"Safari too new to work with 10.5.2"??

After booting into my external FW drive I ran DiskWarrior 4.1 on my internal startup volume, letting it do some minor repairs to files and folders. After that, the disk checked out fine in both DiskWarrior and Disk Utility.
When i rebooted into my internal Mac drive, I was unable to open Safari. I get a Safari alert window which says: "Safari cannot open. This version of Safari is too new to work with this version of Mac Os X". (This is Safari 3.04 in Os 10.5.2.)
I dragged across a backup copy of the application and my Safari plist but I still got the same message when trying to launch. I even booted back into my external drive to run some more tests on my internal disk and everything checked out ok. But Safari continued to misbehave when I booted back again.
Any ideas what could be wrong - and how to fix it?

I would recommend you to contact DW tech support and provide the serial number printed on the CD. You must have at least DW 4.1 Revision 42.
Here is an excerpt of a mail I've received from DW:
"The DiskWarrior 4.0 Revision 40 CD cannot start up the new MacBook Pro
models introduced on 06/05/2007, the new iMacs released 08/07/2007, or
the new MacBook or MacBook Pros released on 11/01/2007. Since you have
one of these models you will need DiskWarrior 4.1 Revision 42 CD.
DiskWarrior 4.1 CD Revision 42, which contains an operating system
capable of booting these Mac models, is now available."

What Mac OS version are you running? You can find out by choosing "About this Mac" from the Apple menu on the left side of the menu bar.

Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

and confirm. Test.

If you set up your wi-fi router to establish a network, then both your printer and MacBook Pro will connect wirelessly. *** I do not know what kind of router you possess, I don't want to suggest things that might not be relevant.

Adobe eliminated its "mobile Flash" department. Android, Mobile Windows, IOS, WebOS ... everyone is out of luck.

If there are Acrobat PDF form fields, not jus a space for a form field, then you will have to add them. It would be better to ask the provider of the form to add the fields. If you cannot add the fields, then you can use the add text feature.
Have you looked in the "Tools" panel for the "Forms" category?

Now when that aplication or extention from Itune is working my computor froze to a huge alt. I play video games online and love listening to my music with itune playing in the background and normally was able to have firefox open and a program called ventrillo all working at the same time and now i can barelly have itune and play a game. As soon it start been choppy i just control alt delete wait 5 minute to close down apsdaemon.exe when i'm capable most of the time i have to restart my computor. And why is it so Heavy consuming on the process its memory utility is under the 100ko i believe so why 99% of my processus is been use ?
a good exemple i could give is itune.exe working it shows process 02% for 123 000ko that is light and perfect.

Font Size too small to work with

In the code view, the Font Size is too small to work with and the zoom in/out and magnification are grayed out.
How do I increase the font size so I can see what I'm doing?

HINT: If you switch between Western European and Unicode, be sure to set-up font-sizes for both.

Can a new stylus work with an old Palm?

I have an old - but barely used - Palm M100 that I would like to give to my grandson. But I've lost the stylus. Will any stylus from any newer model work with, and fit into, this old model Palm? I've looked online but no one lists old M100 styli for sale.

Why does new Skype work with one user, and not another?

Running 19.4.5, I installed the latest version of Skype. (I do not activate it on login) This opens, but crshes/unexspectedly quits on "sign in". I tried the same with a "new user", and the app opened fine. I compared the two users to make sure that Skype was correctly featured in my usual user. No difference. Still crashes.
Does anyone have an idea what could be conflicting with Skype?

Right, problem solved! . Am posting this as it may help in future. I use a useful little app called Window Dragon,(a haxie) which helps resize windows with the mouse. This was causing the conflict, but had not with earlier versions of Skype. All I had to do was exclude Window Dragon from working with the new updated version of Skype and everything back to normal.
Solutions to apps that "quit unexpectedly" or crash often mention that haxies can often come into conflict with apps. So best to start with any haxies one has installed, disable, test etc..

Edit as new not working with draft messages?

Occasionally I want to send two similar messages at the same time. I write one message and save it as a draft - usually at this stage without any addresses specified.
I visit the Drafts folder and use Edit as New to open the draft message as what I expect to be a new message, and then make the changes necessary (including a modified subject) to create the second similar message. I then save the second message as a draft.
When I return to the Drafts folder, the second message has overwritten the first. Edit as New does not appear to work correctly in the Drafts folder ......
I can create two similar drafts by starting a completely new message (with Write), and then manually copying the subject & contents of the original draft. However this is a cumbersome process .....
Please can Mozilla be modified so that Edit as New allows multiple draft messages to be created correctly?

I have previously tried using Templates for this issue. However, my messages are usually sent to a mailing list. I have found in the past that the mailing list is expanded when the message is sent, and my templates contained the expanded list (which meant that any addresses subsequently added to the mailing list were ignored).
I don't think I've actually tried creating the template without any addresses, even though this is how I currently work with my drafts. I'll do some more experimenting - it might provide a neat solution to several related problems.

I assume my PB is not USB 2.0 (I can't see how to tell), but that just means the new iPod will sync slower, right? It will work, just slower? Planning to buy one of the video iPods and want to ensure it will work.

The System Requirements for the iPod Nano include a "built-in USB 2.0 port." I see that requirement has been dropped with the iPod Video, and replaced with "built-in USB port (USB 2.0 recommended)." Whether the iPodV will work with a USB 2.0 adapter card, I don't know, but no Tibook has USB 2.0 built in, so an adapter card is the only way you'll get it. It would be worth a try, because data transfer via USB 1.1 is at least 30 times slower than through USB 2.0, and even if the iPod can't use the adapter card, other USB 2.0 peripherals like hard drives and flash drives will.

So I heard that the new Video iPods are USB 2.0. First question, why the **** is apple going away with firewire? Second how does the new 4th generation work with USB 1.0 on an FP iMac? I am sure it is slow but will it work? Still a bit frusterated they arn't firewire....

They haven't said. Perhaps to save space on the iPod.
From everything I've read it seems to be exactly that, as if you compare the dimensions of a FireWire chip to that of a USB chip, the size differences are in general rather great. In addition, although I cannot vouch for this myself, I've read in multiple places that FireWire chips are more expensive to manufacture, therefore this could be yet another reason. Not to mention the obvious one that the majority of iPods users have Windows machines, very few of which are equipped with FireWire. It is kind of a shame that Apple is straying away from FireWire given that in multiple computers that I've tested, syncing via FireWire has proven faster (using my old 4G iPod though of course) however the speed differences are pretty marginal. Finally, the thinness and price of the new iPods truly are amazing given both the 'competition' and previous generation iPods, so it seems to be a fair enough tradeoff.

Isolated Wave too small to work with, how do I increase size

I use wave files I record myself. In the old version of Garageband when I double clicked on the wave in the track window it came up larger and editable. Now it comes up too small and impossible to work with. How can I increase the size of the wave?

What do you mean by "too small"? Are you talking about the way the audio waveform is displayed? You can change the vertical size by changning the height of the Editor window, and horizontally you can zoom in and out using the slider on the lower left edge of the screen.
Or is it that your window is big enough but your waveform is small? That would mean that the audio level of your recording isn't high enough.
