Hi,
Safari opens tabs that or not in the bookmark list. Emptied cache, deleted history and cleared all bookmarks. The tabs (about 30) open up gain when I restart.

Try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file.
Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop.
Try Safari.

I struggle to believe that I am the only person experiencing this problem.
I just hope somebody has the decency to spend a couple of minutes replying with a resolution.

If I want to visit one of my bookmarks I use the bookmark icon at the top right of the page.
If I long press on the icons they do not wobble / delete

I dislike them so much I am beginning to think that I will have to stop using safari,
and use a different search engine.....but I shouldn't have to.If you don't want to see these bookmarks when you open a new tab and you don't want to delete them you'll need to move them. Now as you probably know there isn't really a move function for Bookmarks in iPad, so what I'd recommend is Tap Bookmarks>Favourites tap one of the bookmarks in this folder and when it loads up save it to another location on your iPad - repeat for all bookmarks in this folder, once done tap Bookmarks>Favourites select EDIT and delete all bookmarks in the favourites folder.
You need to bear in mind that FAVOURITES is simply a folder storage area for Bookmarks so any bookmarks you delete from this folder won't be available under Bookmarks unless you follow the process outlined above.

Wi-fi certificate needed that is not on the preloaded list
Just got my BB 8900, hoping for a solution to not being able to get a signal at my place of employement. I thought there was a light at the end of the tunnel with UMA calling. But when I tried to set up the wifi on the phone at work, the wireless network here requires a security certificate or at least the phone does. Problem is the certificate needed is not on the list that is in the phone. The IT dept. sent the certficate to me via email as an attachement, but when I tried to save it on the phone, it doesn't work.
I am hoping that someone can help! If not, the phone is going back and I'm cancelling my service with T-mobile.

When you say "it doesn't work", what, exactly, does that mean? Did it install but just did not solve the issue? Would it not install? Is it of the proper format (per the KB above)? Some clarity about that might be helpful.
Plus, after you install the cert, it would probably be a good idea to perform a hard reboot of the BB:
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

For example:
I have 3 tabs open.
I have tab 1 selected, I switch to tab 3 and proceed to type (Log in details for example)
When typing it out, the information I enter types out on tab 1, rather than 3, sometimes I don't check and press enter (Causing it to enter on tab 1, which could cause me to show my password on another site)
I have to switch between tabs like 3-4 times in order to sort the priority out.Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Printers that are not on the compatible list
i have read the forums regarding printopia and using your i-phone to print by going through your mac. everything that i have read so far show that you have to have your mac/pc on in order to print from your i-phone. is that the ONLY way to print on your wireless network from your i-phone. I have the kodak pic flick app but that only allows me to print pictures but not emails or web pages.
Search the app store. I have Print Magic, which lets me print anything that I can copy and paste into it, or photos, or pdfs/files that are in the app's shared iTunes directory. There are other apps that might work for you as well. I use Print Magic to print directly over wifi to my wifi printers at home - an old HP Deskjet 6988dt and a Kodas EXP 7250 (at least, I think that's the model).

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.

Lots of strange things happening after installing 7.0.2. Mail and Safari routinely quit on me. Keyboard appears for no reason and doesn't go away. After syncing to iTunes on my MacBook Pro one of the bookmark tabs got emptied out. Is there no one cracking the whip anymore at Apple?
Using iCloud to sync bookmarks between your Mac and iPad?
If so, on the iPad tap Settings > iCloud. Swich Safari off then back on.
On your Mac, open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Safari then reselect it.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync your bookmarks.
If you are using iCloud, don't sync Safari bookmarks on iTunes. That could be why the bookmark tabs got emptied out. -
I am trying to stream via ESPNWatch but I get a message saying I have a popup blocker that does not allow the streaming to happen. I unchecked the pop up blocker box in the Safari preferences to no avail. Any ideas?
Might be a Safari extension...
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab.
If there are any extensions installed, turn that OFF, then quit and relaunch Safari to test. -
I have Windows 7 Professional and I used to be able to move the curser over the Firefox Icon in the taskbar and it would show me a telescoped view of all open tabs, now it just shows the tab that I'm currently viewing. How do I fix this?

Do you have the option checked for ''Show Tab Previews in the Windows Taskbar''? If not, just go to ''tools->options->tabs.'' You can find more information on what each of these settings do in the Knowledge Base article [[Options window - Tabs panel]].

I can not get the bookmarks tab to open
I just installed firefox on my new laptop. I can not get the bookmarks tab to open. I also can not get the right mouse button to open the copy, print, etc menu.
Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.

If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.
If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.

How do I update the browser on the MacBookPro? I would like to get newer version of Safari; however, if that is not possible, is there a version of anything that I can get for MAC OS 10.5.8?

The "Pin as app tab" produces tabs that do not persist across sessions. I have this problem on two installations (PC and laptop, both running Win7), and it's really annoying (since the Permatab Mod no longer works in Ff4). Can you offer any assistance?

Uninstall "BitDefender" completely, not just the Safari extension.
Any third-party software that doesn't install by drag-and-drop into the Applications folder, and uninstall by drag-and-drop to the Trash, is a system modification.
Whenever you remove system modifications, they must be removed completely, and the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the developers, or to follow their instructions. If the software has been incompletely removed, you may have to re-download or even reinstall it in order to finish the job.
I never install system modifications myself, and I don't know how to uninstall them. You'll have to do your own research to find that information.
Here are some general guidelines to get you started. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickMyMac” (a hypothetical example.) First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickmymac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the Web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, contact the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickMyMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickMyMac.” If not, open “BrickMyMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button.
Back up all data before making any changes.
You will generally have to reboot in order to complete an uninstallation. Until you do that, the uninstallation may have no effect, or unpredictable effects.
If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase and install OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
WARNING: Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" such as "AppCleaner" and the like that purport to remove software. -
I have had adobe creative suit 6 design standard for 2 years and all of the sudden it would not open. I do not have the windows disc anymore however i still have the product code, number and serial number. is there anyway to get my photoshop back?

Cannot send email. When I click Write the window does not open properly. Does not have the "send, spelling, attach, security, save line there. Then when I click File, then Send now it will not send. A message comes up saying my SMTP server failed. Have check and everything appears to be o.k.

Open Acrobat. Use the click-path Edit - Preferences - select the Category "Email Accounts". In the dialog there is the "Add Account" drop-down. Select "Add Other". The "Add Webmail Account" dialog presents. You'll fill out the dialog's fields with Outlook.com settings. (don't forget the "Advance Settings" button)
From a look-see on the web it appears that the following are the needed settings. BUT, you'll be wanting to validate.
