Safari Top Page on Yahoo Game Log Refresh

This may happen at other sites, but Firefox does not do this. When I have a gamelog open and refreshed automatically every 30 seconds, Safari refreshes, but resets to the top of the page. The updated content is at the bottom. Firefox refreshes, but stays at the bottom of the page. Any workarounds?

  • Yahoo loads log in click mail 404 error page not found why?

I upload yahoo site, log in, click 'mail' and am given a '404' error; page not found... This does NOT happen on Chrome or IE, but the pages of yahoo on IE suck and Chrome won't let me have a single toolbar even though there are all sorts of claim you can have one... (sorry) WHY doesn't FIREFOX let yahoo mail load? I LOVE FIREFOX and ALL THINGS MOZILLA, but after I ran into crappy-sappy babylon... it put a toolbar on IE, CHROME and MOZILLA... I had to delete everything associated with them all, get toolbar sweepers and better uninstall programs to weed their junk out and now MOZILLA, FIREFOX, rather warns no one and makes me submit this rather than help

  • I can't download yahoo games. when i do i get a page saying "unknown publisher" won't open

Can't download yahoo games. The Oberon company tells me it is either my windows firewall or my microsoft anti virus.  What can I do to resolve this problem?  Some games do make it through but only a few.   Thanks for the help.

    Hi PonyBoy,
When you see the "unknown" Publisher, does it give you the chance to Click and allow the program to run?  If so, then Click Yes (or some form of the affirmative).
If there is no question of the type described (no chance to download / run the program),
    THEN
You can adjust the settings in Windows Firewall to ask you before blocking new programs.  It can become a pain to answer all the time, so use this setting when you need it and then switch back to normal blocking.
You may need to have administrative control to change the settings - if the settings won't change for you, log in using an account that has Admin rights.
The settings are outlined in this help file:
    Understanding Windows Firewall settings
    The setting you will use:
"Notify me when Windows Firewall blocks a new program" "If you select this check box, Windows Firewall will inform you when it blocks a new program and give you the option of unblocking that program."
    NOTE:
If you are in a Public place (not at home, and not in a safe environment), the Public settings are more restrictive to better protect your computer.  You can change the settings, but you do open your computer to other "nasties" out there - Open /  Change the settings for Public at your own risk.
You didn't say anything about another (non-Microsoft) kind of AV software you might have...
If you have another (additional) Anti-Virus on your computer, there should be rules you can use to change the way incoming traffic is handled.  If you have Norton, it will block things that you've never heard of, it will lock up your computer, it will misbehave.  Nothing can be done about Norton, IMO.  You need a good Anti-Virus program to protect your computer - invest some time and find a decent program.  Avast, AVG (both have free versions), and even Kapersky (pricey and inelegant), are better than Norton.  If Norton is all you have and all you can get - keep it - it's better than nothing and will do some good.
    I hope this helps.

  • The latest safari will not work with yahoo games

I just followed the latest updates from Apple to Safari and now I can't play any Yahoo games. The first notice said to reload Java which I did and it still will not work. I am very dissapointed in Apple for this, being a 20 plus year customer. And there does not seem to be an easy way to figure this out.

Installing the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo) will reinstall any missing system files.
Then restart your Mac and launch Safari.
Then go to Safari > Preferences > Security
    Make sure Java is selected.
It's ok to do this even though v10.7.5 is already installed.

  • The screen where you type in a code to log onto Yahoo games no longer displays fully, so I can't see all of the characters.

Before you can play Yahoo games, you must type in a 4 letter/number code. Suddenly (a few days ago) only about 1/3 of the right-hand side of the screen, where the code appears, is visible and I can't enlarge the screen to see it. So I'm unable to log on to Yahoo games. I haven't done anything different that I'm aware of. Is anyone else having this problem?

mouse over to the bottom right of the screen, click/hold ad drag to the right.. you will see the rest of the characters and be able to enter them. BTW... Which Yahoo game?

  • I get garbled text on web pages using yahoo with Safari 7.0.5

I get garbled text on web pages using yahoo with Safari 7.0.5 and have Maverick 10.9.4.

From the Safari menu bar, select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

  • Is it possible to display a safari web page from my phone to lap top

is it possible to display a safari web page from my phone to lap top?

No, why not use laptop browser to view the page?

  • Safari not always loading pages (especially yahoo mail)

Inconsistent loading of pages, like Yahoo mail, ESPN. Some days they load, some days they don't, while other sites load fine. As a relatively new Mac user, thought it may have been a Mac issue but after discussing with friend and in-law, who both have Macs and can load very site, all the time, well, I'm not so sure anymore.
    Suggestions? Tips?
We love our iMac. Used happily by whole family but internet/Safari issue is frustrating. Running Leopard, internet is wireless.

  • Safari suddenly only loading Yahoo spoof page

I'm concerned I may have a worm or something in my iPhone. Suddenly today I am unable to load any page except a page featuring Yahoo searches and Facebook, but the web address is a bunch of numbers and letters. I didn't do anything odd with my phone today. I was wondering if I should re-sync my phone, but I'm afraid if I've got a virus or worm or something it'll infect my computer. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I'd greatly suggest contacting 800-My-Iphone. If you're outside of your warranty that's ok, they will still talk if it's just a general question. They may be able to send you some links to help topics that have already been covered by that?
Sorry I wasn't of more help, that's the only info I have.

  • Yahoo Games Font un-readable

Hey all, I have no idea what has happened to my safari but when I try to go to a yahoo games page, such as pool. I end up getting some weird font and the game is totally unplayable. how can I change the font that the safari uses while using java to I can read it?
heres a screen shot of what Im talking about:
    http://sketchstudios.net/crap/yahoo-font-safari.jpg
any help would be most appriciated
notes: I also tried to update my java and that didnt work.

    Alexander,
If you're using Tiger 10.4.8 or later you should have upgraded to Java for Mac OS X 10.4 Release 5. If you're unsure which Java version you have, open Terminal and enter at the prompt:
    java -version
If the latest version is installed you should see: java version "1.5.0_07"
One thing you might try for the font trouble... Under Utilities > Java > J2SE 5.0, double-click on Java Preferences and make sure the "Smooth all text in Java applets" box is checked.
If you have the earlier Java 1.4.2 version installed, there's a similar font smoothing check box in its preferences.
See if that has any effect... Good luck!

  • Safari won't open Yahoo

    Safari 5.0.5 --I go to Yahoo mail--log in--all OK--but next get this:
    "Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “http://us.mc307.mail.yahoo.com/mc/welcome?.gx=1&.tm=1309088600&.rand=cjvf8l3v7td om” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again"
This just started happening one day. I repaired permissions, disabled all extensions, got new Safari plist--nothing made any difference. Firefox connects with no trouble. Occurred both before and after 10.6.8 update. No trouble at any other website.
    Any ideas would be appreciated--thanks!
    iMac--Intel--Snow Leopard 10.6.8

Firefox connects with no trouble. Occurred both before and after 10.6.8 update. No trouble at any other website.
That narrows it down to Safari and Yahoo.
Go to your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab. Click: Show Cookies
    Delete all Yahoo cookies.
Now empty the Safari cache, from the menu bar, click Safari / Empty Cache.
Restart your Mac, try Safari / Yahoo.

  • Yahoo Games - sometimes I can get in, sometimes I can't

Too often - maybe 1/3 of the time, when I try to get into Yahoo games using Safari 3.2.1. I get an error message reading: "Unable to connect to server. One of four things could have caused this: 1) You are behind a firewall. 2) You are not connected to the Internet. 3) The games server is down. 4) You have a stale page in your cache."
I enable or disable pop-ups, makes no difference. I empty the cache, makes no difference. I switch to Fire fox and get right in. Next time I try it with Safari it either works or it doesn't. It's intermittent. But Firefox always gets me in without problems.
Any ideas what the Safari problem might be?

Yahoo is working on the site and there have been problems getting into Games. Other current problems are: not being able to leave Comments on News articles; not being able to review moview; many email problems. You can't fix it (in most cases). You have to wait until Yahoo finishes their yearly upgrades and maintenance.
