Safari Refuses To Work on Windows XP SP 3

Hi,
Just to let you know, I'm new here .
I downloaded Safari a while back, but it crashed within ten minutes of using it. Now, it won't start at all and comes up with an error message, asking me to send an error report to Microsoft.
Now, I've tried a re- install many times, but it keeps happening. Does anyone have any ideas what might be going wrong? I really love Safari, so it's pain not being able to use it.

I really would like some help as it is occuring on both my family's new iMac and new macbook air.

Updating to Safari 6 for Lion may help. This can be done on both Macs.
You can use Chrome to download the file...
Click here > Safari Quits Every Time Opened: Apple Support Communities
Then click the link posted by: gregoryfromcork
That will automatically download this file > Safari6Lion.pkg.download
Now quit Safari.
Go to your Downloads folder and double click that file and follow the instructions for installing.
Then restart your Mac, try Safari.

Safari 4 not working with Windows 7 RTM

Hi all,
I'm having an issue with Safari 4 (4.0.3) not working in the Windows 7 RTM build. I'm using the 64 bit build from Technet, and it does not even work when using it in XP compatibility mode. The funny thing is I have not had a problem with running Safari with the 7100 RC build, and other browsers such as IE and Chrome work just fine. Anyone have any ideas, or do I just need to wait for Apple to fix it?

Is there a reason why safari isn't working for windows anymore?? It's saying there's a problem and just wants to close. Help guys!

So i've been using safari for windows for a couple of year with no issues. A couple of days ago i tried to open safari and a pop came up saying that it isnt working properly. I checked for any updates and there wasnt any, i then uninstalled safari and installed it again. The same thing is happening.
Has anyone got any idea what is going on?? or is anyone having the same issues??
I've now installed chrome as my browser. I did like safari though

Yeaaaaa that's a matter of opinion and I don't share it.
It's margianlly better than firefox and it burns CPU and ram like no tomorrow.

I’m sorry to hear that Bluetooth device is not working on ThinkPad R61.
To resolve the issue please right click on computer and go to manage, in device manger check if there is any yellow mark in any of the adapter in it.
If it is showing any yellow mark then not all the drivers are installed in your system.
If there is no yellow mark, then you can check with installing Lenovo power manager application and restart the system.
After restarting the system press Fn+F5 to enable the Bluetooth device.
Below is the link to enter the downloads page and download updates accordingly, please click on "Select Product" then in "QUICK PATH" enter the MTM no. select the exact model.

Safari refusing to open on Windows XP

I JUST downloaded Safari 4 Beta.
It installs sucessfuly, and I go to open it.
I click on the icon. Nothing.
So, I type the file location in the 'run prompt'.
Also nothing.
I open the Task Manager, and see if the process is even running.
I try to open it, and it runs for about 2 seconds before stalling, and ending the process.
Anyone have the same issue?
Anyone know the solution????

My favorite browser Safari (5.1.5 ) has stopped working. Yes I know is on a PC. But is been very good to me for a long time, untill about two months ago. I keep getting a pop up message saying "Safari has stopped working" I will close the pop up message and continue working but within a few minute, the message will pop up again. The browser opens up fast as always and runs fine but the message is a pain and annoying. I'm running Firefox now , but I want my Safari back . Please help.

I generated the problem report similar to the above screen shot " by way of IE 9 " but will not let me copy and paste the contents as a screen shot in reply to your post here . Copy to clipboard did not work either. I might be doing something wrong. Oh well.
By the way , the only difference is- The Problem Event Name of mine is not BEX. but rather : APPCRASH. Fault Module Name : JavaScriptCore.dll. Fault Module Version: 7534.55.2.1. Windows 7 64-bit: Safari has stopped working

Help needed! I am one of those guys that has to use a Windows machine at Work. So I have a Windows 7 64-bit OS on my work laptop. I use Safari at home on my Macs. Since I have a browser choice, I surely want to use Safari 5 on my Windows 7 machine but so far I am having no luck. Safari runs for X minute (time varies) and then all of sudden crashes with a message "Safari has stopped working." I have uninstalled Safari, manually cleaned up all the Safari folders that go into user account preferences, ran a registry cleaner via WinUtilities so that all traces of Safari are gone. Then did a fresh install with Administrator privileges (I even tried the install with my own login ID) but either way the result is the same -- Safari 5 crashes at random. What can I do to make Safari 5 on Windows 7 stable? Please advice.

Fingers crossed, the problem reports for those errors might cast some fresh light on the source of the problem.
Head into your Problem Reports and Solutions control panel (or the Windows 7 equivalent ... the Action Center?) and look for recent Safari problem reports. Open them up and look through. Do they all seem to be saying the same thing? If so, paste the contents of a typical problem report into a reply here so we can have a look.

I've just updated OS to 10.10.1 and Finder keeps trying to open and then closes every 2 seconds with the message Finder is not Available. If Safari is opened full window it immediately closes and will only work with window smaller than maximum.

I just spoke with Tesco technical support (having been transferred to them by Clubcard support), who told me that the problems people are experiencing when visiting the Tesco site via Safari aren't currently being addressed because "not enough people have called to complain about it".
I asked what percentage of people he thought might make the effort to call instead of just giving up. He replied that he would be one of those who just gave up.
So it would seem that if we would like the problem to be resolved, we each need to take a few moments to CALL TESCO and ensure our complaint is logged by the technical support team.

Safari not working in windows xp?

Safari 5.1.2 under windows xp with all of the latest updates does not work with widnows xp.

This is really bad. I have noticed this problem long time ago. 8 months ago, switched computers and same problem. Anyone experiencing the same problem? If its not supported anymore apple should state that on download page

UPDATE: We were able to further identify the root cause of the problem to be when anonymous access is turned off and the subweb is set up to use basic and integrated authentication (IIS settings). To test this, we removed integrated authentication (leaving only basic authentication in place) and the problem was fixed. However, this is not a viable solution as we need to use integrated authentication (for various other reasons).

HT5364 Webpage content other than the homepage cannot be seen in Safari, can see we site tabs but no content. Works using Windows Explorer. Any ideas?

I should have explained further. The game opens in a new window over to the upper left of my screen, leaving the original page underneath. I tried minimizing it so that I could get to my toolbar and did the View > Zoom > Reset. This has no effect. The lower portion of the game is still not showing. Using other browsers the window or frame of the game is much larger, therefore everything shows.

Shortcut for downloads window in Safari does not work

My shortcut for downloads window in Safari (command-option-L) does not work anymore, when i press that combination of buttons, iTunes appears in my screen.

Try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file.
Quit Safari.
Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop. Now launch Safari. Try the keyboard shortcut for the Downloads window. If it didn't help, just move that .plist file back to the Preferences folder.
Also, go to your Safari menu bar click Safari/Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset. Restart your Mac. That might help too.

Define "don't work". Frankly that's about the most vague and useless statement without some clarification.

Safari refuses to load webpages after update

Since updating to Safari 5.1 if I attempt to log on to a website, the progress bar moves slightly before stopping and the page refuses to open. Oddly it works with no problem on my wife's account (OS has 2 accounts, mine being the admin).

Since it's ok on other user accounts, it's possible you have a third party plugin installed (in your account), or an Extension that was oompatible with the prior version of Safari but not 5.1.
Check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. Turn that off if you have any installed, quit then relaunch Safari to test.
And it could also be a third party Safari addon. Troubleshooting help here > Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
If nothing above helped, Quit Safari.
Open a Finder window select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left. Then open the Library folder, then the Caches folder, then the com.apple.Safari folder.
Move the cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Relaunch Safari. See if that helped. If not, try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file. (preferences)
Go to ~/Library/Preferences. Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop.
Quit then relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, move the .plist file to the Trash.
~ (Tilde) character represents your Home folder.
