Safari quits all the time and will not relaunch! Any suggestions?

I can't Launch safari on my imac! Every time i try I keep getting this error message....
Can anyone help?

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
If Safari crashes on launch and you don't have another web browser, you should be able to launch Safari by starting up in safe mode.
You may have installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those.
After removing the malware, remember to reset your home page in all the web browsers affected, if it was changed.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked.

Safari can't find server, will not browse, quits all the time, garbled texts, don't know if I am using safari and snow leopard or safari with ox lion which i have upgraded recently.

If you mean Safari extensions, that's OK. Extensions are not necessary in order to use Safari.

hi guys! my safari keeps closing suddenly all the time. it's not "quit unexpectedly" with report kind of crash. it prompts no report whatsoever. when I relaunch it, it always opens in the same condition it left, with all the same tabs. and also it says flashplayer was not updated. but when I try to update from the adobe website it just wont work, wont start download whatsoever. I have tried uninstalling the older flashplayer but still it wont start download from the adobe website. now "missing plug-ins" is all over, on so many websites. I cant even open videos in youtube.

The next time you have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

I have a 5 month old Magic Mouse and I want to replace the batteries for the first time but the battery door will not release any suggestions?

It could be you are approaching it incorrectly.   It can be a tricky little gadget that actually works with minimal pressure.
Try turning over the mouse so the compartment panel faces you, optical sensor topmost. Then holding the mouse at each side but not on the panel itself, flick the small, black rectangular panel downwards.   The top of the panel should spring out, though it may require you to manipulate it fully away from the mouse.
Once you have replaced the batteries, starting at the bottom reverse the procedure then clip into place.   Remember to move the small switch next to the optical sensor upwards which should turn on the green light.   Then click twice to connect.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

I downloaded Maverick and now safari quits all the time

I have checked and all updates have been done. Safari as well does not work properly, it goes back to system preferences, like home page goes back to apples page even though I have changed it to Google.ca. I am not able to use my favorites bar, I have to type in the site manually, when I can get it to stay open Grrr.
Any ideas out there???

Mail in 10.6.4 not usable: it consumes all CPU time and will not quit

Mail application does not work properly.
It eats up most of the available CPU time (till >300% on my machine), becomes unresponsive and will only quit when killed by a force quit in the Activity Monitor.
I have only two accounts set up. One Gmail account and a google apps one.
I used to synch with a Blackberry but now I synch directly through google apps.
The problem was sporadic at best at first but has become the usual behaviour now. Major change has been installing 10.6.4
I have switched to Thunderbird since Mail is not usable.
Tx for any hint on how to solve this issue

It seems to be a recurring issue with 10.6.4...there's probably not much mere mortals like us can do. I haven't found a solution. Try re-installing 10.6.4.

Safari Quitting all the time

My safari has been crashing non stop for the past couple of days. When I click on the safari icon it goes to my homepage like normal but after about 10 seconds it quits and a box comes up telling me the safari quit unexpectedly. At first it said that the problem may have been caused by the .SecurityAdministratorv.tmp plug-in. But now it went back to saying that it just quit unexpectedly. HELP!!!

In addition, please try to use the general steps to troubleshoot the windows update issue, and refer to the steps below:
The following outlines how to stop services pertaining to Windows Update, rename system folders, register related DLL files, and then restart the previously mentioned services. This troubleshooting generally applies to all Windows Update related issues.
Stopping services pertaining to Windows Update
1.     Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator.
2.     If you receive a notification from User Account Control simply click Continue.
3.     At the command prompt, type the following, commands and then press ENTER after each command.
        net stop wuauserv
        net stop bits
net stop cryptsvc
Please do not close the Command Prompt window.
Renaming folders pertaining to Windows Update

Help! My iTunes is getting stuck on the backup and will not go any further

I have just bought a new iPhone 4S and would like it to have everything that my iPhone 4 had on it but it is proving very difficult. I have tried multiple times to back up my old phone without success - I did think that with the cloud and all the new **** that I wouldn't need to plug my iPhones in ever again but this does not seem to be the case at all. I have managed to back up my old phone on my laptop and have since put my apps, contacts, calendars, messages etc onto my new phone but now I would like my music which is on my PC. This is where the problem is - iTunes on my PC will not back up my old phone and it will now not sync with my new phone either... Is there a way around this or will I have to suffer with having no music on my new phone?? It seems that everytime I upgrade my phone I always have some sort of issue with iTunes - I just thought this time would be different with the new software etc...?

Go to iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices and delete your latest backup. iTunes has to be able to read your backup in order to replace it, if it can't be read, iTunes will stop at step one, which is backing up the device.

Well if the basics (restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new) don't work, then you've broken your phone. Bring your phone and $199 to Apple for an out of warranty replacement.

Safari beach all the time and just acting WEIRD

Okay so whenever I use Safari, it always freezes and crashes. If its not beachballing, the tabs are really strange. I can't select a tab until I click somewhere else on the current webpage. Then I can click the tab. Usually clicking on the tab sends it into a freeze. Anyone with the same problem or a fix for it???

Nice to hear from you that it worked ... BUT the Cookies.plist that you dragged to the desktop contains ALL log-in passwords. So, when you trash it than you will loose these passwords for good.
When you write down ALL this information than you can trash the Cookies.plist on the desktop when NOT than you have a problem.
What you could do is to open the Cookies.plist in Text Editor and search for the Cookies you don't know. Select them and delete them in the Cookies file. When you are finish SAVE the Cookies file and swap it with the Cookies.plist that is NOW in the Cookies Folder.
