  • Can I load a specific camera/lens profile into LR and if so how?

Can I load a specific camera/lens profile into LR and if so how?

If the camera profile or lens profile is in a Lightroom compatible format (i.e. created by the DNG Profile Editor or Lens Profile Creator) then you can load the profile into LR by putting it into the following folder and restarting LR.
    Windows Vista or 7—C: \ Users \ [your username] \ AppData \ Roaming \ Adobe \ CameraRaw \ CameraProfiles \
    Mac—Macintosh HD / Users / [your username] / Library / Application Support / Adobe / CameraRaw / CameraProfiles /
For the lens profiles, substitute the LensProfiles folder for the CameraProfiles folder.

  • How can i load a specific CSS style sheet for Safari?

Okay, So I have some structure issues when viewing my website on Safari compared to Firefox. Is there a way to put a code in the <head> tag to load a specific CSS style sheet for Safari like you can do with IE?
    Thanks.

I took a screenshot of your page from Firefox (shown below).  I assume you're seeing the same problem in Safari.  If you increase text size one click, the keyboard image drops below the #contact division.
    1) Height is a restiction in all browsers except IE.  Avoid  using height values on containers with text in them.  If needed to show  a background image, use the min-height property.
    2)  Fix your code errors. Some browsers are very sensitive to errors.
    3)  Your #content lacks cohesion. You need 3 columns, each with a width in pixels.  Or simply use a 3-column table.

  • Safari will not load this specific url

I'm having a confounding problem loading a website my wife administrates in Safari only. When I enter the url it instantly redirects to apple.com. I can access the site from firefox on this computer as well as from safari on other computers.
I've reset Safari, I've trashed its preference files in Library, I've deleted Safari and reinstalled, I've fixed permissions, I've done system updates, I've restarted and I've created another user account and still experience the same problem.
I'm absolutely confounded and boggled. The account is an admin account and I have nothing that blocks that specific site such as parental controls etc.
I'm thinking I need some specific terminal command or something.
    Help!
Not that the actual url matters but it is http://www.boutiquecafe.com

I also found a suggestion in this thread:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1159143&tstart=30
That basically involves going into System Preferences->Network Pane. Click on Proxies tab and edit that list. Alas it did not work for my quandry but hopefully it aids someonelse. The thread deserves a read.

  • Cannot create sony account with safari so I can install sony camera specific apps

It is impossible to get into the sony website to create an account so that I can get sony camera apps, which are required to use the sony camera correctly. Basically Safari is hanging up when I click create account on the sony site. My brother does not use Apple and his browser works fine for this, so this is a Apple/safari problem. I have found very little info regarding this problem anywhere.
Is there an Apple expert here who could look at this?
    Me: macbook pro, safari 6.2
Website problem page is :https://www.playmemoriescameraapps.com/portal/usbdetail.php?eid=IS9104-NPIA09014 _00-000003
Although all sony entertainment network login pages do the same thing
Please if your a Apple goo roo look at this and let me know something
    Thanks

Hmmm, so since I'm using 6.2 then maybe that is the problem? I can surf all of sony's other pages etc, but when I try to create account it just freezes up, I was trying not to install the other browsers and was confused why it would not work with my current safari 6.2. I have not upgraded my OS yet, so are you thinking this is related to that?

  • How  can you load local server urls on application start?

    Background:
I've been searching for close to two days for an answer to this question, it's full of gotchas and I can't quite get it figured out.
I have an application which contains several web services. These services load up listeners when the services are invoked which makes them available for input. The user has the option of disabling automatic load of these services and invoking them manually by typing in the local url and starting the app. The can allow the autoload which uses a the or allowing the auto load to start. Currently the local url is hardcoded in a property file and this is how the services knows the local endpoint to envoke when it autostarts.
    <servlet id="AutoStart_01">
    <servlet-name>autoStart</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>com.loadmy.StartupClass.Here</servlet-class>
    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
This works all fine and well until it's deployed onto a machine that runs a local weblogic cluster that has more than one jvm (and multiple ports) loading the application up.
    Problem
The question is, how can you get the applicaton to recoginize the local url for the jvm that is running which can be on different ports? Here's what I've tried
A - Using Inet.Address - This doesn't let you know what port your application is on
B - Using the load servlet on start up ( Only the init() function is called and the request object hasn't been created and the request object is what contains ther protocol, server and port information)
C - Loading a jsp page (READ... purposefully loading a jsp page) on application start. The thought here is that this contains a request object, but unfortunately on this doesn't work in my servlet container (currently tomcat 6 but the application is for a web logic machine)
D - I thought about possibly using System.properties() but no luck there
I'm at witts end on this one and I know there is something that can recoginze the local servlet container and extract the url and port from it.
    Any suggestions would be great.

  • Can not get a specific website to load in either Safari or Firefox?

Can not get a specific website to load in either Safari or Firefox on my MacBook Pro.  Website loads on other devices such as iPhone, PC, etc.  I've tried emptying the Cache in Safari.  Any other suggestions?

The problem I am having is that this website will not load on my MacBook Pro.  I don't know if it has something to do with the fact that the website was created on this computer using iWeb and then I had to change to a different webhost on July 1st (Dreamhost) when Apple discontinued Mobile Me / Webhosting as of July 1st.  That is when I was no longer able to load the site on this one computer.
I get this message with Safari:
Safari can’t open the page “http://www.challengefitnesscrossfit.com/” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding.
    and this message from Firefox:
    The connection has timed out
The server at www.challengefitnesscrossfit.com is taking too long to respond.

  • Can't load any email in the last 60 min

Can't load any icloud email in the last 60 min any one in Michigan hving the same problem?

Interesting. This is the first time I've seen the Mail icon change on the iCloud.com homepage. It has the universal notice or warning icon. Obviously, I'm signed in but cannot use any of the iCloud services.
I've done everything that one normally does to troubleshoot such issues: cleared cache, deleted all stored Safari website data, cleared history, closed and restarted Safari, even rebooted my iMac and iPhone after clearing and resetting all appropriate items. Also, I tried repairing disk permissions on my iMac as an outlier. Finally, I rebooted my DSL modem and Time Capsule just in case. But, as we are not having Internet connectivity or wireless issues, that was a long shot.
And yes, my system is up to date with the latest software updates. I always keep it updated. My next step is to schedule a call with Apple support as I've already gone through all the likely troubleshooting tips. Searching the Apple support website for Apple documents led me to this http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4002?viewlocale=en_US, but these are the steps I already know to do and they did not work.

  • IMac isn't loading a specific website (can't connect to that server), regardless of browser, though the same website will load on other computers on same network. Is it an issue with the iMac's settings?

Our iMac isn't loading a specific website (we get a message saying it can't connect to that specific server), regardless of browser (I've tried it in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox). However, the same website, which is for a major medical provider, loads without any issue on our other computers on the same wireless network. Is it an issue with the iMac's settings? All other websites seem to be loading without issue on the iMac.

... Is it an issue with the iMac's settings?
Possibly. Make sure you are not using a proxy server. Look in Safari Preferences > Advanced > Proxies > "Change Settings..." This will take you to the applicable Network Preferences. Make sure that nothing is selected in the "select a protocol to configure" list. It should look like this:
    Still not working?
Locate your Terminal app. It is in your Utilities folder. Open Terminal.
In Terminal, copy (triple-click) and paste the following line:
osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to get name of every login item'
This will produce a list of all your account login items.
While you are in Terminal, copy (triple-click) and paste the following line:
    kextstat -kl | awk '!/com\.apple/{printf "%s %s\n", $6, $7}'
This will produce a list of all non-Apple kernel extensions. There will be few, if any.
Post the results of the above.

Check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, relaunch Safari.
If it's not Extensions, check for third party Safari add ons.

  • Can't load pages in Safari 5.1 (Windows 7)

I received an auto notice to upgrade to Safari to Version 5.1 on my Dell E1505 Laptop running Windows 7.  After upgrading with the Apple Software Update tool, Safari has quit working.  It will not load any page and just hangs.  I used the windows control panel to first "repair" Safari, no change.  I uninstalled it and downloaded a fresh version from the Apple Website, no change.  I removed version 5 and downloaded version 4.03.  It now reports that it can't load the page because the website isn't responding.  Internet Explorer works as advertised.  I've reset Safari, repaired, removed, etc.  Any ideas?  Please don't make me go back to IE......
The PC is a Dell Inspiron E1505 Laptop with 2 GB Memory running Windows 7 with SP1.
