Safari Reader and multiple page stories

The link below takes you to a five page story in the Washington Post. Reader will only display the first two pages of the story. There is also an ad that appears in Reader at the bottom of the second page. Is there some trick I'm missing to try and get the entire story to display in Reader? I'm able to read other multiple page stories on other newspaper and non-newspaper sites.
I've tried paging though the story without Reader to see if it would save it in cache and then opening Reader but it still only displays two pages at a time.

BTW, I think Reader is the best new function introduced in a web browser in quite a few years.

Thanks for your fast and courteous replies.
I cannot see any button or other icon at the bottom of Reader that would allow me to continue to the next page. The only icons visible are: Zoom, Email, Print and Close. I tried emailing the story to myself just to see what it would send and I only got the first two pages plus the jewelry ad at the bottom of the second page. It sends the document just as Reader displays it. Sorry if this is something obvious I'm missing.
Since you can see these buttons and I can't I'm going to assume this is something peculiar to my installation. I can't imagine what that may be but I'll keep rooting around and see what I can find.

Gmail with POP and different domain

I have a "[email protected]", but the account is hosted by gmail. pop.gmail.com, smtp.gmail.com. I do not receieve emails on my iphone, but can send them. When i do send they show up in inbox like they were "CC'd" to me. Ive read that is a problem on gmail site, but WHY Cant i receive new emails?? HELP

Did you follow these steps to set up your hosted account (taken from [Gmail's website|https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=72454]):
If you're using a non-Gmail address hosted by Google, please follow these instructions:
1. Tap Mail from your iPhone's Home screen.
2. Tap Other.
3. Select POP from the tab menu.
4. Fill in your name, address, and description in the appropriate fields. The Address field should be your full email address (username@your_domain.com).
5. Under Incoming Mail Server, fill in the Host Name field as pop.gmail.com.
6. In the User Name field, enter 'recent:' followed by your full username (recent:username@your_domain.com). This will enable POP Recent mode, which will give you a better experience on the iPhone.
7. Under Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), fill in the Host Name field as smtp.gmail.com.
8. Tap Save.
Also, to turn off Recent Mode so that you do not get the duplicate emails you send, please follow the steps in this article:

Lync Implementation with different internal and external domain sync

Hello Experts,
Having Windows 2012r2 with Lync 2013 frontend and Edge 2012 server on Win2012. Internal domain name is test.local and Internet domain name is : tgroup.com. Internally all the clients are able to sync with frontend
server using [email protected] or [email protected] Internal CA and External Digicert works fine. But only problem is with external clients who want to communicate through edge server.
Edge server has 3 LAN ip address (nat with public IP), 10.10.10.2, 10.10.10.3, 10.10.10.4 and another Internal network interface which has ip 10.10.20.3
which uses that to communicate with front-end.
How to achieve this ? We dont have reverse proxy configured and we have only two servers.

The reverse proxy is used to publish URL's like the meet and dialin url, the address book url and the lync mobile client (smart phones and tablets) urls. This doesn't impact the external desktop user access as thats via the edge server. There is more to
it than that but for the sake of keeping this simple lets stick to that for now.
As far as SIP domains go. Think of your Lync users as having a SIP address similar to email addresses. You wouldn't have a user with an internal email address but with a different external email address. In fact best practice is to have the Lync SIP address
match the email address.
My reccomendation is to use the ttgoup.com as a sip domain and not the test.local

CDSSO Issue in Web Server 6.1 SP 5. Agent and AM in different domain.

I have Sun ONE Web Server 6.1SP5 and installed Policy Agent 2.2.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

Safari shows colors different than other browsers and GoLive

Does anyone know why Safari shows colors differently than Firefox, Explorer and Opera, Mozilla and Golive?
For example if I use "websafe" colors in photoshop with 2.2 gamma and sRGBie...2.1 and save, then import into Go Live with the working space the same, North America Web/ Internet, the colors are typically darker, although occasionally they are the same.
I have tried embedded profiles and non embeded.
The difference only happens when I view the page in Safari. By the way I use a mac, GoLive CS2
This is a constant frustration. I have created several tests but have found no satisfactory results. I am in the process of creating a website for teachers who use powerbooks and safari. And this color change really restricts creative possibilities. If the same page is viewed in Firefox it looks like it does in GoLive.

True on Windows Safari and other Windows browsers.
Safari on Mac and other Mac browsers 'assumes, assigns, applies' the Mac's default monitor profile to untagged color.
This is easy to proof here in the sRGB rollover:

If Mac Safari 'assumed' sRGB on untagged files, then the sRGB rollover will have zero change.

Except in Mac browsers that have 1.8 monitor gamma profiled.
The Mac-specific problem with trying to match tagged graphics on matched-color background in Safari is:
1) The color background is untagged and will Assume default Monior RGB.
2) The tagged graphic will be Converted to Monitor RGB.
In other words, if you fill a page with 4bb93c and place a tagged sRGB image, filled with 4bb93c, the two colors won't match up in color-managed Mac web browsers like Mac Safari...however, if you untag the sRGB file, it will disappear on the page, but it will be off color depending how close Monitor RGB is to sRGB profile in Mac browsers.
Windows, on the other hand is a different beast, it Assigns sRGB to untagged color, so tagged/untagged sRGB will be good in all Windows browsers.
At least that is what I have seen here on my Windows Vista Business box.

Config Manager 2012 setup w/ SQL DB in a different domain and Forest

Hi all I'm hoping these are easy questions. The SQL admins in my environment are pushing for me to have the DB hosted on the managed SQL servers vs on the PSS. The only potential problem is that the SQL servers currently are in a different domain/forest.
There is a two trust between forests. The managed workstations will be in the same domain as the SCCM infrastructure. There will not be any managed workstations in domain where the SQL server resides. Eventually all SQL servers will be moved to
a different domain, but it will not be the same domain as the SCCM infrastructure. My questions are below
Will I need to have another PSS in the same domain as the SQL Server? If yes then i assume I'll need a CAS as well to manage both PSS.
Since the SQL servers will eventually be moved to another domain/forest, which will have a two was trust as well, what are the potential issues that can arise from this?

Technically what you're asking for will work. THat said: you should be willing to demonstrate to your SQL team that SCCM will be fully capable of overwriting, dismounting and otherwise destroying every database on that shared SQL server due to
the ridiculously elevated permissions required on said said SQL system.
To clarify:
SCCM will require local administrator permissions to every node in the cluster. When it connects, it will immediately install a server role on said cluster. It will also require full administrative access to the instance the database will reside
in. By the time all this fun stuff is open, anyone who knows how to open up a command prompt under the system context of your SCCM server will be able to to all sorts of fun stuff that really REALLY won't make your SQL team very happy.
I'd fight the desire tooth and nail. If they threaten to not support the SQL instance I'd be OK with that even. Microsoft won't even support you if you make any edits/changes to the SQL database directly anyway.

ADFS not communicating between different interanl and exteral domains

I have one ADFS server which is on my LAN and a proxy server installed in DMZ. My internal AD domain is (i.e cricket.co.nz) which is different from the external public domain (i.e nzcricket.co.nz). I need to communicate from my ADFS server to Yammer with
my external domain name (nzcricket.co.nz). But due to different domain I facing issues to make them communicated.
My servers are on windows 2012 r2.

The URL of your ADFS server should be the same internally and externally.
You should look at setting up a split-brain DNS to make sure that nzcricket.co.nz is resolved to the local IP of the ADFS server for clients in the LAN and to the public IP of the ADFS proxy when clients are on the internet.

i have the Problem that i need to maintain Groups in all Sub Locations just adding on dailybase all Users to a special Group... my Problem is that i need to maintain these Groups in 5 Domains in this Forrest.. arround 300 Groups at all.. so i created
a script in Powershell (basic knowledge ) The Script works in my case but what is not working is that after login to the DOmain it will switch back to the normal Usercontext.. Using in this case an Enterprice Admin is not an option because the
script will later run multiple Times everyday
so what i need is an Funktion which would logon with a special Admin in each Domain doing some work (normaly with functions and disconnect thats why i use the Switch routine

PDFs look different in Adobe reader and Acrobat professional compared to the built in PDF viewer on windows 8

Hi there,
I have been trying to narrow down an issue we have been having for some time in printing PDF files and finding that they look different on paper compared to screen. Up until today our big KIP plotter got the blame, but as I have been collecting notes on a little windows 8 tablet I noted that PDFs opened in the windows PDF viewer have the same visual defects as the printouts. My example today is that on a CAD drawing there is a small box/frame with a number in their, I tried printing and the frame was completely blacked out. As a test I tried saving the PDF as a TIFF file from Adobe Acrobat professional and this file had the same fault as the printed copy. When I open it in the windows 8 pdf viewer I can see that there is a shading within this box that does not show on Adobe Reader (latest version 11.0.10.32), the adobe reader and acrobat pro version both show a white background to the box. We have been having lots of issues with sections being missing from drawings and overly feint lines.
I am not sure where to start trying to narrow down why we are getting different results in different PDF readers. Is there anyone who maybe able to point me in the right direction? It almost feels like the shading or colour density is not being consistent when PDFs are being opened in different packages.

Some PDF viewers comply with the PDF ISO Standard (ISO 32000) "just enough" while others (such as Adobe's) fully comply.
As with anything there's a cost to using anything that comes from a "just enough" approach.

New Mac, new software, can't open .fdf - Reader and Safari 'flicker'

My brand-new Xeon tower with OS 10.6.4 is loaded with the latest software version of everything, and when I try to open an .fdf file (Dental Claim Form from my work benefits) Reader has a conniption, booting up Safari (no matter which browser I'm using) and then 'flickering' as Reader and Safari try to take the front window from each other. Safari is Version 5.0 and Reader is 9.3.3. I tried uninstalling the Adobe PDFViewer Safari Plug-In to see if I could force it to read as a Firefox plug-in, but it still boots up Safari and has a battle for front screen. Nothing is crashing though, I can click on the File menu and whichever app is front when I click gives me a menu I can Quit from. I just want to get an address to send a claim form to, not play software games!!!

Safari, itunes, and Adobe Reader wont start up on iBook G4

I have an iBook G4 that I purchased from a friend a few months ago that seemed to be working fine up until two days ago. Now for almost no reason at all, Safari, itunes and Adobe reader will not open anymore. Can someone please help me?

Did your friend give you the system discs for the machine? If not, get them. Then see if you can boot from the Tiger disc and repair your boot drive.
Also, you can go to Disk Utility and try repairing permissions. If you have downloaded software and not done this, there will likely be many permissions to repair. Downloading can change permissions, and it is good practice to repair permissions after downloading software.
While in Disk Utility, check the SMART status of the drive. If it says anything other than "verified", the drive is on the way out. It may also be on the way out even if DU says that SMART is verified.
If you can get the discs, also see if you can find the Apple Hardware Test and boot to it and run the extended version of it.
Does the iBook still have its original hard drive? If so, the drive could be beginning to fail. If that's the case, you will need to replace it.
This is just a place to start. Report back with how it goes.

Back up all data.
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, there should be a setting in its preferences such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected. Otherwise do as follows.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others — I don't have a complete list.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.
