order (it wasn't getting here anytime soon anyway) because it is using IOS 8. I wouldn't go near that operating system if you begged me. I used to love Apple products. You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

For those still wondering how to install ios 6.1 on 5th gen iPod, you need to download it off of apples official website and then shift click restore from backup and choose the downloaded ios 6.1
apples one year warrant covers any hardware problems like these right?

IPad Air crashes with low memory error in Google Translate Web Site

My new iPad Air crashes with low memory error every time I try to use my Phrasebook in Google Translate Web site. This is rather disapointing considering that my old Nexus 10, that iPad Air is supposed to replace, works flawlessly in Google Translate Web site. Perhaps this has to do with the rather limited RAM (1GB) that iPad Air is equippoed with.

Messages app crashes... safari occasionally - iPad Air

Purchased since day one and since the second update my iPad Air keeps crashing when I use the messages app for iMessages. Even when I try to delete messages it acts unstable. What boggles me is that my safari is ok and I don't see anyone else having the Messages app problem on here.
I know nothing about code and such and only the very basic. Any suggestions? I've rebooted, re-installed (new), closed apps, etc. etc....

If I understand correctly your Messages and Settings apps are becoming unresponsive when you have iMessage enabled, and you keep needing to restart and/or reset your iPad. I would quit both of the apps first:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

IPad air crashes

I have a iPad air 16gb in space grey I've had a few crash problems on certain applications such as safari and also when I press the home button it will at times crash , when I look back at the logs it reports back to Apple it stats low memory to why it's crashed. Has any one else had a similar problem with there iPad air??? I thought this issue was solved after the first gen iPad came out but it seem to have not been resolved. Can one help on my question .

If your device reports low memory, check Settings > General > Usage and see what is occupying lots of space and try to remedy the issue.

IPad Air crashes when on Craigslist on Chrome?

It's weird but my iPad Air 64 GB will respring (I think this is what it's called) when I'm trying to search craigslist.org using the Google Chrome app. Both the OS and Chrome are using the most recent updates. It's a refurbished one which I have had for about a week after they couldn't repair my 6 month old Air (that's a whole different issue) and it just started doing it today.
Google Chrome crashes a lot, but that's just a buggy app. When I'm in Chrome and I try to enter anything in the search box, my iPad flashes on the black Apple logo screen, and then back to the lock screen (not the lock screen you see after a reboot, the regular one). When I unlock it, Chrome has crashed, but other apps are still open.
Maybe unrelated, but I'm also having an issue typing into the text boxes on this forum using the on-screen keyboard. It won't happen at all using Chrome (a cursor won't appear and no type appears in the box), and the auto capitalization is really random, and the cursor jumps all over when trying to select text.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

well ipad still does not work. iPhone, android, PC work fine. had this pad for months. Used Craigslist everyday never a problem. Then one day using gallery mode re springs or whatever you call it. Shuts down chrome or Safari. Using mobile instead of desktop is not a sure fix either as stated on the Craigslist forms. It works until you scroll pictures or go to the next page. Really wish they would fix this.

Safari on iPad Air 2 flashes random pages from history

iPad Air 2 64GB WiFi running 8.1.3
When I open Safari, a random page from my history (usually from days or weeks ago) flashes on the screen for 1/2 second and then shows the current webpage.
I've cleared History and Website Data in Settings>Safari. Still does it. Safari even flashes pages that should have been cleared In that process!
I then restored the iPad as a new device through iTunes. Still does it.
I've had the iPad since November. It never did this until January. Hopefully the next iOS update will take care of it. Very annoying.

Forgot to mention- this happens upon launching Safrari from either a "quit" state or "background" state.
