Safari 'Unexpectedly Quits' on launch..

Hello,
for the last hour and a half I've been having a problem where whenever I launch Safari, the window opens for a split second, then the 'quit unexpectedly' message appears.
How it all started: I seem to have authorized (put admin pass) on a prompt box asking to install software (I believe this installed an add-on that may be crashing safari). A name wasn't provided. I have tried using Safari in safe mode, and it worked.
I have also tried using safari on another user account. It did not work there either.
I have tried removing all /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ files
and all ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ files.
I am currently writing this from safe mode and as such it will be hard to post a crash log.
Please help I need a solution quickly...

Genieo Adware is installed.  Removing it will help.
If you have another browser installed, use it.
If not, launch App store and get another  browser for temporary use.
Remove it afterwards.
1. Use  free  AdwareMedic by clicking “Download ” from here
    http://www.adwaremedic.com/index.php
    Install , open,  and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button   to remove adware.
    Once done, quit AdwareMedic by clicking AdwareMedic in the menu bar and selecting
    “Quit AdwareMedic”.
               or
    Remove the adware  manually  by following the “HowTo” from Apple.

2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
     Turn those off and relaunch Safari to test .
     Turn those on one by one and test.
3. Safari > Preferences >  Search > Search Engine :
    Select your preferred   search engine.
4. Safari > Preferences > General > Homepage:
     Set your Homepage.
