Hi I am using iOS 7.0.2 but I have a problem with safari on the iPad 4 it works ok but if I refresh a page it sometimes doesent show it shows the blue loading bar and then goes quickly and doesn't show the we page I dint have this problem in iOS 6 but I have to close the tab and reopen it and type the website again to show the page sometimes it doesent show the web page even if I click on a link and it takes be to site but doesent show please fix it
Try clearing you History.
Settings > Safari > Clear History
If that doesn't clear up the problem do it a second time then also Clear Cookies and Data.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Well my problem is that when i press publish everything works UNTIL i go on visit. Here the disaster starts and so Safari gives me the message that it cannot open this website...
It is not an Internet problem OR that my .mac account does not have the full version or something.

Problem with video progress indicator in Safari on iOS 8
When watching a video in Safari, the progress bar fills all the way to the end, not showing how much of the video must still load. In addition to this, when the video reaches the point to where it was downloaded, the drag button continues to move forward, and the pause button doesn't become a play button (indicating that the video has paused). When clicking the pause button, it turns to play, and when clicking play, the drag button on the progress bar then jumps back to where the video stopped. All in all very buggy, and extremely annoying, as I do not have a fast internet connection and need to rely on the progress bar to see if the video has loaded!
My question: How do I report this bug?I am having the same problem. I believe it is a bug in Safari. I have other apps that run videos on the normal ios 7 player which I can see the progress of that video. So the problem is in the new layout of video player in ios 8.

Anyone have the problem I'm having with the Safari collecting cookies even when I'm not on a website? I cleaned everything out and checked several times. Each time cookies were added that I've never seen with my older version of Safari. I have the block third parties and advertisers but I don't think it works. Here's a sample of what is popping up: 247realmedia.com, 2mdn.net addthis.com, admeld.com, adsafeprotected.com, adsonar.com, bit.ly, bluekai.com, bluelithium.com, bluetoad.com bondware.com.......... over 100 things without a clue where they are coming from. Hi. I just upgraded my iPad 2 to the new iOS 6, and now a website that I use all the time for school is crashing every time I open it to get to my classes and assignments. This is very frustrating since I use my iPad frequently during school. I've already tried rebooting my iPad and closing all applications, and clearing cookies in Safari, nothing has fixed this so far. I feel like it must be related to the update since this did not happen before yesterday when I updated. :( please help!
The problem is with facebook, go to settings / facebook / your user name and delete your account, the do a hard reset (home+power for some seconds).
dont need to delete the facebook app! just delete your integrate account from settings

These issues have been evident since the new Apple 5.1.1 iOS update.

ImtiI encountered problems with the volume of my Ipad 3.
1) Except when I use skype and "Talking Babies", there is no sound coming out of speakers in all applications specially video and music.
2) There is sound when I use the ear phones but will malfunction after a few minutes.
I think this is really a software problem because if it is a hardware issue then the speakers would not work at all. Am I correct?
I hope Apple will have an option to revert back to the old IOS in case the updated software is more of a problem than a solution.
We should be enjoying the New Ipad and not wanting to smash it to the wall! -
IOS 8.1.2 safari battery usage
Ever since updating to iOS 8.1, my iPad battery life has declined to the point that i have to recharge every day.
the only things i use my iPad for are safari, Facebook, google play books, stock music app, and youtube.
I've checked battery usage, and safari has 90 percent of the battery usage.
i have also factory reset the device, tried to keep screen brightness below 50 percent, and shut all apps, but that makes no difference.
i have also updated to iOS 8.1.2, and it made no difference.
am also considering a nexus 9i have same problem, than battery percentage jump from 60 to 45 e in this way my problem is very bud. ios 8 last update is installed on my iphone 5. i think that it is a bug software, and i think this because i called apple support and diagnostic realt time with operator say that my battery life is better. and after home button bug fixed with ios 8.1 now i have this. this ios 8 is the worse update ever.

safari, chrome and firefox cannot verify identity of secure websites after upgrading to 10.7.4, apple engineers have tried multiple things including operating system with no success
There are several threads about this problem, most notably one called 'Invalid Certificates' is over 4 pages long. Many of us have experienced difficulty connecting to banking and other secure sites. On my Macbook Pro, I cannot get to my banking site with any browser, however I can get there on my iMac using Safari, but get the 'Invalid Certificate' notice with FF and Chrome. The problem started after the installation of 10.7.4. I have sent a message to Apple--they will be dismayed to hear that I cannot complete an order at their online store!

Unless your bank's website is insecure, you're fine. Go up to the Safari "Search" bar and type in Rapport. You'll be amazed. It may "work" on PCs, but definitely not Macs. And it's not needed for Macs. -
I recently updated my iPod Touch 5th gen to iOS 8.1 and have found a few rather annoying problems.
1) It now takes basically a whole day for my iPod to charge. I cannot use my iPod and charge it at the same time (or only on very low battery use apps), which I could before . The battery life has dropped pretty significantly. When I plug it in, it is extremely tempermental about being connected.
2) I added some new songs to iTunes and it took over fifteen tries over a three day period to get it to sync my iPod.
3) This one is very important as much as extremely annoying. When I start typing on the Internet, Safari will freeze up and stop working.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problems? Has anyone found any solutions?Try:

Wondering why "<plug-in name> does not support the highest level of security for Safari plug-ins" appear for some plugins in Safari > Security > "Manage Website Settings"?
Have been trying to get to the root cause of the problem but did not find much on this. I am trying to figure out what can get the warning to go away completely than using the Allow/Always Allow options for the plug-in

Thank you for your response. Here is the screenshot of the warning that I am talking about.
Here is what I do:
1. Launch Safari and open its Preferences. I have Safari 7.1 installed on my machine.
2. Click Security Tab and click Manage WebSite Settings
3. A window opens showing me all the Plug-ins that I have (listed on the left hand side).
4. One of them is the Adobe Reader plug-in. When I click Adobe Reader, the following details about the plug-in show up on the right
I was referring to the highlighted section that warns me about this plug-in not using the highest level of security for Safari Plug-ins.
Note: I do not see this for all my plug-ins (QuickTime, Adobe Flash Player don't give me this warning) which tells me that there is a way to make the warning go away.

Why doesn't my iMAC (Safari) always ask to save my password for a website?
Many of my old websites have a saved password on the Safari preferences. But lately no new sites have asked me "if i want to save the password to this site".
My settings in Safari have not changed.. Any ideas what causes this and how to change set up to always ask to save my password?

VAThe OP doesn't say they are having problems with their old websites.
Many sites delibertly code their login web pages so passwords won't be saved. I don't know how to determine this.
Now, if you are having a problem with an old website that previously worked. It may not because the keychain is outdated.
This is a real pain. Especially when I deleted a bunch of keychains, yet when I go back to safari and type username and asswords, I don't get a prompt to save them. At least at login.yahoo.com
What is the chance of safari getting changed to remember all entered data regardless of how the login webpage is encoded? I have heard third party applications do this. It shouldn't be website determined. Shared computers - no saving, most other cases, up to user.
Now instead of my passwords safe in the keychain, I have to save them somewhere else. A lot more inconvient and insecure. -
IPad Safari - Can't pinch to zoom on only one website
I've always logged into Facebook on my iPad in Safari, but as of last night, I cannot use the pinch to zoom function on www.Facebook.com. I can go to any other website, even the mobile version of facebook at m.facebook.com and the pinch works. I have done a hard shutdown by holding down the sleep and home keys until the unit shuts down, I have cleared all history, cookies, and cache, but with everything I do, I still can't get it to work.
I know exactly what is causing it.
In Safari on the Mac, enable the developer menu. change your user agent to iPad,
Open Facebook.com. View source. Search for user-scalable=0
that is the exact code which is causing this problem. It is instructing iPad safari to not allow zooming.
Now go back and change the user agent back to desktop safari. Reload Facebook and view the source code. The user-scalable=0 line is gone.
The only workaround is to use Atomic Browser on the iPad and change the user agent to something else like desktop Safari.
If anyone has a contact at Facebook please let them know about this immediately as is is ruining the facebook experience for iPad users.
