Safari or IPhone issue with Website ..

Hey guys, .. question..
I have a Win 2003 Server and setup IIS. I've designed a website. Firast I had many *.png and a wallpaper with a size of 500K. I had issues with getting the page loaded, which mean that 2 images were loaded and the rest not. now i reduced each pictures size down to 5K. So the web site will load really quick now.
When I go to my work computer i can access my site without any issues. but the IPhone try to load but then after 5-10 minutes it don't show anything. I connected to EDGE first and then to another WIFI spot to see if it's the connection speed.
So my question, SAFARI on the IPhone do show lots of websites like ESPN or CNN which have a bigger data size but it can't show a simply site that i've made.
what could be the issue? I testd it just now from y work system and it pops up without issues, i also did a cold bootup (IPhone)

flavor4real,
To help narrow it down some, does the page load with Safari beta for Windows on your computer?
Does the page get any errors with tools for validating the HTML of the page? Such as:
http://validator.w3.org/
Have you verified your links to the images are not pointing to your local hard drive, instead of using a URL?
Hope this helps,
Nathan C.

  • IPhone Issues with USB Connection and Bluetooth in GM cars

I recently purchased a 2009 Chevy Cobalt SS/TC and it has a USB connection for an iPod. Prior to the 2.1 updated the USB connection worked flawless as well did my handsfree/bluetooth. I had the Apple Genius Bar check my iPhone for any issues due to a corrupt update but everything turned up fine. When i connect to my car I receive an error message (iPod Did Not Authenticate. Check iPod Version). Also my bluetooth will sync but when you answer the phone using hands free you get no audio from the iPhone or speakers in the car. I used a friends iPod and everything worked fine but when I connect with a new iPod it displays the same error. I have contacted GM but they said talk to Apple.
If anyone can help please let me know.
    Thanks

    Hey J,
Well you got me thinking about your question, and I guess I didn't get it the first time. Again, I own the same car - 09 Chevy Cobalt SS/TC, Black. A lot of fun! I plugged my iPhone into the radio USB connection and get the same error. The GM radio does not support the iPhone. It will not authenticate. The GM radios' firmware is looking for an iPod, not an iPhone. That is expected. As far as the iPhone and it's Bluetooth, again the iPhone's Bluetooth hands free works fine, except I cannot answer the iPhone during an incoming call without first unlocking the iPhone then pressing the mute button on the steering wheel. For what it's worth the iPhone will charge through the USB connection. I'm a little confused on what you are trying to connect. Bottom line, an iPod should always work, an iPhone, not at all. Lastly, I have purchased the GM Personal Audio Link (PAL) and hope to use it with my iPod so I can put the iPod in the glove compartment. Although I have heard a lot of negative comments and issues with it for being slow and sluggish. If so, I'll be sending it back and I'll stay with the USB connection. I'll let you know how that works.

  • Issue with website Storage Settings panel

    Hi
I have an issue with the Website Storage Settings panel. I want to increase the storage settings but the bar always resets when I reload the page.
I only seemed to have this issue after I updated to the latest software. Any help?

You don't specify your operating system.  On Windows, try deleting the 'Flash Player' folders in %APPDATA%\Adobe and %APDATA%\Macromedia
No browser window must be active when you do that.

  • IPad and iPhone issues with 1242AP

    Hi,
We have a 1242 AP (b/g and a) installed at a customer site where they would like to use iPads and iPhones along with laptop PC's for wireless LAN and internet access. We've tried getting these devices to connect and are having problems.  Laptops using b/g radios are having no such issues.
I've read about the iPads having problems when trying to connect to APs that support mixed modes (b/g, n).  Does anyone have any experience with regard to solving this issue?  Should we turn off all the g radio settings in order to force the AP and iPad to connect using the b radio standard?  Also, since the iPad doc states that it has support for the "a" radio standard, could we solve the problem with regard to the iPads by turning on the 5 ghz "a" radio in the AP?  Right now it is off.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

My understanding is that when the Apple Devices like iPad, iTouch, iPhone go into sleep mode they actually shutdown the WiFi radio interface which causes the device to obviously disconnect from the wireless and then the user idle timeout on the controller kicks the user off the network. Then when the device comes out of sleep it has to re-enable the radios, then search for networks, then reconnect, and then go thru the authentication process and some time it fails or can get blocked as a result of too many reauthentications.  So I generally turn off the exclude client option to minimize the occurance of this.  This maynot be the case but it's what i have experienced with them.
Hope this help... Please rate useful posts.
    Thanks,

  • HT4972 Issues with Website viewing in Safari

I am currently a college student and the online learning site we use will not fully load in Safari, so I downloaded Google Chrome and it still says that it is using Safari to open it instead of Chrome. What do I need to do to change this?

    - What type of site is it?
    - Could be that the site is looking for a desktop browser. There are some browsers for the iPad where you can select the browser to identify itself as a desktop browser. Chrome or Safari are one of those and I do not remember which ones allow that.
    - When you go to the site on a desktops does the site say anything about requirements?

  • Iphone issues with wifi connection?

while connected to my home network internet connection does not work properly.
Most of the time safari will work fine, although sometimes it can say can't connect... but the most annoying of all is that itunes almost ALWAYS gets the "cannot connect to itunes store" error. it will often work ok when i first load it, and then if i click say the updates or seach buttons it will try to load and then fail, or if i try to install an app it keeps saying "cant connect" with the option to retry.. if i retry 10-15 times eventually it might work..
my home network is fine. i have a few laptops that connect to it, and other iphones that connect to my network experience the same problems.
my router is a billion 7500G

i gave it a go last nite, same problem.
this morning i opened the appstore while connected to wifi (with bluetooth on).. and mind you i was probably sitting about 6 metres from the router through a wall so my connection should have been perfect
as i opened the appstore it loaded fine. i click "updates" i get the dreaded "cannot connect to itunes" message. after trying a couple of times i get the page to load eventuall, and when i try to instal an app update, i get the same message with the "retry option". after retrying 5-6 times i couldnt be bothered anymore and gave up.
i should also point out that my internet connection is fine.. adsl2+, which is pretty much as good as it gets here in australia.
to me it seems to be some ort of issue between my billion router and the iphone, being incompatible in some way, whether its configuration or not..
on another forum somebody suggested a while ago that i try to set a static ip for the phone.. did that to no avail..

  • Explorer Issues with Website Adding White Background

I am working on making simple cosmetic changes to a website I did not build. More complex job than I thought mostly because of trying to figure out the past designer's coding. I have a basic knowledge and was able to make the needed changes. Except that in Explorer there are white boxes behind my header links. The background used to be white with blue text, I have switched them. Works fine in Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
    The website is: iflygillette.com
Anyone have an idea on how to fix this? You can see the screen shoot below. Our slideshow of banner ads also stops after one loop on Explorer. I've been reading through code until I'm cross-eyed. Not sure. Thank you!

Your banner is a Flash animation which cannot be viewed by iPhones, iPads, iTouch, Androids or any other browser/device that does not have Flash player.
You may want to change that to a jQuery rotating banner.  For examples, look at jQuery Cycle2 or Wow Slider.
In your SpryMenu.css file towards the bottom, there are hacks for older IE browsers.  Currently, your background color is set to white.  Change that value.  Save and upload the style sheet to your server.
/* HACK FOR IE: to stabilize appearance of menu items; the slash in float is to keep IE 5.0 from parsing */
    @media screen, projection

            display: inline;

  • Jabber for Windows / iPhone - issue with photo and search

    Dear community,
I have an issue regarding Cisco Jabber for Windows as well as iPhone & iPad.
I recently upgraded our Call Manager infrastructure from 8.6.5 to 10.0. Along with that, I wanted to rollout the new Jabber for Windows (9.7.2) because now we use a very old version (9.2.1).
After I upgraded my test client, I noticed that the user photos (which are retrieved from active directory) were gone.
So for the first time, I decided to modify the the jabber-config.xml (I attatched the two different versions).
I used the jabber config generator to create the new version: https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/106926/jabber-config-file-generator
My attempt is to achive these goals:
    1) I want one config file which is working with Jabber for Windows, iPhone & iPad, Android as well as Jabber for Mac
    2) I want a secure connection from the client to our directory server
    3) I want to retrieve the user photos from the active directory user (attribute thumbnailPhoto)
    4) Jabber should find only users which are a member of the active directory group "example" (example is a nested group which contains several users and at least _one_ other group). Until now, the whole active directory was searched for users/contacts.
So far, 1) and 2) seems to work fine. 3) and 4) are the troublemakers and I really don't no why.
    Can somebody help me?
    Best regards,
    René

Look at this thread. You can find the answer there.
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12241391/ldap-contacts-and-photos-jabber-ipad-iphone-and-android-not-working
First I had to uncheck "Use UDS for Contact Resolution" and then I had to create a new jabber-config.xml and upload it to the TFTP server.
But there are a few limitations you have to deal with. But I have mentioned that in the other thread.

  • IE7 issue with website

I developed my own website in Dreamweaver CS4 checking browser compatibility and validated all pages for both IE and Firefox. I uploaded my files to my Yahoo hosting account and now that it is live I can not view my home page (index.html) and one other page with IE7 - but all pages are viewable with Firefox. I verified that all my pages have the same header information and can't figure out why only these 2 pages are having an issue. When they load in IE I get a blank white screen with 'done' listed on the bottom left of the browser and not showing any errors.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks

As a Yahoo-hosted site, it will never completely validate due to the code Yahoo inserts after the </html> tag on every page. The validator will help find errors on the rest of the pages, though.
But this particular problem will not be caught by the validator. You have an opening HTML comment in one of your style elements that does not have a matching closing HTML comment. Since using HTML comments inside embedded stylesheets hasn't been need since - oh, what NS 4?, just delete it.
    Change this:
    <style type="text/css">

  • Weird issue with website(/s?)

I guess this relates to networking?
Anyway, for some arcane reason DeviantART stopped working, cleared cache, disabled all extensions, flushed history, flushed cookies, did everything, still nothing.
installed midori and firefox, still not working.
so I decided to contact their help desk, which just proved to be an utter waste of time (as expected)
here's a video demonstrating the issue, it's about 5 minutes long and shows extensive testing with all three mentioned browsers (two at stock settings, mind you) and it shows me re-disabling all extensions and clearing everything but saved passwords and form autofill data in chrome.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eKQRWSL3pc
I'm at loss, it's been over a week now and I've tried everything and can't find even a hint as to what causes it.
at the time of recording the video I was running kernel 3.15.5-1-ARCH, not I'm running 3.15.5-2-ARCH (if that matters), DE is Mate 1.8.1, chrome version 35.0.1916.153 (Official Build 274914), Firefox version 32 and midori whatever version is current.
from what I can tell every other website works fine, no idea if other sites break since I don't visit too many websites.

as for what stopped working means, the video explains it quite well.
the dropdown menus don't work, the deviantWatch is broken and the menu items are unclickable (whenever I'm hovering over a menu I click after a while, then when nothing happens I click frantically to demonstrate it's not working).
at first I assumed (and still do) that the issue was on their end as it only affects me but they more or less said (heavily paraphrased) "no, fuck you. we can't replicate it on ubuntu therefore it must be on your end"

  • Safari 4 Final Issue with Home Page Preference

In Safari > Preferences > General:
At the moment, my General prefs are set as --
    Default browser: Safari.app (4.0.2)
    New windows open with: Same
    New tabs open with: Same
    Home Page: http://www.google.co.uk/
    Remove History: Manually
    Save d/l'd files to: Desktop
Remove d/l'd items: Upon Successful d/l
Open safe files after d/l'ing: checked
Open links from apps: in new window
...the reason being, unless I set "New windows/tabs open with..." to exactly the same option/URL as the home page (or vice-versa, unless the home page is set the same as "new windows/tabs open with..."), Safari 4 Final will only open to whatever is set in "New windows/tabs...", not the selection I've made for my home page.
It does not matter what URL I use for Home -- http, https, a Google account, a non-Google account, etc. -- Safari 4 Final will not open with my preferred home page.
    I would rather have:
    New windows/tabs open with: Bookmarks
    Home Page: http://www.google.co.uk/
    -OR-
    New windows/tabs open with: Bookmarks
    Home Page: https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin
I've searched diligently for a solution via MRoogle, Google, Apple forums, for several hours. I've deleted the Safari plist and restarted, I've performed every standard, recommended ploy (archive & install, Disk Utility, ya-da, ya-da) and I have....nada.
So, here I am at last, exhausted, hoping my faithful pro pals will drop by with some useful 411. Thanks, gang!
:::sudden idea -- is there a possibility of conflict somehow with the Top Sites concept and opting for a home page? I don't use the TS feature at all. :::

    HI,
Unless you leave your Mac on between 3:15 and 5:30am in your time zone, it can't run cron tasks for you (maintenance) which can help with the Safari issue.
Try forcing background maintenance, instructions here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2319
If using the Terminal application seems daunting... get Cocktail It's free and easy to use. Once it's installed click the Pilot tab, then click Tasks and click Run. This will run maintenance. When it's finished Quit Cocktail and restart your Mac.
Hopefully you will be able to set a home page now.

  • Having issues with websites and videos

At some point last week, my computer began having problems loading certain websites (I noticed it on about 3 different sites.)  The sites would load but not until after several minutes of loading.  My main issue is that I can't watch videos on other sites except YouTube.  YouTube videos work fine but when I try to watch videos from other sites, it's just a blank box. I'm not sure if these two are related but they both started around the same time. Here are the things I've tried:
    -Updated Flash
    -Updated Silverlight
    -Reset my browser
    -Tried other browsers
-Tried logging on as a guest
-Unplugged my router and modem (didn't have much hope for this but, it fixed a problem I was having with YouTube before)
    -Downloaded older version of Flash
I tried searching around for solutions but, I haven't been able to find someone with this same problem.  Does anyone know what's going on? Thank you in advance.

This issue is normally caused by the person that made the Video, it depends on what they used to create the video.
Some users have had to download different players to eliminate this problem.
Quicktime, Adobe's Flash Player,  and on and on.
To eliminate this problem I suggest you download VLC Player and it will Play just about everything out there.
    http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
I am almost poitive this will fix your problem and be sure you get the onefor Mac And make it your Default Player

    should be like this: http://i52.tinypic.com/2s8fddi.jpg

    Very strange.
I had already cleared the recent history according to the instructions from Firefox. But they didn't specify/recommend to delete site preferences as well.
So I only did cache/cookies. Now I just deleted the site preferences and it worked.
thanks a lot for the help.

  • Iphone issues with windows 8.1

    i can't Windows 8.1 to recognize my 4s

Non of the Apple suggested resolutions have worked for me.   Have uninstalled all the Apple programs in the order suggested and re-installed several times with no success.   As of today, February 18, none of the suggested solutions have worked.   iTunes still will not recognized my iPad or iPhone on my machine running Windows 8.1.  Worked fine when running Windows 8 but has not worked since the upgrade to Windows 8.1.   My other machine, running Windows 7 Home Premium, works fine.

  • IPhone issues with pics over iMessage

Our iphones are telling us that our pics we are tring to send are not delivered. But the other person can see it. Also I was using my iPad and it was having the same problem. Then when I checked my iPhone, the pics didn't sink with the message i had delivered. All the texts were there, but no photo. Also it's taking a really long time to sync with iCloud on our computer.

    backup the device with itunes.
Restore the device with itunes and set up as new.
Sign into the facetime and imessage to activate it.
After that is done and activation is good.
    Restore from the backup.
Then make sure to sign into facetime and imessage again and you should be good to go
