Safari renders page differently from Safari Mac.

I tried to see some web cartoon with my iPad, and I found he image width is shrunk so it's not good to see cartoon.
I tried to zoom the page but the image displayed as low-res image with pixel doubling.
If I try same page with Safari for Mac, image looks fine.
Also if I save image from my iPad and see it with Photo app, it also has high-res quality.
I found same problem for two different web cartoon sites.
Please find the difference from attached screenshots.

    Multi gesture for browsers different from safari, for example right to left scroll to previous page. How to set it like in Snow Leopard?

    THe only gesture to change tabs is to tap the tab in the address bar. You can go back a page in a website by holding one finger on the left side of the screen and swiping right. You can go back to a previous app by placing four fingers on the right side of the screen and swiping left.

  • How do I upload pages docs from my mac to iCloud?

    How do I upload pages documents from my mac to iCloud? Is it something I have to turn on through Pages or do I drag and drop them in the cloud?  When I try to drag and drop them in the cloud, they instantaneously get downloaded to my computer.  iCloud is turned on in my preferences and I have an iCloud account.

    You put them in your Dropbox folder and then open them from your Dropbox app on iOS into your iOS iWork apps. That's puts them into iCloud, including the icloud.com webpage.
    That certainly is not the official solution but the official Apple is silent on how to achieve this.

    How do I sync a Pages document from my Mac to my iPad Pages app using iCloud?

    The desktop/Mac OS X versions of the iWork apps have not been updated to take advantage of iCloud yet. In the meantime you can go to iCloud.com, sign in & click the iWork icon where you can upload & download files. You could also try e-mail or Dropbox. Hopefully we will see those updates, maybe even a whole new version of iWork, soon.

  • How to display URL on PDF copied from web page;Does from Safari browser/Not Firefox

    When I make a PDF document from a web page when in Safari, it automatically puts the URL in with the document but not when I'm using Firefox.

    What is the format of that online document - is it an image, or is it perhaps already a PDF document?  If so, you can right-click on it and save it to your local disk.

  • Safari rendering colors differently due to size.

    I have a circular image that is RGB: 235 0 28.
    When this image is 150px X 150px or less Safari renders the RGB as: 203 29 38, as soon as it is 151px X 151px or larger it renders the RGB as: 235 0 28 which is what it is if I open the file in Photoshop.
    I've tried this test with both PNGS and GIFS any thoughts?
    Safari is: Version 6.0.2 (8536.26.17) on 10.8.2.

  • IPad 2 iOS 5 multiple pages missing from safari

    I upgraded to the iOS 5 and now my safari web page doesn't have multiple pages unlike before that I can have 9 pages simultaneously and just switch from 1 to the next. Please help me fix this.

    Thank you very much. I thought that there was something that went wrong during my upgrading to the iOS 5, because I went ahead and used the iPad user guide and there with pictures it showed how the multiple pages should look like and mine just showed the tab/plus signs. With that said, I'm very disappointed with the new safari "upgrade". Again, Ty for the quick responses and informative answers.

  • Firefox renders differently from Safari

    I have a little html code that produces two similar paragraphs. The only structural difference in the two paragraphs is
    a line-end appears in the second paragraph between the two /font tags.
    I expected the line-end to be treated as white space and ignored. It is ignored in Safari Version 5.0.2 (6533.18.5), but it is not ignored in Firefox (Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12).
    When rendered in Firefox, the second line in the second paragraph appears just a little bit lower below its first line than in the first paragraph.
    Here's the html (How can I get it not to render?):
    <pre><nowiki>
    <html>
    <head>
    </head>
    <body>
    <p><font face="Arial">This is the 1st line in the 1st paragraph.<br />
    <font size="2">This line is just below it.</font></font></p>
    <p><font face="Arial">This is the 1st line in the 2nd paragraph.<br />
    <font size="2">This line renders lower in Firefox.</font>
    </font></p>
    </body>
    </html></nowiki></pre>

  • Safari app is gone from my mac and it wont reinstall!my daughter put frostwire and I think i uninstalled it but safari is gone now i cant open any emails that have links to the!help!

    I have Lost my safari app from my my, my daughter downloaded frostwire toolbar, and safari icon wouldnt respond , so i uninstalled frostwire and still could not get safari to respond, then i reset safari and lost everything, i tried to ininstall it from apple , it says successful, then i click on it and it asks me do i want to install, but thats it it never installs... I have all my busniness bookmarks and study bookmarks, arghhhh! also when i click on my email and try to open a link it clisks on a blank safari page then shuts down with an error sign?

    Frostwire is a version of the now defunct Limewire, built as a not-for-profit project, and its developers claim it will never support DRM or any type of advertising. With the threatening cloud of lawsuits gobbling up P2P clients one at a time and forcing them to go legit, Frostwire’s future is in the balance.
    In other words, like Limewire and other bit-torrent clients, it is software for illegal file sharing and/or downloads of pirated or even doctored software, and like other P2P probably a major source of malware.
    There is a tutorial here:
    http://www.dhnet.ufl.edu/getconnected/tutorials/p2premoval/frostwire_osx/
    on uninstalling Frostwire, that may help.
    Then repair permissions and restart your Mac.

  • Preview in Safari is Very Different from Firefox

    Hi, Im pretty new to this web design stuff but I have done a few websites already, but this is very frustrating.
    I made a site layout in Illustrator, exported it as a tiff to Photoshop where i sliced and optimized it, and saved it for web and devices, with html and everything. Then, when I open it up in Dreamweaver, it looks fine. The problem is when i preview it in safari. All of the tables blocks are in the wrong place, and stretched and distorted. But, when i preview it in FireFox, it looks fine!
    I have no idea whats going on here and its driving me crazy, so any help you have is greatly aprecieated!

    Tom and Andrew,
    What's frustrating is not being able to see your code.
    To get help here, we must see the code (not screenshots).  Ideally, put your files in a test folder, upload the folder to your server and give us the URL.  You can always remove it later. That way we can use our web developer toolbars to examine your code and test the page in different browsers.  That's the BEST way to get help here.
    If you are unwilling to do that, you can simply copy and paste your CSS and HTML code into a reply.  Use the double blue arrows >> Syntax Highlighting > Plain.
    Code will look like this.
    In the meantime, use the code validation tools below and fix any reported errors.  90% of browser rendering problems are caused by coding errors.

  • Safari Rendering Pages Improperly

    recently i've been having problems with all of my webbrowsers, i've tried to use safari, firefox and opera and they're all doing the same thing. some pages will surf fine and some will render text in glyphs and almost 733t speak! i've tried to change the character encoding to several different codes and nothing seems to work! is it because i'm using openDNS since the problem seems to be universal across all my browsers? or is something wrong with my setting in OSX? please help! i'm on leopard. thanx ahead of time for taking the time to read the problem.

    i think i've been a bit vague. so i took a screen shot of what some pages will render. this screen cap is what craigslist looks like when i search for "iphone"
    http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3041/27301063176af9611caco.jpg
    and this is what i mean when i see it render in 733t (look at the headers):

  • Safari won't open from my mac pro

    after reinstalling my lion because my computer crashed, everything worked out ok except safari. everytime i tried to open it, it quits unexpectedly. i have already udate my software but nothing i did seems to solve the problem. please help. thanks!

    Back up all data.
    Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder... from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
    If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
    If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

  • Safari rendering pages incorrectly

    Has anybody else experienced this? Any fixes???

    Dagwood -
    The second attempt at screenshot works great.
    I now see what you're talking about . . .
    Have you done these? If not, do so and report back, OK?
    1. Empty your cache & History settings via the Safari menu
    2. Trash your Icons Folder:
    HD>Users>Home>YourName>Library>Safari -->Icons
    Restart Safari and a new folder will be automatically regenerated.
    (This folder saves favicons of all the sites you visit. Needs cleaning periodically -- or you can change that file's preferences to "Read Only"
    rather than "Read & Write." This will keep it from growing in size.)
    3. Launch Font Book and check all fonts for duplicates. A duplicated font will have a bullet beside the font family and you can resolve duplicates by selecting the font and at the menu bar, go to Edit > Resolve Duplicates.
    Do this for each font with a bullet next to it.
    If you're still having problems:
    4. Shut down your computer . . . unplug the computer, modem, and router, if you have one. Let everything sit for 2-3 minutes. Plug everything back in, start up your modem & router, then restart your computer.
    Hope this helps

  • Firefox spacing looks different from Safari and Chrome

    The vertical spacing in the title layer is fine relative to the large image in Safari and Chrome but it's crowds the image in Firefox.  Can someone tell me how to fix it?  I want to retain the swapping feature of the image which is not in a layer.
    The site is http://dinghydogs.com

    Looks the same to me in FF 15.1 & current Chrome on Windows.
    You have quite a few coding errors that should be fixed.  Errors can compound display issues in some browsers.
