Safari opening websites only after an error message

I am using Safari 4.03(5531.9) and since the last update the websites only open after several attempts of reloading.
What can I do?

In particular, Empty the Cache, and Reset Safari.

I have a similar problem - just posted this today, 5th July 2014. I get a message that says windows cannot find c:\programme files(x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd 32.exe.  Tried several uninstall/reinstalls with special programmes to check that uninstall was complete. Oddly, a download trial of the full programme Adobe Pro works OK !  If an expert out there can sort this it would be much appreciated.

  • Why won't Safari open after an error message?

After an error message Safari shut down and won't reopen.  All other applications (mail, iphoto, address book, etc) work normally but Safari gets about halfway through the home url and then quits.

    1. Reset Safari.
Click Safari in the menu bar.
From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
Uncheck the box next to  " Remove saved names and passwords".
        Click "Reset".
    2.  Empty Caches
        Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
"Develop" menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
    3. Turn off Extensions, if any.
        Safari > Preferences > Extensions

  • Photoshop suddenly does not print to Epson 3880 - PROBLEM: Cannot print from Photoshop  After restart error message appears:  - "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopen

    PROBLEM: Cannot print from Photoshop
    After restart error message appears:
    — “There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents.”
    • All print commands are greyed out and unavailable — even to call up the printer commands cannot be done.
The printer printed fine until about 2 weeks ago when this error message appeared.  Printing continues from Pages, I-photo, preview etc. —  only Photoshop fails.
The printer has been turned on and off, as have open documents been closed and open etc..   Preferences reset.  Repeatedly I have read through blogs and forums and attempted to contact Adobe — all without results
Epson support struggled to find reason and several solutions were tried and they assume this is an Adobe problem.
    Running Mac Powerbook X 10.10.2 / Photoshop CS6 13.0.6.x64
Attempting unsuccessfully to print to Epson 3880
What Adobe support will be of help.

Probably best to ask in Photoshop General Discussion
This forum is about the Cloud as a delivery process, not about using individual programs
If you start at the Forums Index https://forums.adobe.com/welcome
You will be able to select a forum for the specific Adobe product(s) you use
Click the "down arrow" symbol on the right (where it says All communities) to open the drop down list and scroll

  • I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox several times. Every time I try to open Firefox I get an error message saying "Close Firefox"," A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time."

I uninstall Firefox, then reinstall Firefox, try to open Firefox, and get an error message in a popup box saying,
    "Close Firefox"
"A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time."

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

After updating my MacBook Pro to yeosemite I want my old desktop picture back. I did a full back up before the install. I found the "Settings" folder in Time machine but when I try to open it I get an error message saying "You can not open this folder. It is in TimeMachine".

Can you browse the Time Machine drive from Finder?
If you can and you know where the picture was stored ie on your desktop you can browse through the folder structure to the picture copy it and paste it somewhere on your new install before right clicking it and 'set as desktop background'

  • Using time warner road runner. when I try to open up safari to home page I get error message that this version does not support the "community toolbar" can't proceed until closing the error message. sick of seeing it

using time warner road runner. when I try to open up safari to home page I get error message that this version does not support the "community toolbar" can't proceed until closing the error message. sick of seeing it

That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
Close Safari, then locate and delete the following files and it should be gone:
    /Library/Application Support/Conduit
    /Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
    /Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
    /Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
    /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle
    /Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/Conduit
where / is the root library on your Hard Disk.
If you are running Snow Leopard you should also look here:
    Library/launchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
    Library/Application support/conduit plugins
    Also, as mentioned by Gilli2000:
Library/Receipts - If you read it, it has information in it at the bottom referring extensively to "CT" and "community toolbar".
Maybe it is harmless, but trash those items anyway!
Note: Safari does not support any third-party toolbars except those supplied as an extension to Safari via the Extension Gallery.

Hi everyone, I have Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I have been very very frustrated by this problem. [I could not create new windows, and anything that opens new windows, such as trying to see what Add-ons you have etc would not work]. I read about changing screen alignment to the top... I have one screen so the option does not exist. The above messages would not fix this problem. I searched hard and did find a solution in the end. I read stuff about removing Add-ons until the problem is fixed, but its simply not the case.
First of all open Firefox. next go to options: Help --- 'Restart with Add-ons disabled'. Tick the box for add-ons, restart firefox. Next go to Tools --- Add-ons. Next (In the Add-ons Manager' click on 'Plugins' on the left hand side pane. Look for the small blue writing that says 'Check to see if your plugins are up to date'.
Now notice it should say 'Missing Flash'. "For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Flash. Please upgrade to the latest version". I followed this, reinstalled Flash and it now works as it always did, no problems. For people where the above fix didn't work, try this one out. Hope it helps people!
    :o)

after migration to a new macbook i cannot open photoshop. I get error message "you can't open this application "adobe photoshop cs" because powerpc applications are no longer supported"

You cannot run Photoshop CS on a new Intel-based Mac running OS X Mavericks. CS is far too old.
You'll have to buy Photoshop CS6 or Photoshop Elements 12. Or subscribe to CC.

  • Can't open/create documents or mount objects (I only get an error message)

I start with excusing my English, I'm from Sweden...
When I have been working in Photoshop for a while I suddenly can't open or create documents, I only get an error message in Swedish meaning: Cannot fulfil your request due to a program error. Same phrase appears when trying to mount an object, linked or embedded doesn't matter.
When using Cmd+O I get this:
My CC is up to date, what has happened and how can I fix it?

That is a well know bug in MacOS 10.10, that Apple is aware of and working to solve.
Basically the Open dialog on MacOS 10.10 has problems that can throw odd error messages back into the host application.  Sometimes it throws a string (like the NSArray error), sometimes it throws just an unknown exception (which Photoshop displays as "program error").
Some people have had luck avoiding the problem by changing the view in the OS open/save dialog to something else (icons, list, etc.).
Opening files by double clicking or dragging to the Photoshop icon works and avoids the OS issues in the open/save dialogs.

After updated to iTunes 11.1.4 for windows vista , I was unable to open iTunes and it keep error message. My iphone unable to USB hotspot the internet to computer. Pls Help

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

When I open iTunes I get an error message "MSVCR80.DLL missing".  I downloaded this .dll and installed in C:\Windows|System32.  I then scanned my computer to fix registry errors.I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled and got the following error message "Apple Mobile Device failed to start".

  • When trying to open itoons I get an error message: Program C\program files (x86) R6034  An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.

when trying to open itoons I get an error message: Program C\program files (x86) R6034  An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more infomation.

    Hello Michwilltwo,
It sounds like you are unble to open iTunes after a recent update. I would recommend the troubleshooting steps from the article named:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
"Runtime Error: R6034 - An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly"
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
    Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
Be sure to follow the instructions as outlined by the links in the article as there is a specific order in which to uninstall iTunes and its associated programs.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling
