Safari Performanc while using any 3D intensive application

Hello,
After upgrading to Snow Leopard I have notice a significant decrease in performance while running Safari if I also have any 3d intensive application also running. For example when I have World of Warcraft open I usually have Safari open in the background. This is near impossible now since upgrading to Snow Leopard. I have not had any issues until after the upgrade. I did find a post over on the WoW forums of another user experiencing something similar. I have not changed any settings since upgrading. I also experienced lock up and had to "manually" hard reset my iMac. I have sufficient harware, 2.66 core 2 duo proc, and 4GB of memory. Anyone experiencing similar problems? As I said before I had NO issues before upgrading, in fact I would have WoW, iTunes, Safari, and Adium all up at the same time with no performance degredation.

You installed the Conduit spyware. To remove it, back up all data, then follow the instructions on this page:
Help Center | Community Toolbar
If those instructions don't work, proceed as follows.
Triple-click the line below to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). From the Finder menu bar, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder…

I've seen a report that Conduit may be bundled with a scam "utility" called "MacKeeper." If you installed MacKeeper, you should remove it according to the developer's instructions. It's worthless and causes many problems reported on this site.

Unless your bank's website is insecure, you're fine. Go up to the Safari "Search" bar and type in Rapport. You'll be amazed. It may "work" on PCs, but definitely not Macs. And it's not needed for Macs.

MacBook Pro Freezes while using more than two applications at the same time

Over the last two weeks my MBP has been freezing every time i use two or more applications at the same time. For e.g. my whole system freezes from time to time when i use itunes and safari at the same time. This problem never existed before and has just started recently and is really annoying. What can i do to fix it?

Rather than re-installing Safari have you tried simply "Resetting" it (head to "Reset safari" under the "Safari" menu). It is possible that something in your user folder that supports Safari is really the cause of the problem. Re-installing Safari won't deal with this, but re-setting it can.
In fact the first thing you should try is simply choosing "Empty cache..". If your cache files are corrupted then this in itself could explain the behaviour.
If you choose to do the Reset first try it with just "Empty cache" and "remove all website icons" selected. This will reduce the amount that you will "lose" in the process. (Cookies, history, etc). Add in additional options if the first attempt doesn't fix it.

I keep reporting this to Apple...I'm using a Macbook Pro with OS 10.5.8 (I have a DVD here with 10.6, but the mac sees this as a blank DVD, so I can't update the OS, and this DVD came with my purchase; that's one issue). The other big issue are the constant crashes while using Safari. It's happening several times a day, usually when Flash is involved:

Constant skipping while using any other program

Im sure this has been answered somewhere but couldnt find it in a basic seacrh...
itunes constantly skips whenever i am using any very basic program - even one internet browser or outlook. one of my roomates had the exact same problem and reinstalled itunes and everything worked fine. ive tried that and nothing improves. ideas?

My iPhone thinks I am in Pune but I am in Bangalore. I've tried all the basic solutions. I can't use any location service applications :-(

I have restarted the phone. I have turned location services on and off. I have synced the phone. I use an application which requires location services which is how I noticed this. Only started yesterday. The map even shows me a very specific location thousands of kilometres away
It does seem to correct itself about 10% of the time, but then, without fail, shows me just south of the Pune International Airport (do they really have an international airport in Pune??)
Any ideas?

Error while using external service from application service

It's always a good idea to check the log file. In many cases you find hints what the reason for the error could be. The log file can be found here: <root>usrsap<SID>JC30j2eeclusterserver0logdefaultTrace.<xy>.trc where <root> is probably c:, SID something like F33, F41, ... and <xy> a number 0, 1, .... -> the highest number is the last and therefore most youngest log file. Please check out this file.
Another very common (but trivial) error is that you forgot to specify the URL and the end point location of your Web Service in CAF's config tool. Blue screen of death while installing any Adobe Air application

Whenever I try to install an Air application I get a Blue Screen and then my system restarts.
I cannot even take a screenshot of it.
This happens with every air application I try to install.
I also searched for the same on Adobe forums and found the same problem being faced by someone else.
His problem was resolved by uninstalling a software named "Folder Lock".
I searched my hard disk for this software and found one, so I deleted that software (shift+delete) and removed all it's traces from registry too but that still doesn't solved the problem.
I also tried disabling the antivirus software and then install the air application but this also didn't helped.
I was able to install air applications earlier, but now I can't.
Anybody having same sort of problem. One colleague of mine is also having the same problem.
Please help me out.
My system's config is as follows:
Windows XP Home sp3
Flash Builder 4, with SDK 4.1, 3.5 installed in it.
Adobe Air v 2.5
1.5 GB RAM
1.66 MHz processor

Thank you for taking out your time to solve my problem.
I did all the steps mentioned in that link i.e. installed folder lock and uninstalled it from it's options only.
But it didn't solve my problem.
Here is the screenshot of the Blue Screen Of Death that I was presented while the application was being installed.
The BSOD appeared while the application install progress is shown to the end user.

Recently typed text is underlined with black bar while using any applicatio

I just recently formatted my computer and ran migration assistant to retrieve my Time Machine backup. When I completed the process, every word/text I type displays a black bar under the most recent word until I press spacebar or return. I noticed that the return key now acts like fn + return instead of the standard return.
This behavior only occurs in my primary account. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove this black bar aberration?

Here's one way. Log into another admin account (create a new one if your primary account is the only one with the issue), delete the primary account, saving its data (that's put into a disk image inside /Users/Delete Users/), recreate the primary account using the same username/password combo as before, log into the recreated primary account, mount the saved data disk image, copy everything from it to the current account except what's in your user account's /Library/Preferences/, replacing the default items. Then, try the various apps that had the issue and see if the problem's gone. Once you've checked all the apps that had the problem and ascertained that it's fixed, replace everything in the current /Library/Preferences/ with only those items that didn't change recently. It's a slow but laborious process. Take your time and you should minimize the time spent. Alternatively, you could try to find the conflicting or corrupted plist files, but that takes more time.

Computer keeps going to sleep while using compressor

I have been using compressor for years to compress my video files. I edit the videos during the day and I let Compressor run all night long. Last night when I tried to run compressor over night something happened and I am hoping someone out there can help me out. What happened is that after a few minutes (probably 30 or less) my computer went to sleep. I have the computer settings set to never sleep, and it never does. Except now I find that when I run compressor, for some reason it goes to sleep. I can wake it up using the mouse, but that is not productive for overnight batch jobs. I even tried installing "jiggler" a program designed to move your mouse for you, but that didnt work. The computer still falls asleep. Does anyone know what is going on or how I might fix this problem?

I got this issue resolved. It turns out that the computer was overheating while using the processor intense compressor program. All I had to do was to open it up and clean the dust out and off of the heat sinks. Who knew that such a simple solution would stump so many people.

RMBP and Freezing during Graphics Intense Applications

Hi all,
I have a MBP Retina and whenever I try to run Civilization V or Aperture Full Screen (or anything else that requires switching to the nVidia graphics), my computer completely freezes in place. This means everything can display on the screen, but everything just stops. If I was listening to iTunes while doing whatever activity it suddenly stops playing, along with the application I am using. Mouse is completely frozen. Is it a software problem? Should I go spend some time getting it replaced at the Apple Store?

I've been experiencing the same exact issue. I also noticed when using an external display that the screen will show some static for a couple seconds then everything will work as intended.
Were you able to replicate this issue on the Windows partition (if you have one)? The issue is definitely heat related. If I use SMCfancontrol to keep the fans at a higher rpm while gaming or using a graphic intense application, everything is fine.
I'm trying to figure out how to handle this.

When the processing goes at GUI_DOWNLOAD it gives me unknown error where as the same code is working when used in report program. My requirement is to save password into excel file at my local machine. I am using FM MS_EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT to save password in excel file but this function module fail when it reach at GUI_DOWNLOAD . Can you please help me out.

Try to avoid the way your using in the BSP application and it is abdicable to use the standard methods / class available like "cl_bsp_utility"

Ipad2, why can I not listen to musik in one Safari tab, While reading in another?

In safari, ios5-ipad2, musik and movies pause when i switch tabs. WHY is that?!! It must be possible To play something in the background this century!

It's possible on the iPad, just not in the way you want to do it. Almost all player apps play in the background under multi-tasking, no problem. I've not tested Safari to see if it also does because, frankly, haven't yet discovered a need to use the browser for anything like that.
If it is possible, though, you can use one obvious workaround: Get the music playing in Safari and then use any of the other browsers available to do whatever it is you need to do in the other one.
