Safari really going screwy

I am really having problems with safari now , everytime i try to login to various different web sites i get a message saying error in io java exception class
and various different other messages of a similar nature.
also cannot get into the apple support site to check on status of repairs to my ipod. just get message that safari does not support this site, *** this is an apple site for crying out loud.

There's no reason Safari should run slowly. Try running Activity Monitor and see what is running. You might try throwing out all of Safari's preferences and start over with it.
A simple test, if Activity Monitor doesn't show anything odd, is to download Webkit - from webkit.org - and run that. It uses your bookmarks but a different rendering engine. (Webkit is Safari but it's the public builds of the engine before they end up in some form in Safari.)

OH MY God what is really going on?

My identity has been stolen from a big group of well organized criminals who are playing beautiful music together. Meaning they are working hard and well together at what they are trying to accomplish together. Sounds like you are in Full screen mode. Run your cursor to the top of the page and click on the blue arrows on the right hand side.

Well it probably won't come as a surprise for me to tell you that I can't afford to pay Apple to replace my logic board. I bought mine in September of 2010, so I'm almost 4 months out of warranty. Say I brought this to Apple after a year from purchase, I would had to have paid for the repair. I don't know when this article was posted, but for an intermittent hardware problem, I feel rather cheated for not being notified by Apple of a potential manufacturer's defect, like you would expect from say an auto manufacturer.

You can't and downgrading is not supported by Apple so you may have to sell your phone instead.

Safari freezes , goes blank

Hi, i have mountain lion and safari 6.2.2 (up to date)
My problem is that sometimes I'm on internet (on safari) and out of nothing, safari freezes and all my tabs go blank, if i wait nothing happens, so i have to close safari and open it to continue using it (i lost all my tabs and open stuff so is pretty bad) , sometimes if i press on new tab while all other tabs are blank a windows jumps that says that to open a new tab i must "close" or reload all other tabs that arent working…. but this not always happens.
I cant use safari really, and i hate all the others navigators.
I don't use adblock or any extension.
as i write this i will updaet flash to see if its that but i updated flash before and the problem persisted.

Is Safari really slower than Firefox?!

Hello,
I'm trying to migrate to Safari, after years of using Firefox. One unsettling thing I've discovered is that for some reason when I click a bookmark in Safari very often there is a pregnant pause before it takes my to the requested page. Sometimes it freezes up all together & never takes me to the page so I have to retry getting to the page. This never happended with Firefox.
Are my Safari settings somehow off or is Safari really that much slower than Firefox?

Something's not right. Safari and Firefox should load pages the same.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari
Select: Clear History / Remove all website data / Clear the Downloads list
Click Reset. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, try troubleshooting extensions and third party plug-ins.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

Safari only goes to 1 internet page, won't go elsewhere

So when I try and use the internet, safari only goes to the Vodafone 3G website, rather than google or anywhere else. Vodafone technical support had NFI about what to do .
The troubleshooting we did included a SIM card change, using a working SIM in the phone, which worked fine - we also used my SIM in another phone, which didn't. So it would seem to be an issue regarding my account, but not one that we could see - there were no blocks or bars on the phone account or anything like that.
I guess it's a long shot, but anyone have anything similar happen to them?

Have you tried having the iPhone forget the network and then re-join? Don't know what your Internet setup is, but if it is a Cable Modem with an Ethernet running to the Airport Express; have you tried unplugging the Power from the Cable Modem and the Airport Express ...wait at least one minute and then plug the Modem back in. Next plug the Airport Express back in. Take a look at your Network via Airport Utility and see then click on your Airport Express and see if it is supporting any or all of your WiFi devices. If you only see your "First Laptop" being supported then depress "Edit" on Airport Utility on the Airport Express Balloon. See if your Setup has the Security correct (example: WPA2 Personal). See if the Network Name is exactly right. If you make any changes save them. Then whatever is not connecting should be made to rejoin the network.

Is there really going to be an iPad 3 in November of this year (2011)?

I have been hearing a lot of mixed things about the "iPad 3". I was wondering, does anyone know for sure that there is really going to be an iPad 3 coming out in November of 2011? If there is going to be one, what are some of the new features? Or what are some of the talked about new features? Any answer would be greatly appreciated!

Those that know can't say, particularly on these forums. They would have signed a non-disclosure agreement so would get into a lot of trouble if they said anything here. You can read other web pages with a ka-jillion rumors, but all are guesses until Apple actually releases the product.

Macbooks are only supported if the're late 2008 Alu or early 2009 or later:
The OP may have an early 2008 Macbook. You have a Macbook Pro, which is different.

Regarding Safari; (screen goes crazy when I press the Top Sites bottom)

Safari sometimes goes nuts

Safari sometimes seems to loose the page formating, especially on the Apple pages, causing the whole page to look like un-formated junk. Is this a Safari bug, or are the Apple Discussion pages going bonkers at times?
Once it happens, it seems that the entire Apple site doesn't load pages properly, but other web sites do. So is it that the Apple site uses some code that Safari doesn't like? Or is it the Apple servers?
Firefox seems to render the page correctly, though, so I suspect there's something going on in Safari.
Anyone else seeing this? Strange, to have to use Firefox to access the Apple site...

Thanks, Barry, but no haxies (unless Pithhelmet is considered one). I asked a friend to check the site, and he had the same problems as well, so it may have been a temporary and intermittent problem on Apple servers. It would happen, he noted, once a person logged in. And I was able to confirm that as well.

Can't open Safari, keeps going back to the locked screen

I just got my I-Phone (8 gig) yesterday. Today, when I click on the Safari icon to open it up, I get a status wheel for a moment, then it goes back to my wallpaper and lock screen. I tried resetting the network settings but it is still doing it. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Try this:
1. Double-click the Home button and hold apps in the Task Bar down until they all wiggle then tap the minus sign to close apps. Tap the home button to return to Home screen.
2. Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

IPad safari direclt going to Aruba networks sign-in page

Hi, My ipad was working fine till last week and today it acting funnny, when i try to connect to apple store, its by default going to aruba networks sign-in page and even when i try to open Safari, its doing the same Can anyone help how do i get out of this?

When i open Safari it goes to the last website not my homepage

I just downloaded Lion, and discovered that it upgraded Safari also. When ever i fully close out of Safari and then re open it, it goes back to the last page i was on. How do i make it so when i open safari again it goes to my homepage. I have it set in the prefernce for new pages to go to my homepage. Thanks!
