It also occured in my web site
To reproduce the problem on jimdo website:
- go to www.jimdo.com
- pick a name and email address and press on 'create my first site' -> then you login into the website.
- logout and login again
- press on F12/F11 on macbook kicks out the session from the website.
So I ask, ***? what apple or website developers did wrong????

I don't have the same version of OS X here but try System Preferences>Keyboard. Is there an option similar to "Use the F1, etc, keys as standard function keys"?
If so, and it has a checkmark, uncheck it & see if that does the trick.

  • Safari history incomplete.. drops out some entries

    Hi,
My safari keeps dropping out some entries in the history - any reason why this might be? For example one day all entries for that day are there and the only half the next day?
    Thanks

    HI,
Quit the Safari app if it's open.
Click the Settings icon on your iPhone, then click Safari. (may have to scroll down)
In the next window click: Clear History
Reopen Safari and see if that helps.

  • Re-install Lion OSX with out SL.

If for any reason I need to re-install Lion OSX, would I need to install Snow Leapord first and then upgrade to Lion?

You mean a USB installer you made/setup yourself, like, for example, this way http://lifehacker.com/5823096/how-to-burn-your-own-lion-install-dvd-or-flash-dri ve ?
If so, then nope, you could re-install directly to your current Lion drive.
You could also get yourself an external hard drive and use the free CarbonCopyCloner software, or the shareware SuperDuper to make a clone of your current system.  Then just boot from the external cloned drive, and you can then reclone your system back to your internal drive.
The two best methods are to keep a TimeMachine backup to an external drive.  You could restore the whole system from that from the Lion recovery partition if need be.  A bootable cloned drive with CCC or SuperDuper has the advantage it is wholly independent of your current set up.  A cloned drive is an exact mirror of your entire current system, is itself a bootable device (plug it in, restart holding the option key, then select the clone drive to boot from) and can be re-cloned back to your internal drive to make it exactly as it was.

  • Getting kicked out of apple remote when first editing dj playlist in iTunes

The first time each session that I go into iTunes dj via apple remote on my IPad, it boots me out of remote. When I go back in, all of my album art needs to reload, and it takes me a bunch of time to scroll through them to reload all album art.  It does not kick me out a second time I go inti dj that same day, but will do so the next day. What gives?  This is driving me crazy!

It was a while ago but I'm very certain I simply changed my email address. Anyway, I've now deleted the problem apps and backed up!
Thanks for your help and your time, it's much appreciated
    Kind Regards

  • Youtube identified my Safari 6.0 as IE6, and some websites even identified my OS as Window XP while I am using mountain lion. I wonder what is going on?

When I go to Youtube, it said "You are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 web browser. YouTube is ending support for Internet Explorer 7 soon, update your browser now", but I am using Safari 6.0 on OSX Mountain Lion. I wonder if there is any settings cause this identification error. thanks!

  • Safari shows completely blank pages for some websites

Since the latest upgrade to Safari - some pages just appear as completely white screen - www.avios.com for example.
This is not a problem with the sites as then function normally in other browsers I try.

I experienced the same problem yesterday, in addition to Safari being extremely slow to load pages. I was making an online purchase yesterday and the Checkout page kept coming up blank. Finally had to switch to Firefox and will continue to use Firefox until Apple fixes Safari.

  • Kicked Out of Response Group When Status is Away

    Lync 2010:
When switchboard staff enable the Response Group for Main-Line incoming calls and their Lync status changes to "Away," they do not receive the incoming calls.  Sometimes the switchboard staff are at their desks but not active on their
computers; so, how do we change the setting so that they receive incoming main-line calls no matter what their Lync status is?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Please check the Routing method in the Agent Group setting:
To offer a new call to each agent in turn, click Round robin.
To always offer a new call to the agents in the order in which they are listed in the Agent list, click Serial.
To offer a new call to all agents who are signed into Lync Server 2010 and the Response Group application at the same time, regardless of their current presence, click Attendant. Lync 2010 Attendant users who are configured as agents can see all the calls
that are waiting and answer waiting calls in any order. The call is sent to the first agent who accepts it, and the other Lync 2010 Attendant users no longer see the call.

  • Unable click on links on right of screen on some websites occassionally

Using Macbook Pro Google chrome have also tried Safari and same problem exists
On some website forums I am unable to click on links to acces the web page, to the right hand side of my screen without refreshing the screen a few times.
Links when shown to the left and middle of screen work correctly, ie the cursor changes to a hand without refreshing the screen, but those to the right hand side do not. It can not be my trackpad, as if I move the cursor to the left hand side of webpage  the cursor changes to the hand icon and the links show up,
If I then go to the links that originally would not show up on the right side of my screen, the  cursor then changes to the hand icon, enabling me to select them.
Could it be a fault with the website  ? Any ideas woyld be appreciated please.

Why does my Adobe Reader (10.1.3) freeze-up when I down load statements from some websites?
When I down load statements from some websites, the pdf freezes and I get a message that the website is not responding and that windows is checking for a solution for this problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times. I really like the Adobe Reader, but I need answers on why this is happening and how to fix it. AN AUTOMATIC UPDATE FROM 08/23/11 DOESN’T CUT IT!!

  • Getting kicked out of apps

I keep getting kicked out of my apps when using my IPad...any suggestions for a resolution?  Thank you.

HOw much empty space do you have on your device? If it's trying to download or buffer the video and there's not enough  local storage then it may kick up an error

why do the "SHOW THE PREVIOUS PAGE arrows not work on some websites such when I try yto return to a previous page the arrows at the top right of the page do not work instead they are light grey instead black and do nothing---this is frustrating to not be able to return to the page before--HELP

If a page you go to opens in a new tab, there is no 'back' to go to. If that is the case, just close the tab and you'll be at the page you came from.

  • I have mountain lion OSX and parallels with Windows.  Every time I click on a hyperlink in other applications it opens - some 7 Zip file explorer inside Parallels but doesn't go to Safari.  Does anyone know solution?

I have mountain lion OSX and parallels with Windows.  Every time I click on a hyperlink in other applications it opens - some 7 Zip file explorer inside Parallels but doesn't go to Safari.  Does anyone know solution?

I suggest that you run software update, after which you should have Safari 6.0.5 - then check Safari - Preferences - Privacy & see that 'Block cookies' is not set to Always.
Failing that - switch Safari extensions Off via Safari - Preferences - Extensions & test again

  • Safari 5.1 Win 7 constantly logging me out of websites, WebKit2WebProcess.exe crashes

Finally updated to 5.1 last night, Safari now contantly logs me out of various webistes (gmail, facebook, youtube, google, hotmail, kotaku, ign, gamespot, and practicvally every website that requires log in). Also, some websites (facebook and gmail) keep telling me I have my accept cookies setting tuned off, when it's set on "only from sites I visit", had to set it to "always" before I can log in.
Also, every now and then something called "WebKit2WebProcess.exe" crashes, but it doesn't seem to effect browsing in general. But both of this problems never happened with 5.05, so I thought switching back to 5.05 should solve this.
And it doesn't, switched back to 5.05, then to 5.04 and back to 5.05 again today, only the "WebKit2WebProcess.exe" crashes stopped. Logging out bug now also happens with older versions of Safari. I tried clearing caches, cookies, and resetting Safari, nothing works.
Maybe a separate software essential to Safari thats updated with the 5.1 update, is causing the bug; and reverting back to 5.05 and 5.04 doesn't revert this buggy software? Perhaps its a software that has something to do with cookies?
I HAD TO TYPE THIS POST TWICE, BECAUSE  BY THE TIME I FINISHED TYPING THE FIRST TIME AND CLICKED "POST MESSAGE", SAFARI HAD LOGGED ME OUT. WHEN I PRESSED "BACK", THE AUTOSAVE ONLY SAVED HALF OF THE FIRST PARAGRAPH!!! THIS BUG IS NOW DRIVING ME NUTS!!

Make sure after running Programs: Uninstall that those directories are cleared, you should not need to do so manually.
You do know your OS don't you?
And I repeat my recommendation to invest in free or commercial (and test it too) with "clone OS" of your choice for backups.
You're fine. Apple installed all that and can be uninstalled, and reinstalled.
But.... I was also this would allow you to reinstall, and install an older version. Otherwise the older version will not "downgrade" or touch a newer application support library, not usually, and not in fruitville.
I left iTunes - I said that in the post you are replying to.
I have not, and will not, bother with Safari again, ever. It looks nice, and easy to read which I like, but I spent too much time - they should tell customers or have a real public beta and have an extra million people kick the tires for a month or two first.
Safari also behaves different on the Community Forums in ways that IE9 and Firefox do not, but not enough to pull me over, which was my main reason, and that 5.1 was a major security update, as is the latest QuickTime version for Windows.
They should install and function better if you start from a clean slate (start from scratch), same as how things work and feel after a clean install - which is true of any platform or OS.

  • Safari Freezing Up (LION OSX)

After upgrading Lion OSX this morning, whenever I would go on Safari, it'd freeze on me unexpectedly. I've noticed whenever I have a lot of tabs open for different sites, it happens. Then my computer freezes. It's happened about, 3-6 times all together today. My way of trying to fix it was: Resetting Safari (checking all boxes), reset Cache, Clear history, restart safari / restart macbook pro, reset pram, and hold down the power button for 10 seconds. None of it helps, even ran Disk Utilitity, repair disk and permission etc. Still no use. Any other solutions guys? Anything would help. Everything else is running perfecto, just the safari situation.
Another thing, when i go to my menu above, Go > Home. I cannot see my library folder like before on SL. >_> Help?

Okay my situation is, i'll copy it and paste it from my other site:
I was experiencing freezing issue on my Macbook Pro upon upgrade of LION OSX on Wednesday. During my whole Wednesday; I experienced more than 7 times of freezing issues from Safari to iTunes. I dealt with it the whole day thinking maybe it's me but apparently it's not. So on Thursday, I called the 1800 apple store on the phone from this site. I spoke with a girl at first, I told her my situation. She told me what to do about using an extra hard drive to link it to my macbook pro with a usb. I did that what happened was, she hung up out of nowhere so I ended up calling back getting another girl. I told her what happened so she picked up where the previous girl was doing. Soon afterwards, basically my computer wouldn't even boot up to lion to do a clean install. Originally my goal was to do a clean install of lion osx to see if it would fix the freezing issue. Apparently the girls didn't know what they where telling me. When I finally got on a phone with a guy on the phone. He said sounds to me you should visit your local apple store. So I did, I visited it. I told the guy at the genius bar and he seemed really really angry with me for some reason. He turned it on and looked not even 1 minute and then said "Ok from this point on I'm going to just send your laptop to repair center, it's going to take 5 to 7 days". Gave me a paper to sign and just simply sent me off. He seemed impatient and not willing to help. I felt like "Now I can't have a laptop do my work on". So I called apple line again, the guy on the phone said "You should've been able to get a replacement right there and then even if your laptop is a eyar old. It sounds like it's not your fault". Today, I called my local apple store. Even the manager didn't help me. He said your laptop is send off to the repair center. It should be ready in 5 days or so". I'm thinking "okay this was useless" What am I supposed to do now? Wait? I feel like this is unfair...
