Safari website data history for iPhone 4

How far back is website data for safari saved? Would it have website data from before the big iPhone update a few months ago?

I know the history only goes back for a weeks or so, but I am talking about website data from safari. To get to it you go to settings, then safari, then advanced settings. It lists how much data you have downloaded from each website. I am sure website data goes back farther than that because I can see website data from a website that I used for school 3 or 4 months ago.

if you have other device and they are signed into icloud with the same apple id and safari is turned on. Safari will share the history and bookmarks between devices thru the cloud.

Safari website data repopulates

So, I want to clear the website data from my iPhone. I go to Settings|Safari|Advanced|Website Data and select Remove All Website Data. 30 minutes later, I go back to look and it's all there, as if I didn't clear it.
Anyone know why?

It looks like after over nine hours of investigation I may have found the solution. Get rid of Avast Anti-Virus!
It seems to be something to do with thier web shield preventing conection to the net. Also one of my mail accounts turned out to be affected aswell.
Turning off thier web shield and mail shield has cured the problem but now I have less protection than before, so i will go back to using Sophos and Bit Defender and stop looking for a perfect solution to security. The grass always looks greener they say, but not in this case.

Hi all. I'm running Yosemite on a late 2013 iMac. In Safari Preferences under Privacy there is a button labelled 'Remove All Website Data'. Under this is a line which says 'x websites stored cookies or other data' and a button labelled 'Details...'
My issue is that as I watch the screen, the value of x constantly changes. It is cycling through the values 11, 6 and 12. Sometimes the text disappears altogether, implying that no website data is stored. If I click on 'Details...' a window opens displaying list of websites, but this list is also constantly changing. Sometimes it is empty, then as far as I can tell it contains 11, 6 or 12 items.
How is this? It looks like Safari is accessing 3 or more different cache files, but why?
If I clear all the data the behaviour repeats once I've browsed a couple of sites.

The data you see listed there is cached data from websites you have visited. Cached data is data that is downloaded off the Internet and kept on your device so if you visit that page again it would load faster. Therefore, yes, the websites are from websites you have visited.

I would like some help to find out how to ressurect the message history for messages that I have received on my phone and never backed up anywhere. The messages have dissapeared by themselves, without having me deleting them or changing any default settings. Please help me to get the message history back.

Apple does not sell parts. You may be able to find something out there, but what you will get is either something stripped from a damaged phone, a knockoff, or marginal parts that failed factory inspection and are now being illegaly sold.

When Safari 4 is ready for iPhone?

I noticed that with Sarafi old version (pre 4.0.2), the real time stock data from one broker's website always had 10-20 minutes delay. But IE and Firfox don't have such problem. This problem shows in both Safari Windows version and iPhone version. But Safari 4.0.2 sounds have fixed this problem.
Just wondering, When iPhone can have an updated Safari version like 4.0.2? The old version is really a pain for mobile trading user.

Data recovery for Iphone 4s that was wiped

Hello forum.
Thank you for taking the time to review my question. I have an Iphone 4s that a client wiped (reset) The phone is currently in set up mode. My client had data (photos, notes, contacts) that were NOT backed up and were on the phone, prior to unintentional wipe. I can see that the DCIM folder has data in it, but when I look in the folder I see nothing. ( I am using iexplorer software to view the iphone folder structure on my PC. If you are connected to wifi at home or elsewhere you shouldn't be using any of your Verizon cellular data. I say shouldn't because there are a number of posts/threads on this forum where customers are reporting glitches with their iPhones and they indicate they are being charged data when on wifi.

Update my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5 looks like it up dated fine but now phone has on service how do I fix this.

My iPhone 3gs was doing that after I updated also. I believe I may have fixed mine. I did a backup to iTunes, then I did a reset through iTunes (takes forever) then after that was done I right clicked where it says my phone in iTunes and hit Restore from backup, it is very important that you do not let the computer go to screen saver or to sleep during this process, I eventually had to change my computer's setting for this because it interrupts the process. And voila! It fixed mine, and I got to keep all my media, except the ringtones, they will have to be re set to your contacts individually, if you had them like that in the first place! Hope this helps!!! An now I haven't noticed any irregular battery drainage!

Is Website Data and Freq. Visited Accurate?

My partner is very offended by **** yet he has at least 6 on his website data and had a site (KindGirls) on his frequently visited sites show up. He denies all of it though I said it was best to admit rather than not. He is very against all of that (he says) and doesn't know why they are in the website data or showing up as frequently visited. He's only had phone 2 months or so and laptop is windows so icloud sharing. He does use google and has a gmail account. Is he being truthful or is there any chance it is not accurate? All my website data history is accurate on all devices.

Its not different. Clearing Cookies and Data in one fell swoop from the settings clears all of it at once. You also have the option of clearing cookies or any of the website data individually in the Advanced settings.
If you were having a problem with one particular website, you could go into the Advanced settings and clear the data for just that one site if you wanted to do so, or clear the data for selected websites. When you do it from the Clear Cookies and Data setting - you clear all of it at once, for all websites that you have visited.
