Safari stuck on "Facebook will install" screen when I go to dl any app via safari
I'm a new iPod owner so this might be a dumb question.
I went to install the fb app that came with the iPod touch and it froze on the screen on safari that says "app will install shortly".
I can get to the home screen fine and do everything else normally. Just safari when I go to dl an app.
Also, Idk if its related or not, but for some reason the power button won't shut off the device?
Like I said, I'm new at this lol. I haven't even had the hung two hours yet so I might be missing something you all might know :p

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I realize that the old app is now the music app. I dislike this new app, because an old function is now gone
With iOS 4.3.5, I used to be able to use the the USB hub in my car to charge my iPhone 3GS. It would show the screen that says accessory connected (with the image of an iPod), and then after a few seconds, it would select Hands Free Mode (connect through Bluetooth), and I could browse my music/playlists/etc. Now when I connect my iPhone to my car via the dock connector, all it does is stay at the screen which displays an image of an iPod, and the only action that I have available to me is to choose between dock connector And hands free. I choose hands free, but still, I am no longer free to select which music I want to have playing.
When I disconnect the phone from the USB connection, I am free to select my music, but I must leave it disconnected, because when I reconnect it, the music stops playing, and it goes back to that screen. There isn't even a clear way to get music to start playing on the phone when it is stuck on that screen.
Can the functionality of the music app be restored to that of the old app? I drive a lot, so I charge my phone through the USB connection in my car, and my phone is also my source of music, through the Bluetooth connection (as previously stated). I can no longer charge my phone and select/play music as I once could with 4.3.5 and the iPod application. I don't see anything that i can do from a user's standpoint, however, of anyone can help with this very specific issue, it would be much appreciated.Try resetting the phone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
Seems too early for an iPhone battery to fail. If the problem persists Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -

Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap on the ID and sign out. Then tap on "sign in" and sign in with the correct account.

I got this error after upgrading to new version. After searching these pages for an answer and not finding a usable one, I simply quit and re-opened iTunes, and... voila! Problem solved!

When I try to buy any app or song from iTunes app or app store on iPhone 5 it seems to start the stops and goes back to baseline in a second or two.
It did it with my old iPhone 4 in last month or so, and it I hoped it would go once I updated to new iPhone 5. The problem has transferred to new phone too.
I can't sign in to iTunes account on iPhone. It takes the password then resets to baseline. No error message comes up. On the base computer (pc) it will allow me to sign up and buy songs, apps etc. I can then sync the phone and put them on it. It just won't let me buy direct from the .
As there are no error messages I am at a loss what to do. I have updated the payment details on my account, and my husband has an iPhone 4 and has no such problems. We share the same wifi. I have tried with 3G as well as wifi, with no luck.
I am pretty much out of ideas, and have tried searching forums but there is so much overlap between queries that I can't find a similar problem from someone else, but I am sure it exists!
Can anyone please help me?

I read a solution for something that sounded similar.
Anyone in similar position:
Open iTunes app on iPhone, and pick an option from bottom, such as music. Then scroll down to bottom of page and where your iTunes ID is, press on it, and pick sign out.
Then return to home screen, and double press home button and press and hold on first icon showing, until a minus symbol appears in the top left of icons present. Press on each minus symbol on each app in turn, until all app icons have disappeared. Then Restart the phone by pressing and hold the home button and the on/off/standby button at top of phone, until the apple symbol appears in centre of blank screen.
Swipe to turn phone fully on and open settings and scroll down to iTunes and apps option and tap that. Pick sign in and put in your apple ID, it will accept it and then return to home screen and open iTunes a you'll find it works fine
Simple really, but some like me won't think f this themselves!

I'm signed in to my account on my macbook air's apple store, but when I try to update any apps, it has a locked in apple store user which is not mine. I have no idea where this user came from, but I need to update my apps and get this user off my computer. The users email is locked, it is grey in colour and I can not get it off. I've tried my system settings and the app store, logging in does not change the fact that there is a strange email there. I need help, please! I don't know if this is a hack or what, I brought my computer into the shop to get some work done so it may be their account, I just need the account removed.
You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.

At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test. -

You cannot use a balance from a gift card to purchase another gift. You will have to provide a credit card.
