Safari webpage problems?

lately, safari has had problems loading certain sites ( 790theticket.com , and the standard view of gmail are 2 examples) yet those sites open in firefox. Im not sure if its a flash player problem... or something wrong with safari?

its hard to explain, but certain things will not load.. like on 790theticket.com, the front of the page that has 6 things rotating, does not appear..gmail will not load the standard view, only the html version... cnnsi.com will not load the "main story" with the picture, only the side items.. i have a feeling it has something to do with flash player or something like that.. the only thing that gives me pause is that it works on firefox, just not on safari

  • IPhone 6 plus ios8 safari webpage problems

Is anyone having a problem with iOS 8 to where it's hard to click on a button or text field on the webpage and some of the images are misaligned and grainy looking? I downloaded the Mercury browser on the app store and it works fine just think its a safari problem on iPhone 6 and
For example take a look at http://www.hellfirearmory.com the main logo is discolored on the iPhone 6 plus but is ok on other devices like iPad and such.

    Hi extreme2low,
If you are having issues with Safari not working properly on your iPhone, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

  • Runaway PubSubAgent & Safari Webpage Preview Fetcher

Hi-- I'm on 10.6.2 still (well, again, because 10.6.3 killed my Pro Tools system), and PubSubAgent regularly starts to runaway with ~97% of my processor. I kill it with Activity Monitor & all's well again for a while, until it decides it's the most important thing on my computer again a few hours later.
I gather this is a part of Mail, related to RSS feeds? Does anyone have a suggestion for how I can calm it down?
I also get this same problem with the Safari Webpage Preview Fetcher sometimes, though less often.
    thanks

  • Zooming Safari webpages automatically

I struggling  to find the best way to zoom Safari webpages automatically. I have used an extension called AllPagesZoom but when used on Youtube pages
I'm unable to drag player scrolls properly and some radio button problems too.
I have seen a solution using CSS Style Sheet to zoom but it didn't work for me. I'm wondering if there may be a solution where auto zoom is as simple as in
    Chrome browsers.

I actually got it working now. My mistake.
The CSS Style Sheet zooming method works now.

  • Safari webpage preview fetcher

i'm having a problem with safari (latest version) When it run there is a process called "safari webpage preview fetcher" which takes up 1.31 GB of Ram memory and it's always running. My mac has got 2GB of RAM so it's slow.
I sent it to Apple, but I have not received a response.
    Thanks.

    HI,
"preview fetcht" is a process that "fetches" TopSites previews.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Empty your cache and Reset Safari once a week.

  • How to permanently stop Safari Webpage Preview Fetcher process?

Since the Safari Webpage Preview Fetcher process takes up to 10% of my CPU on occasion and and it uses bandwidth and it's just dumping loads of images into ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.safari/Webpage Previews is there a way to permanently stop this process from ever starting up again?
I've blocked it with Little Snitch to see if it that stops it but I don't think it has. Has anyone successfully stopped this process for the long term?

i'd like to permanently stop that as well.

  • How do I show Safari webpage from my apple computer to appletv

I just bought apple tv and am trying to display the safari webpage from my MacBook onto the apple tv monitor.  I tried selecting the airplay in my itunes account but that doesn't seem to help with Safari.  Any advise?  Thanks

    Hi caleb979!
The best way to show a page from Safari on your Apple TV will be by using Airplay Mirroring. I have an article for you that can help you understand more about Airplay Mirroring, and it can be found right here:

Safari Crash - Problem with doodle (planer) app  -  doodle web links cause safari to crash with a very strange message "Error - Please make sure Safari is not used in Private Modus" (translated from german) No Privat Modus buttom in ios 7 safari settings! Works fine with an older Safari Version. Web link, call doodle app.  You could see the website in the backround working but safari crashes after clicking on the error window.   Any suggestions?

    Turn off Private Browsing.
Tap "Private" on Safari Screen to disable Private Browsing. When top of screen is white, Private Browsing is off.

  • Safari webpage preview fetcher high CPU usage, runs hot Macbook Pro, fan

Even when turned off in Safari Preferences, safari webpage preview fetcher starts up and starts using high CPU % (99.8% when checked on Activity Monitor!). Macbook starts running hot, fan starts running on high. You can force quit safari webpage preview fetcher in Activity Monitor, but it starts itself back up again!

Well, I disabled safari webpage preview in preferences, and rebooted, zapping the pram and it hasn't restarted, and I haven't had the high fan / hot running so yay!

    Hi ..
    Better to troubleshoot Yosemite.
Not enough free storage space can slow your Mac down.
Click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage. Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.   OS X Tips Where did my Disk Space go?
As for Safari, might be a cookies, cache, extensions, or plug-ins issue.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
    Click:   Remove All Website Data
    Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect:  Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

  • Safari & JavaScript Problems

On some websites, I cannot use scripted buttons etc. This is true in all browsers (Safari, Firefox, IE, etc.). I have no problems with my Windows machine. Is there a setting I can change or an add-in that might let me use these sites? I'm not getting any errors in Java, so I'm assuming it's a compatability issue between OSX and the Java being used. Any help would be appreciated because I now have to use my PC to access certain sites (and I have to use them for work).

This is from my similar Safari problems a few months back. It may apply to your Java problems.
I confirmed that it's my Tiger Safari failure to handle Java Applets that is giving me troubles. Java scripts are OK.
Relief, my Safari Java problem is solved. I got the clue to the cause in an Apple discussion, a chap in Germany using Panther had the identical problem.
The problem was caused by older Internet Plugins contained in my UserID>Library>Internet Plugins.
These plugins take priority over the Internet Plugins contained in HD>Library>Internet Plugins.
So removing the duplicate older Internet Plugins from UserID>Library>Internet Plugins corrected the Java applet problem. I had more duplicate Plugins there than the Java ones.
This happened because when doing a clean install I selected to copy over my UserID from the previous Jaguar system, a logical thing to do to carry my files and settings forward.
But bringing forward the Internet Plugin Folder is obviously a big problem for those bringing forward their UserID when installing MacOS X.
Here is a very good site to test your browsers handling of Java Scripts and Applets.

  • How to capture a Safari webpage beyond the screen boundary?

While doing research, I make screenshots on OS X Safari very often.  Many webpages go down beyond the screen.  Is there any utility that can capture a whole webpage which goes beyond the height (or width) of the screen?

Hi there, I think the shortcut keys can help to do so. Cmd+Shift+4+Space bar will definitely capture the Safari webpage. If u tried it n still not working regarding the screen boundary, then u’d better read the tutorial first, it indicates the ways to do Mac OS X screen capture. Hope it helps.

  • Safari/DSL Problem

    Safari/DSL Problem
I’m having a problem with my home DSL network when I hookup a 5.8 GHz digital cordless phone/answering system. Safari will not pull up my home page when I plug in the answering system my SBC DSL network stops functioning. My Mac network consists of an E-Mac running OS 10.3.9 hard wired thru Ethernet cable to an Asante FR1004 Internet router. Also connected to the Asante Router is the Apple Airport Extreme Base Station. The Asante Router is hooked up to the SBC to Speedstream 5100 Ethernet ADSL Modem, which is hard wired to the phone line. I have 3 phones hooked to the phone line each phone has a DSL Filter model Z-330P2J. Any would be appreciated.

Hi ccrushe, Welcome to Apple's Users Help Users Forums.
1] The answering system must have a DSL Filter on it.
2] Move the answering system to a different room, ie, away from the computer.
Try BBR, Broadband Reports / SBC general Forum, or ATM = All Things Mac.
    Good Luck. JP
