Safari refresh button?

Hi, Please how do I add a refresh button to the Safari tool bar?
Thanks in advance, Elizabeth

Hello Elizabeth,
Click on the small circular arrow next to RSS in the menu bar.  You shouldn't need to add it; it should be there.

  • Safari Refresh Button vanished from Tool Bar!

Uploaded Safari 4 and now find the Refresh Button has disappeared from the Tool Bar! I used it all the time when updating Web Sites and testing them live. Tried the Reload Page pull-down but it is not the same. The old page is still there. It's a pain to Reset Safari each time. Had to go over to FireFox! Any ideas? Or how do I get back to Safari 3!

The refresh button is to the right within the address bar; or as mentioned Cmd-R works as always.
This is undeniably the case but I want it back where it was, close to the other controls. I also want the blue progress bar back. At least that gave some idea of how the page load was proceeding.

  • Refresh Button in new Safari upgrade

Can someone tell me how I can "refresh "as the new update doesn't seem to have a refresh button in the menu bar or if it does I can't see it. Thanks

Safari 4 is a great upgrade, but this is a horrible change. I get that it's trying to be consistent with the iPhone, but the use paradigm for a large monitor is completely different from a small handheld device. The refresh button should be located with the other browser control buttons. Because the button is so small and so far away from the others, it takes a lot longer to click it than it did before. This is illustrated by Fitts' Law:
"The time required to move to a target is a function of the target size and distance to the target."
This is a perfect example for a case against user interface consistency.

  • Refresh button deleted by mistake

First, my thanks to Dave Sawyer for answering my help plea so quickly and directing me here to ask my question. My question is how do I get the refresh button (which I accidently deleted) back on Safari?
    Thank's in advance, Tessie2

    Hi again, Tessie,
Go to the View menu in Safari and select the "Customize Toolbar" command. In the window that will open, locate the Stop/Reload icon and drag it to the Safari toolbar (you can put it anywhere on the toolbar that you wish).
For future reference, this isn't the best place to ask a question about Safari (the example I gave was if you had a question about iTunes). These forums are subject-specific to try and keep things organized, so it's generally best to ask a question in the forum that's closest to the subject of your question. If you look at the main Discussions page:
    http://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa
You'll see a lot of forums for different topics. Try to pick the one closest to the topic of your question. It helps keep the forums from becoming a "free for all" and will help people who have knowledge about your question see it.
    Regards.

  • Where's the Refresh Button on Find my iPhone on web page?

Can't find any sort of refresh button on the Find my iPhone web page using iMac with Safari.  Has it been removed or hidden?  Clickin on the compas icon doesn't refresh either.

seems as if the button was removed, is your hybrid option there as well? seems as if the refresh and hybrid button has both disappeared

  • The REFRESH button is missing, and No I do not mean RELOAD !

    Here is a simple test...
Go to my work site :
    www.scforeclosures.com
Click on Bank Properties, then click on a city. Hit the "reload" button . It goes BACK to the main page.
Open Firefox, do the same thing but use the "refresh" button. See the difference ?
I cannot believe Safari has removed this.....wow

So what's the sudden change? Why the need to change the schematics so that Refresh is now a reload command ? Anyone know why would developers need to do this?

  • Safari "back" button gone

Anybody else have this happen? In the upper left corner of my Safari (2.0.4) page, where there used to be a "back" button (black triangle), I now have a "refresh" button (half-circle).
I can still go back a page by using CMD-[ but I want my button back!
    Any ideas? Thanks.

    Hi,
There are 2 ways to restore it.
    - Quit Safari, trash the Safari preferences file at /Users/YourUsername/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist and then restart Safari
    or
    - Right-click (or control+click if using a single button mouse) on the toobar area and choose 'Customize Toolbar...' - from the dropdown that appears you can re-add the missing buttons.
    Hope that helps.

  • How do you put safari web pages into icloud with the safari iCloud button?

how do you put safari web pages into icloud with the safari iCloud button?

What that button does is sync your tabs between your devices. So if you have multiple macs with Mountain Lion and/or devices with iOS 6 (once it comes out this fall) you can pick up where you left off. For example, let's say I have apple.com, nytimes.com, and facebook.com open on my mac, but I need to run. Later, if I need to use another computer in my household, I can just restore the tabs that I was using before on this other mac.

  • How do I get Firefox to view the latest version of webpages when I return, instead of having to click on the refresh button?

I couldn't find the option to choose on Firefox to view the latest version of web pages automatically each time I return. I've been needing to hit the refresh button.

You can make Firefox always reload a page by changing a hidden preference.
    # Type '''about:config''' into the location bar and press enter
    # Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    # In the filter box type '''frequency''' to bring up a small number of preferences
    # Double-click on the preference '''browser.cache.check_doc_frequency''' and change its value to '''1'''
For more details on that preference see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.cache.check_doc_frequency

  • Team Foundation Server 2013 Refresh button not refreshing Custom Control values in TFS Templates

    Hi all,
We have recently migrated from Team Foundation Server 2010 to Team Foundation Server 2013 Update 2. In TFS 2013 template design we found the refresh form control (inbuilt control of TFS) which is unable to refresh the custom control values that is built
by us. Is there any way that we can programatically modify to enable the refresh button work with custom control.
Please find below screenshot link for reference.

    Hi SaranRam,
The refresh button is there to allow the data that populated the work item to be refreshed. The data that you want refreshed is part of the rendering of the form and would only be refreshed when the browser refreshes. Refer to MrHinsh's reply in this
    page.

  • Why is it when I go to a website, it shows a blank page until I hit the refresh button?

When I visit any website, at first, it shows nothing and stops loading. It is not until I hit the refresh button that the site will load. It is like I have to visit the page twice before it works. I have checked my connections, inside and out. I have called my ISP and had them run some tests. I have downloaded Firefox again and re-installed. I have also cleared my cookies/cache completely and the problem persists.

Don't know. What kind of player?

    * If the menu bar is hidden then press and hold the Alt key down, that should make the Menu bar appear (Firefox 3.6 on Windows) (see [[Menu bar is missing]]).
    * Make sure that you have the ''Navigation Toolbar'' and other toolbars visible: View > Toolbars .
    * If items are missing then see if you can find them in the View > Toolbars > Customize window.
    * If you see the item in the Customize window then drag it back from the Customize window to the Navigation toolbar.
    * If you do not see that item then click the Restore Default Set button in the View > Toolbars > Customize window.

  • Disable/Hide the Refresh Button in Child report

    Hi All,
    Our Environment is BOXI-R2;
    We have a Master Report calling a Child Report (based on Open Document);
Our requirement is to hide the" Refresh Button "in the child report Layout
    we tried using "hideRefresh=true"
but the child report is not responding to the above clause
    Help us in this,
if this is a BUG in XI R2, let us know the Service Pack details
    Thanks

Joe , Thanks for your Inputs..
our master report has the aggregated Measure , when the user clicks on this , it has to open a child report (with paramters from master report).
We are aware of customizing "viewer.js " file (under BO install home) with "refreshDocIcon = null".
But is this the only solution to hide the refresh button in the child report ?
SInce its already a PRODUCTION environment, our customer won't allow to change the standard settings of the product.
    Thanks
