Safari update does not access some web sites

I just did the latest Mac update, the Safari, Quicktime,Itunes update. And now Safari does not allow me to access my own Flash based web site. It says it's loaded 3 of 4 and then just stops, no error message, nothing, just a blank page.
And worse I am not the only person having this problem, several other people on Macs, in different parts of the country, and using Safari also can not access my site. However Firefox has no problem on my computer or theirs. Worse still, I am traveling and will be away for several weeks more and it's the holidays which is a key time for my website as it is an important sales tool for my business. There haven't been any changes to the website itself for over a year. I guess I just won't be expecting any business from Mac users this Christmas........
Also other websites seem to have loading issues as well.
I used to look forward to Apple updates as they USED to improve the performance of my computer, however the last two updates caused severe problems to a computer that had been working perfectly.

Hello,
I'm afraid that site doesn't work either for me with Safari 3.0.4 on OS X 10.4.11.
The page appears to load but only displays a blank page.
The W3C (web standards consortium) validation tool shows a few errors with the site: [validation results|http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=www.kosoff.com&charset=%28detect+auto matically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0]

  • Since upgrading to 3.6.12 FF does not access any web site at all

I have completely uninstalled it (lossing bookmarks, codes and all the stuff) and reinstall it again but the same problem occured. When I try to update via the Help menu it shows the error message that installation has not completed properly and the update file XML (200) is corrupted. When I try to update manually nothing changes. Please note that I use the Greek version. Does anyone have any ideas to help me?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

Since I updated my IPad software to iOS 5.0.1 from 5.0, I cannot access some web sites. How can I go back?

Sorry, you cannot downgrade iOS software.
First thing to try is a reboot of your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appear. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I have ipad with IOS 7,  Some apps doesn' t work, safari not open some web site. What can I do?

Try this and see if it helps.
    Settings>Safari>Clear cookies and data.
Now close Safari completely. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then "swipe up" or "drag up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Internet explore can not open some web site!!

Internet explore cannot open some web site including yahoo game.
whenever opening it, it says that i need to download java virtual machine
and it leads me to Microsoft to download MS virtual machine
but after intalling it, the problem does not disappear.
Some people suggest that using opera, but it is not working, either!!
What is the problem? Does anyone know the solution?
    Please reply me!!

    Hi,
Internet explore cannot open some web site including yahoo game. whenever opening it, it says >that i need to download java virtual machine and it leads me to Microsoft to download MS virtual
machine but after intalling it, the problem does not disappear.Explorer not opening some web sites indicated that you are not able to open those sites which
do have applets in homepage, probabily you are able to download the applet but that cannot be
executed due to lack of environment(JVM).Although the Explored does have the inbuilt JVM but
I believe in the latest versions they are not providing.
i hope yours is not that case. The other alternative can be explorer getting corrupt or change
in the setting(which I believe you must not have changed)
See if the application comes on different machines explorer.

  • Why Software Updater does not install some updates automatically?

QuestionWhy Software Updater does not install some updates automatically?
AnswerSoftware Updater only installs security-related updates automatically. Non-security-related updates, and service packs installation are required to be initiated manually via the Software updates tab under the Policy Manager Console.
In Policy Manager 12, a checkbox Show non-security-related updates has been introduced under the Policy Manager Console > Software tab. Unchecking the checkbox hides the following update types:
    Microsoft security tools
    Non-security updates
    Service packs
Note: This checkbox is Policy Manager Console-specific setting. If you change the setting in one Policy Manager Console, it would not affect another Policy Manager Console connected to the same Policy Manager Server.

Presumably FOTA not an option for your 5800XM?

  • Can't access some web sites with safari

Can't access financial web site since time before last of safari update. Any help?

In my original post, not today's, I had said I was having the issues on the Mini, running OSX 10.6.8 and Safari v.5.1.5 for my bank's pill pay. I should have been more specific as to which machine and OSX Safari browser I'm having the T-Mobile problem with. My mistake.
It is on both the MacMini and now the Air too. A moment ago, I was able to log in to my.t-mobile.com on the Air, but after putting into my Bookmarks folder, I can't do it anymore. The Log in button comes up greyed out instead of green.
I'm also still having trouble with my bank's bill pay section on both computers too.
I wonder if it's related to the saving of the log in info or putting in the Bookmark Folder?

  • What is missing when I get a blank white screen when I try to Access some web sites?

On some web sites, I get a blank white screen when I try to access them.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

  • I bought my ipad mini in the UK and it worked fine, I live in Cyprus and since being back i can not access any web sites

My web browser( Google ) home page appears but when i type in the web address it does not access them it just constantly appears to be loading.
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks

there are a lot of complaints here about wifi issues with the ipad mini - all seam to deal with 3rd party routers. you might want to check these Threads out.
did you delete the wifi network on your ipad and reconnect? Are you using WPA2? Did you select TKIP/AES or only one of them? Does your ipad get an ip address?

  • Can't access some web sites with version 4.0

I recently installed version 4.0 and am in test phase of the server.
With or without ACL's turned on, I can't access the following web site
    https://www.sunnet.sunlife.com/member/signin/index.asp?
    or
    https://www.sunnet.sunlife.com/member/
In Internet Explorer, it sits on a blank page with the little world logo spinning around until it finally times out after a few minutes. I've tried accessing these sites with both IE6 and IE 5.5 and get the same problem.
As a footnote, the web access to these sites works fine with our current Web Proxy version 3.6.
Does anyone have any ideas why this isn't working through the new Proxy 4.0?
    Thanks

I did some additional testing through Proxy 4. All web sites and web pages including secure sites that I tried accessing over the past couple of days all appear to work fine with the exception of the forementioned sites. Access to these specific web pages (which I cannot currently access) are part of our day-to-day business requirements, and therefore will prevent me from using Proxy version 4.0 as our production proxy unless I can figure out why these web pages won't load, and how to fix the problem.
As an experiment, I tried to access these web pages through Proxy 4 with Mozilla FireFox and Netscape 7. None of these web browsers (including Internet Explorer) will bring up these web pages when going through Proxy 4. But bypassing the proxy or going through our v3.6 proxy works fine for these web pages everytime, and with all browsers. This leads me to believe that this web page access problem is not a browser specific problem, but something in Proxy 4 isn't processing the request to display the page properly.
As a reference, the web site in question is http://www.sunlife.ca. On the left hand side of the page go to "Sign In" then "Plan Members". Thats where the request hangs through Proxy 4 no matter which browser I use, including Netscape... but works perfectly fine with Proxy v3.6.
Can someone who is running a version 4 Proxy also please try to access the SunLife Members login page and see if it works or fails for you?
    Thanks

  • Double click select all does not work in web site's search area after going back.

After updating from Firefox ESR v24.8.1 to v31.20 double click select all does not work in a search area after going back or searching again with the same input. It happens before clicking search icon and searching for something else double click select all does not work except it works for one word that's all.
This issue is with all new Firefox ESR and None ESR I have tried. Also the issue is on all web sites like www.softpedia.com for example.

Bugzilla has a different login system, unfortunately.

  • Can not access local web sites

    Hi,
on my Mac Mini running Lion I cannot access any local web site
    Normally, entering
    http://localhost/~shortname/
would ad least show the index.html page located in the sites (Websites on German systems) folder, which I still can display w/o the webserver running by clicking on it)
However, I get the error message:
"you don't have permission to access /~shortname/ on this server"
This happens in Mountain Lion too, where I started the web server using the Web Sharing preference pane from
    http://clickontyler.com/blog/2012/02/web-sharing-mountain-lion/
Any idea? I need this badly, because I am doing some little web dev
    Thank you

Solved it, turned on FTP on Mountain Lion,
    sudo -s launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ftp.plist

  • After 6 months can not access some web pages

I can not get several web pages to work when I pull them up. Like Comcast, the main page comes up but not the current TV listings.

Unfortunately this hasn't worked either. I did this several times, after deleting cache files and repairing permissions. Do you think the issue is something that the ISP could address?
Another issue has appeared: I'm unable to login to a site that a friend has constructed; he assures me that when he uses the same login information on his mac there's no access problem. When I try, the login fields just reappear, without what I've entered.
    Any ideas are appreciated!

  • Firefox 4 does not allow me to organize book marks and does not automatically fill web sites I start to type.

Since upgrading to Firefox 4 I no longer have the option to organize bookmarks. Also when I start to type a website and I click on the suggestions that appear as I start to type... they do not appear in the space where I have started to type. This did not happen with my previous verion of Firefox. Everything worked perfectly.

Thank you Tony E... it did solve my book mark problem... but do you know why Foxfire 4 does not fill in websites they suggests to the area where I start to type in a search.
For instance I might start to type in Firefox to indicate that I want to go to the Firefox web site. But before I start to finish typing Fir... a box pop up with the suggestion Firefox. If I click on this suggestion it should fill the area I am typing and take me to the Firefox web site.
Unfortunately it does not do this now... they way it used to do before... in the older version of Firefox.
