Safari streaming video bug - iOS 4.3 fixes but not on iPhone 3G

My camera stream (Mobotix) has never played in Safari on iOS - hangs after about 10 seconds . It works in every other browser including Safari on a Mac. The camera manufacturer has always blamed a cache/memory bug on the iPhone/iPad. Well with iOS4.3 it now works great on my iPad so it looks like there was a problem
BUT I can't update my iPhone 3G of course and so it still fails there Is there any intention to update Safari or fix this bug if it's an iOS issue on the 3G ?

Sorry, there is no iOS 4.3 update for the iPhone 3g or the iPod Touch 2g.

Try a reset.
Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake and Home button together. The screen will go blank but don't let go until the Apple logo appears (no data will be lost)
If that doesn't work, install iOS 8.0.1 then update to 8.0.2

Playbook shuts down after a few mintutes when streaming Video.. how can I fix this?

Hi There, new to this forum as I just purchased the Playbook 32GB. I really like this tablet and bought the micro HDMI cable so I could hook it up to my 1080p TV. Anyway, we're streaming video on the browser and after a few mintutes the Playbook screen starts to flicker and then turns black and disconnects from my wi-fi connection.
This is quite frustrating as we like the idea of streaming movies and dramas off the tablet to our TV and being able to enjoy it witout the tablet shutting down. I understand the shut down mode is to conserve the battery's power, but this even happens when the unit is plugged in. I understand this also happens when you download things for more than 5 mintutes as well as listen to music for longer then 5 mintutes the Playbook auto shutdowns.
Can this be resolved with an ap or software upgrade provided by BlackBerry? Any suggestions on how to fix this is much appreciated!

IBook OS X updates and Safari Streaming Video Hesitations

8/18/2009. Friends, two questions really. First, I have an iBook (2004) with OS X 10.5.4. I think I would like to update with the latest Safari 4.0.1 (or whatever). Its requirements state OS X 10.5.7. Can I just update with OS X 10.5.7 directly or do I need to go through 10.5.5 then 10.5.6 first?? And then install Safari 4.0.1? Second, I can stream videos without interruptions on my PC with Windows XP Professional OS. But on my iBook with Safari, there are frequent interruptions as the iBook struggles to download and keep up. How do I improve this? Do I need to download Adobe Flash Player 10 ? Exchange mail works on iOS 8.1 Mail but not Yosemite Mail?

I have a new email address from a new job, and I have it working fine on my iPhone and iPad both on 8.1
But the exact same settings won't work in Mail on Yosemite on my Macbook Air
Anyone have any ideas why?
This is the error I get on my Air:
The server returned the error: Connections to host webmail.lawtoncommsgroup.com on the default ports failed.
Could not connect to this Exchange Server. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the Account Preferences. Also verify that the server supports SSL. If it does not, deselect the 'Use SSL' checkbox in the Advanced tab of the Account preferences.
My network connection is fine, and all of my other email accounts in Mail are working perfectly - including another one to a different Exchange account for a different job.

I have the exact same issue! Works smooth as butter on iOS 8.1 but not Yosemite... I'm running the pre-seed beta Yosemite update which supposedly fixes some Exchange issues but it hasn't fixed this one!

Can someone help me get Photo Stream to appear under Web in the iPhoto Source List? I have updated all my software. iPhoto 11, Mac OS X 10.7.5 All of my preferences are checked. I am able to see the shared Photo Stream on my iPad, but not my Mac. The Mac iPhoto photos from the shared photo stream are appearing in the Photo Stream (under Recent), but I thought they would appear as a shared Photo Stream in its own file/album (like on the iPad and iPhone) - labeled with the shared Photo Stream's title. I am setting up a website with SSL: https://coalitionportelgin.ca The SSL connection works (and intermediate certificates are retrieved) in Chrome on Linux, OS-X, and Windows 7; ChromeOS; Firefox (18.0) on OS-X and Linux; and Safari on OS-X, iOS, and Windows.
However, I am still getting connection errors on Firefox 18.0 on Windows 7 and on all Android browsers, with "This Connection is Untrusted...because no issuer chain was provided."
This diagnostic tool shows the certificate chain is being pulled, but still reports "Unable to get the local issuer of the certificate. The issuer of a locally looked up certificate could not be found."

Why a video file is able to transfer to my iPad 2 but not my iPhone 4?

I am experiencing a problem that is never happening before. There is a video file (MP4. H.264,AAC) which is normally support by my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 both devices. However when I sync it with my iPad, there is no problem with it at all. The video could play on iPad normally but when i sync the same file with my iPhone on the same laptop and same iTunes database, it is not working! And iTunes pop up a notification thats tell me "the file format is not support for yout iPhone". How could that happen??? I never have this problem before.
It is the matter because of the different iOS version? My iPad 2 is operating iOS 5.1.1 and my iPhone 4 is operating under iOS 4.3.3.
It is wired. Anybody could help me here?

Why are my videos showing up in "Recently Added" but not in TV Shows or Movies?

I didn't have a problem adding videos to iTunes for several months, but now videos are not appearing in the right places. For some reason, they appear in the Recently Added playlist, but they are not showing up in the Movies section (which is where they had all gone before). The video plays fine if I play the file from Recently Added.
The files are mp4 format converted with Handbrake, which I have used for a long time without issue.
2011 iMac OSX 10.7.3 & iTunes 10.6.1 (7)
My research into the issue has found that some users experience metadata info missing from files. I ran some of the recommended programs that automatically add metadata to videos, but still had no luck adding. The issue is with every single mp4 file I add, and it just suddenly started.
If I click "Get Info" on a file, they are listed as being sorted as a Movie. If I change it to TV Show or Music Video then click OK, no changes are saved and file goes no where.
I get no Error Message when adding to iTunes.
I hope I have provided enough information. I'm eager to hear your answers!

Update:
Still having issues getting new videos to show in the "Movies" or "TV Shows" categories of iTunes. However, last night I discovered that Home Sharing on my iPad lists the newly imported videos in the Movies category (iPad & Video app). So, the files aren't corrupt or anything like that. It just seems like I need to 'refresh' the Movies page. Is that possible?
Since I can see the files on the iPad now, I want to remove the extra copies of movies I imported. But, since I can only find them in Playlists, how can I delete them?

Can video chat with Imac non-intel but not with Powerbooks

I have a Linksys WRT54G firmware v. 1.0.6 connected to a Comcast Cable modem. My IMac Intel Duo (OS 10.4.6) is connected via ethernet cable to the router. I am set to DHCP on router and IMac. My Quicktime settings is at 1.5mb, I have tried with firewall off and on with the appropriate ports open. I have tried upnp on and off.
I can connect to other Imacs (non-intel) but not to powerbook G4's. With the Powerbooks I can text chat, but sometimes they can see my text, but I can't see theirs. And every video chat is a fail to respond with the powerbook, but they can connect with others.
Is there anything else I can do?

Do you know how to access your modem ?
This should give you somewhere to turn off DHCP.
Then you go to System Preferences > Network and select the connection method you are using.
Then select the TCP/IP tab.
In the drop down that says Using DHCP change it to Manually. (or Manual with DHCP if doing James' way)
Type the IP you wish to use in the next entry field.
Copy the subnet mask form the Using DHCP
Copy any DNS servers listed.
Copy the router IP address which will be the modem or router in question.
Hit Apply.
Done.

Safari 3.04 with Tiger crashes on page but not Firefox

Safari 3.04 on 10.5.1 crashes on page while Firefox has no problems! Safari with previos OS dir not crash on same page.
