Safari Version 6.0.3 sign in not working
I just updated to Safari Version 6.0.3 (8536.28.10) and now every time I go to a site requiring sign in, it takes me to the sign up page instead of just logging me like it use to! Why? Please help me fix or please send a fix!

Updated version installed and enabled, still does not work.
I have installed the latest version of Adobe Flashplayer for internet explorer 11, does not work, tried unistalling using unistall tool then reinstalling, still does not work, disabled All security software and Firewall, tried reinstalling, still does not work, made sure scripting was allowed, reinstalled, still does not work, Tried installing active X version, still does not work. Manually went into program files, deleted Abobe Flash program, reinstalled still does not work. Used cleaning and registry repair tools, still does not work, unistalled then used cleaning registry tools, reinstalled, still does not work, tried older versions of Adobe Flashplayer, still does not work. Watched and followed Youtube video's on how to reair Adobe flash, still does not work. Tried disabling then unistalled and reinstalled, then enabled again, still does not work. Used the adobe Check from adobe website after uninstalling and reinstalling at least twenty times, still shows NOT Installed or enabled, downloaded again from adobe site, still not working, showing either not installed or enabled, check wether enabled or not, still enabled, went under Downloads on my computer, download is there, looked under programs, Adobe is in program menu on computer, still does not work. Any ideas? Anyone? I have tried everything, it just will not work no matter what I do.

Message was edited by: TiggerdadThis is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released their latest "untested" browser. The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
Firefox (from Mozilla)
Opera (from Opera)
Safari (from Apple)
Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in. -
My machine is Top of the range (my Company builds them so it had better be :) )
Amd 1100t , 8gb ram , Windows 7 64 bit etc, etc...
The is not a hardware problem , but a software problem with FF...Any help would be appreciated as I hate using IE 8 for anything at all :( but I have to keep it on my machines just to run my remote security cameras at my Computer shop ???

"My DVR security sofware that I access remotely uses a "dvr .ocx" file....when I try it in Firefox , either the latest non beta (3.6.1.5) or the new beta version (4.0 rc) it will NOT work as it says the plugin is missing... it works in IE 8 (unfortunately) but not IE9...
As I own a Computer company I am fairly computer literate but cannot find a plugin that allows this to work in Firefox.... but I would have expected it to work in the new Firefox :(

If you recently purchased this then it is not likely to be a valid sale/purchase. Adobe does not sell older versions of their products and no one but Adobe provides student/teacher licensing. If you purchased this some time years ago and it is only recently that you find you are not able to reactivate it with the original serial number you can try contacting Adobe Support thru chat and see if they will be willing to work with you to resolve this.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (If this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error. -

Use your Software Update under the Apple menu, it SHOULD bring Safari up to 5.1.9 on OS X 10.6.8.
Apple IS issuing security and other updates for Snow Leopard users.
OS X 10.4/10.5 need to upgrade, 10.6.8 ok still
Safari 6+ is only for 10.7+ users as OS X is morphing into iOS.
10.7 and 10.8 will not run your PPC based apps of 10.5/10.6
If Software Update is not working, then you have other issues, backup your users folders off the machine to a external storage drive (not TimeMachine!) and run through this list of fixes.

I have website that on the Home page and the home only. When opened in Chrome or Safari the last 3 menu buttons do not work. But work fine in Explorer and Firefox.Its weird. The site is baystatewiring.com see if you have the same problem. Does anyone have a idea?

when i finally connected my mac to work network on windows environment everything related to apple including App store, Safari, software updates, iCloud and iTunes do not work using a proxy server and everything else is working very well including chrome browser…i tried everything but no clue...anybody have solution for this..???
I also forgot to note that this problem also persists with the new iBooks application. I cannot get past the 'Get Started' screen or access the iBooks Store. Again, all top bar menus are unresponsive.

Saving "Sign in" not working in Firefox but okay using MS Explorer
Do you mean names and passwords in the Password Manager or do you mean that you are no longer logged on to (remembered by) websites after closing and restarting Firefox?<br />
There is a difference between remembering the name and password in the Password Manager and a "remember me" check box on a web page.<br />
The latter usually involves the creation of a special "remember me" cookie that is stored on your computer and that is send to the server.<br />
If that "remember me" cookie is removed or gets corrupted or is not send to the server then the server won't remember you and you need to sign in once again.<br />

I can not download the last Iphoto update that I already purchased it by app store, and in the actual version 9.4.3 it does not work the sending photos by e-mail.

Finally the Iphoto 9.5 was installed...any way ..I had to go to app store to purchase it because the previous version did not updated autimatically... only shoed me that there is a new version ...but it guided me to the app store to purchase it.... and I did it because I did not know that the up date was free...and the sistem did not adviced me about that...
I have the last up date of os x 10.9 already...
in this new version I have no problem to send the photos by e-mail... but in the previous one it allways showed me an error message like ¨I should try later because the server does not work¨ but I tryed with 4 differents e-mail account that worked perfectly in the app Mail.
any way, this new version is ok..

Safari prefs open Pages in Tabs "Always" not working??
For some reason Safari "open pages in tabs"+"always" setting has just stopped working. Tabs can be created by opt-clicking, or from within the tab menu bar but NOT by clicking on a link in a page - which it used to. I have deleted Safari plist and cache but no luck. I have made numerous changes in the prefs menu and saved and reset and relaunched Safari but it does not work. I used to be able to open every link into a new tab just by clicking but this has just stopped happening and there was no new software added to Safari. Restart of machine does not help either. Any clues? Thanks and cheers! Sam
Reinstalling the same version of Safari would have no effect. What I'm asking is whether there was a change in the behavior of the same version (not the same copy.) If there was, please link to a page that exhibits the change and specify exactly what it is.
It's normal for Safari not to open all links in a new window, regardless of settings. The effect of that setting is to open pages in a new window when the page code calls for them to open in a new tab. That's all. -

Quit the Safari app completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
