Safari & Password Autofill on my iPad 2

Just got a new (second) iPad. I have been unable to set Safari to auto load user names/passwords for repeat websites. I have been to Settings/Safari/Passwords & Autofill, and have also set up Keychain in iCloud.
Have reset, rebooted & prayed. Still no luck. Any other suggestions?

Tap "Private" to turn off Private Browsing on Safari Screen. Make sure top of screen is white (Private Browsing off)

I understand that you would like to know the difference between your Safari Autofill information and your iCloud Keychain. Your Safari Autofill information it the information that is currently saved on your device such as personal contact information and website usernames and passwords. iCloud Keychain syncs all of that information between your devices.

IOS8.2 how to delete saved safari passwords on ipad

My iPad is completely up to date, as is my iPhone 4 on IOS8.2
Yet I cannot delete the saved usernames and passwords in Settings / Safari / Passwords & Autofill / Saved Passwords.
I have tried the Edit button, selected all I want to delete and then tapped Delete and they all disappear.
Back out and Power Off and leave it for a bit, Power ON and they come back again
I have also tried, in the same place, sliding each username and selecting Delete but again even after power off and on they are all still there.
Apple Please Help, this version of IOS and Yosemite seems to have so many bugs its making my life awful trying to get

Try turning off Keychain?
Settings->iCloud->Keychain.

Using Safari Password Sharing to Autofill Login Info in Apps

At WWDC 2014, developers were told that a new part of the Continuity functionality would be the ability to have Safari keep your login information for an app and autofill it. I think it was called Safari Password Sharing. It's referenced on a number of websites:

That's probably due to the sites being secure sites.
You might try the trial of 1password and then see if that works for you on the sites you like.

How to take password autofill back on for a website on safari?

I accidentally clicked "Never save passwords for this website" and now autofill on that website doesn't work. How do I get safari to autofill my password for that website again?

Open Keychain Access located in Applications > Utilities
Select Passwords on the left.
Type in the name of the website top right corner in the search field.
Right or control click the website name then click Delete.
Now back to Safari. Go to Safari > Preferrences > AutoFill
Make sure: User names and passwords is selected.
Navigate to that website again. Enter your user name and password as usual. You should be prompted to save that data to a new keychain.

user name and passwords autofill only autofills the user name and not the password. Any ideas on how to change this so that passwords are also autofilled?

Some web sites (particularly banks, credit card companies) specifically code their sites to prevent the password from automatically appearing. This is due to security concerns.
Notwithstanding the above, It's possible there's oddities in the Keychain file. This file retains your User Name/Password information. In your Finder: Applications>Utilities folder. Open Keychain Access. Go to the Keychain Menu>Keychain First Aid>Repair. If any errors appear rerun until you get a clean pass.
If the lack of auto-fill continues, there is a workaround for the web coding via 3rd party Safari add-on (shareware) SAFT. In SAFT's Misc. preference file settings (part of the Safari Preferences) is "Auto-complete always on".
Note: some of the more elaborate security sign-ons, such as those that use multiple pages for the sign-in are not overridden by the SAFT feature.

Not independently of the whole iPad - which can have a passcode added to protect everything.
Alternatively, access your email through webmail in Safari then you can log-out when finished.

New MBP but no Safari passwords

I am missing something very basic. . . .got a new MBP but after syncing with .Mac, I do not have passwords filling in nor do I get prompted to store the password on. I know I am missing a setting somethere. . . just not sure where to look.

I don't have a .Mac account, but look in Safari Preferences > Autofill: and see what options you have selected.

Please Help With Keychain Access and Safari Passwords!

I would like to take advantage of the capabilities that Keychain Access has to offer... I like how it can store passwords from websites. I have stored several website passwords in Keychain Access and currently have it set to where it asks for my keychain password when first opening Safari, and then it automatically fills in my passwords that are stored in Keychain Access in the corresponding websites. However, when I close Safari completely, the next time I open Safari it already has my passwords filled in, without asking for my keychain password. The only way I have found to make Safari ask for my keychain password every time it is opened is to select "lock all keychains" in Keychain Access. It is a pain to have to open Keychain Access every time I close Safari in order for Safari to ask for my keychain password again. Is there a more simple way to make Safari ask for my keychain password everytime I open Safari?

Try this:
Open Keychain Access and find "Safari Forms AutoFill" in the list. Double-click it and go to the "Access Control" tab. (You may need to enter your keychain password at this point.) Remove Safari from the "Always allow access by these applications" list. Press "Save Changes."
Does this get Safari to do what you want it to do?

Problems with safari 7 autofill

I must have accidentally messed up when adding an email address into a web form or something. Everytime I now try to type the email address into any new form which should be [email protected] safari inputs [email protected]@
I just get to firstname.lastname@ and [email protected]@ is added
I've reset safar, deleted all content but nothing works. Any help would be appreciated.

Look in Safari > Preferences > Autofill. It could be in your contacts card, or other forms.
Look in Applications > Utilites > Keychain access.
select Login for the keychain
select all items for category
see if there's a keychain entry for this. You can use the search box.
delete any suspect entries
do Keychain Menu > Keychain First Aidenter your password, select repair, and start
I'm not sure if you have to restart at this point, but it wouldn't hurt.

Get Back Safari Password Manager

I recently clicked on the option not to allow a password to a certain website but no I want to have Safari remember the password. Anyone know how I can get this option back so I can be asked for the password option???

I think you go just go to Safari Preferences -> AutoFill -> User names and passwords -> (Edit...) and then delete the specific instance you want it to forget. The next time you visit the site hopefully it will ask you again if you want to save or not.

I do not know if it's relevant or not, but I got a message on my ipad while on safari saying that my iPhone has a virus. I looked it up and it seems it might have just been an ad from the website I was on, but it happened around the same time YouTube stopped working.

You will find that using the YouTube app will provide a better viewing experience for YouTube videos.

Other iPad 2 and iPhones work properly.

Do you mean that it will not launch a web page? It sounds like that is what you mean since you reference the other iPad and iPhones as working properly.
Can you get email on this iPad? Can you use any other apps that need Internet connectivity?

How can i change my apple id and password, i have 2 ipads, when i upgrade the 2nd ipad for the new iOS 5, i apparently synch, including the apple ID of the first one, now I need to change ID on the 2nd?

I created a new one but let say i go to apps store and install app, it will show dialog box with the 1st apple ID.

If these are both yours on the same account then give them different names so iTunes can tell them apart.
If the sync was an accident then do a "wipe" of the other iPad and set it up as new under a different ID and make sure iTunes knows it's a different accout, that is set it up as one, before you begin the sync.
