Safari Staying on top

I've been having an odd issue with Safari that been happening more recently over the past few days, but has been there for a while. If I'm browsing in Safari and I click somewhere else, such as on a finder window, the finder window would come into focus (over the Safari window) but the tool bar still says it's on Safari. I would have to click on to click between Safari and the finder window a few times before it works.
Another issue I've had that's similar to this is there are times when I'm click on other windows and Safari refuses to go into the background (even if I use Expose and select another window, Safari stays in the foreground no matter what I do). The only way around this would be to close the Safari window.
Is anyone having any issues with this? I'm using Version 3.1.1 (5525.18).

Why is the menu bar and dock staying on top when trying to watch videos on Safari/Chrome?

I just re-installed OS X Yosemite on my macbook pro. When i try to full screen videos (such as Netflix) on Safari, Chrome, etc. the menu bar stays on top of the screen, as well as the dock. The only work around is to open the browser in full screen and then hit full screen when watching the video. This was never the case before on Yosemite or other OS X versions....

Hi All,
I'm new to action script, and I just need this one script

top of all windows so the instructee is able to follow the

It would be preferable to not have to buy another product

if you create your exe with mProjector you can use one of its
new AS

I'm using xcompmgr which seems to be much faster than cairo-compmgr and I don't t have this problem.
Having said that, here is the relevant portion from my .conkyrc:

When I have my Firefox browser running, if I bring up a document from my computer, it appears briefly, then disappears behind the browser. It shows in the taskbar, but won't stay on top until I minimize all other windows.

According to your description ,we seem to suffer a performance issue here.
Have you tried to open the task manager to check the system performance ? Is there any specific process occupied many system resources ?Will the issue occur only with the specific applications ?
We can try to restart the Windows Explorer process to have a check.
If it only occurred with the spefcific two applications ,we can try to end the other application processes manually from the task manager to have a check .
If this is caused by the specific application ,we may need to look for help from the third party support considering they are all the third party applications .

Stay on Top vs modal error windows

I've noticed that if a window's properties include "Stay On Top" and a
modal error window is raised, you can't see the error. This can be a bit of
a problem, since you can't see what the error is before you acknowledge it,
but since the error window is modal, all focus is on it, even though it's
not visible.
Has anyone found a way around this?
BTW, we're using 3.0.M.2. Is this fixed in 3.5?

I see by your post that you are having issues with the print spooler on the Windows 7 computers.

Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. Find and fix common printer problems using HP diagnostic tools for Windows?
Try running the Microsoft Fix It Tool to see if it will fix the print spooler.
Diagnose and repair Windows File and Folder Problems automatically.
You can also run the System File Checker to repair corrupted or missing files.
System File Checker: Run sfc /scannow & analyze its logs in Windows 7 | 8.
You might end up having to do a repair of Windows.

Print Progress Dialog box always stays on top

Since upgrading to InDesign CC I have noticed that all print progress dialog boxes stay on top of all windows, even after switching apps. I find this highly annoying and want it to go away. Is there a preference I can change to make it NOT be on top, especially when I've switched to a different application?

(I am OP, having account issues)
Trashing preferences wouldn't help if it is a default behavior, which I think this is since it's been happening since the beginning with CC. I was wondering if this was a behavior that I can change with a preference or if I'm just stuck with it.

Is there a "stay on top" function ?

I have switched from Window to Mac and do not regret....
In Windows I used a small program "stay on top" i e it forced a window to stay on top. Is there something similar with Mac OS ?

It is now clear that Afloat has unique difficulties at installation
Normally you do not need additional help programs to install a program
This one seems to need no less than two other programs: SIMBL and Zipeg, and nothing is mentioned about this on the home page for Afloat.
Afloat shows a message of "installation successfull" although it appears nowhere and so you cant uninstall it !!
This is really bizarre !!
NEVER RECOMMEND SUCH PROGRAMS !
And all this program is supposed to do is just one simple thing: to keep a window on top.
So little for so much trouble!
And this is Mac, which is supposed to be more user friendly than PC programs....
I have now spent hours in this attempt and corresponding with KAPPY
NEVER RECOMMEND SUCH PROGRAMS !

Safari forgets some Top Sites after closing

Hello!
My Safari always seems to forget the Top Sites I set.
I have set all twelve Top Sites with my favorite Webpages.
When I quit Safari and start it again in the last row of Top Sites two of my favorites are gone and have been replaced by other randomly chosen Webpages.
I already tried to reinstall Safari by deleting the App and loading it again from apple.com.
I also deletet the TopSite.plist files and tried to reset Safari. None of these things worked.
Its funny though, that when I take a look inside the .plist the top sites are correct and in the correct order. Safari just doesn't display them correctly.
Does anyone have an idea? I like the Top Sites feature really a lot but its behavior right now is quite annoying.

Quit Safari.
Go to ~/Library/Preferences. Move the com.apple.safari.plist file to the Desktop.
Relaunch Safari. Try Top Sites.
If that didn't help, move the .plist file back to the Preferences folder.
