Safari won't recognize my yahoo mail login certificate. says it's bogus.

Safari won't recognize my yahoo mail login certificate. says it's bogus.

Maybe you could provide just a few more details for us.  So what I would wonder is, has it done this before or is it a new Mac and your first time trying?  If it's not your first time are you using a bookmarked link?  Do you show an update for Safari in your Software Updates?  If not have you by any chance tried clearing your cache?  If that still maybe try going to Safari > Reset Safari?
Hope this is helpful.  If none of this works let us know what you've tried and any other information you can think of!

  • Safari keeps freezing when using yahoo mail.

Safari keeps freezing while using Yahoo mail. Have to close out or reset safari to regain access. Anyone else ever have this problem?

Why not use Mac Mail instead of Yahoo's web based mail and having to access it via Safari and deal with incompatibility issues?
    Open Mac Mail.
From the menu bar top of your screen click Mail / Preferences then select the Accounts tab then the Account Information tab.
Click +  (plus) under  the Accounts  panel on the left.
Type in your name, Yahoo email address and Yahoo password then click Create.
    It's that easy.
To view incoming mail or start a new mail message just click the Mail icon in your Dock. If the Mail icon isn't in the Dock, go to your Applications folder, launch Mail. Then click and hold the Mail icon in the Dock, click Option / Keep In Dock.

  • IPhoto won't recognize my iPhone 3Gs.  just says there's an apple iPhone, instead of the device name, and says there are no files to download, but there are 62 items on my phone... what's going on?

iPhoto won't recognize my iPhone 3Gs.  just says there's an "apple iPhone" instead of the device name, and says there are no files to download, but there are 62 items on my phone... what's going on?  as far as I can tell I have everything up to date and it's always worked in the past.

Have you already confirmed your Mac as a trusted device?  Try this:
    Lauch iTunes.
    Connect the Phone/iPad
When it asks you to trust it, say yes.
    Now try again to import.

  • Safari/KeyChain Not Saving Yahoo Mail Login/Password information?

I have a MacBook Pro laptop, Mac OSX Version 10.6.8 and Safari browser Version 5.1.7  Snow Leopard. The problem is ... I recently changed my passwords on my Yahoo Mail accounts.   Safari will not prompt to save my login information for Yahoo Mail. It works with other web sites and worked with yahoo mail before I changed passwords.
My attempts to correct the problem have been unsuccessful. I have tried the following:
    1. Ran Updates
    2. Clicked on Safari > opened Preferences >clicked Auto-Fill all 3 boxes checked
    3. Finder >Applications > utilities > KeyChain     I found Yahoo mail and removed the old ones.
    4. With KeyChain open > Clicked KeyChain Access > Clicked KeyChain First Aid and Verify    No problems found
    5. KeyChain Access>  File > New Password Item>  Typed in KeyChain item Name as https://login.yahoo.com and tried mail.yahoo.com typed in Information and saved.
I have checked the apple sites, the only thing I have found is what I did in #2. the boxes were already checked.
May be I am missing the obvious here. If there is a solution I would appreciate the help. ?

I'm having the exact same issue with Yahoo only on my iMac after changing the password.  I've been trying to fix it since yesterday, and yes I'm updated.  I also tried several fixes for the trojan.  Not luck for me yet.
    Corrections Completed for Safari 5.1.7:
    1- verified all updates completed
    2- deleted cookies for everything
3- deleted keychain access for yahoo account. Interesting is that after deleting cookies and keychain, the username and old password keep populating but it hasn't stored the new password because I never received the prompt to store.

  • "Mail" won't show my Yahoo mails...

    Hello,
I'm using three boxes, all Yahoo. Had a minor problem with one of them and the Yahoo people told me they had switched the account to another server to solve the problem (which was actually solved).
But since then, "Mail" won't show the incoming mail. The activity indicator shows "x" mails having been collected but they don't show either on he screen or next to the account name...
One exception: as I tried to cancel then re-create the faulty account, it does collect messages the first time it opens...but then afterwards nothing shows although mails are showed to have been collected.
The other two boxes I use with Yahoo are collected without any problem.
    Yahoo can't or won't help...
Anybody with an idea ??? Could the problem be linked with changing the server ? But then how is it hat mails are shown to have been collected by he activity counter even if they don't appear on he screen or next to he account name ?
Many thanks and greetings from southern France.
    JP/

no one knew why i couldn't get my messages from the pop server at att/yahoo into my mail on my mac. there were no answered questions to the support topic why can i see mail activity....messages on the server, but not coming into the mail box? sending is fine, but for some reason, it suddenly stopped 3 days ago and for 3 days i searched for a fix. the only way i found this was a mail access error on the web mail thru att.yahoo where my messages showed up (they were also showing up on the i phone, not the mac)...had to verify the email....and while waiting, i found the att yahoo help page that cleared the whole problem
not removing files and putting them back in while opening and shutting mac....all the ports and ssls were checked and correct
apparently you have to clean your cache
    totally all att's fault
Web Mail - How do I clear my browser's cache?
It's true, a clogged cache can slow down and even stop your browser. Who wants that? Not us. Let's get to work clearing your cache. Which browser are you using? Instructions are included below for each of these:
Firefox 2.x for Windows or Mac
    1. For Windows or Mac, click Tools and select Clear Private Data.
    2. In the window that opens, select whichever items you'd like to clear. When you're done, click Clear Private Data Now.
    Safari 3 for Mac
    1. In the Safari menu, click Empty Cache. That's it!
    2. To also clear the History, click the History menu and click Clear History (at the bottom).

    Hi Behrouz,
Please try if you can access the site on computers outside your Company network. This could help us to narrow down the issue and see if the “The Hardware Firewall
won't allow any Computers to access any ports Except Port 8” causes the issue.

  • Safari to support latest BT Yahoo Mail

I had to reinstall Safari however the reinstalled version from Installer Disk won't let me use the latest version of BT Yahoo Mail. I'm stuck with BT Classic.  I have run the 'Software Update' and nothing returns.    I tried to upload the Apple latest Safari from the BT link but they're for either Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 or Snow Leopard 10.6.8 which are later than my 10.5.4.  It was working fine earlier today before the reinstall.  thanks.

Safari 5.0.6 for Leopard can be downloaded from here:

  • Safari doesn't work with yahoo mail: always getting beach ball

I recently encountered this problem in my new Mac BookPro. Itstarted my safari showing me the beach ball constantly in any web page (I always have the yahoo mail open in one tab). Now, since couples of days ago, every time I opened my yahoo e-mail after I click on the inbox the beach ball appears and never goes away. Even after I close the yahoo e-mail tab and I try to go back to any other web page tab I had open I get this message:
"Web pages are not responding. To reload this webpage, all pages in other tabs and windows must also be force reloaded. Do you want to reload this page?
Force reloading might cause you to loose information you have entered"
The yahoo mail works perfectly on google chrome so is a safari problem. I have no idea what to do since this is my first Mac and I am not very knowledgeable about them. Any suggestions please?
    Thanks very much

Could be a third party Safari add on causing the beachballs, troubleshooting help here >  Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
You can use the Console app  (Applications/Utilities) to help troubleshoot.
To view only messages related to a particular action:
Select the log file you want and click Clear Display in the Console toolbar. If the button is dimmed, it means this feature is not available in this log.
If you want to add a time marker to the log, click Insert Marker in the toolbar.
Perform the action you are interested in and watch the log display to see the messages generated by your action.

  • Safari 6534.50 hangs with Yahoo mail.

This happens about 75% of the time. Command Q will exit and allow another try. Must be some kind of Javascript loop or something like that. Fan speeds up too. Yahoo mail page will open but cursor does not change to a pointer to allow selecting inbox.

This happens about 75% of the time
Instead of accessing your Yahoo mail via Safari, there's another way and you'll avoid the "loop".
Open Mac Mail. From the Mail menu bar click Mail / Preferences then select the Accounts tab then the Account Information tab.
Click + under the Accounts panel on the left.
Enter your name, Yahoo user name and password then click Create.
Now instead of using Safari to access your Yahoo mail, just click the Mail icon in your Dock, or you can launch Mail from the Applications folder.

  • Apple Mail App won't work for Yahoo Mail

About two months ago I switched from using the Yahoo web interface for my Yahoo mail to using the Apple Mail App.  (Yahoo changed their web interface and I didn't like the new one).  The Apple mail app worked fine until 2 days ago.  I couldn't get new mail or send mail.  It appeared that mail could not connect to the Yahoo mail server.  I killed mail and started it up, that didn't work.  I took the account offline and then back online and that didn't work.  When I tried to do things like delete mail that I had received before the problem started Mail appeared to hang and I had to Force Quit Mail.  Finally I deleted the email account from mail and then tried to recreate it.  Now I can't recreate the account via the normal mail process of creating an account.
I have a MacBook Pro which I bought about 4 months ago. I'm on OSX 10.9.1.  I'm using Mail version 7.1 that came with the MacBook Pro.
So I am back to using the Yahoo web interface, that I really don't like.  BTW my mail works fine on my iPhone.

Well, Mail crashed.  Then the WiFi I was using went down (I'm at a Texas State park and the power failed) and I switched to using my iPhone as a hot spot and it suddenly connected.  Could the problem have been the Texas State Park router?

  • I cannot open yahoo mail login page over wireless using FF 35.0

Ever since FF updated to 35.0 I can not open yahoo mail log in,
using wireless. It seems to work only if plugged in. If I open it in IE 11 I seem to have no issues though regardless of how I connect. I have tried several of the suggestions safe mode, resetting, firewall, etc but no luck.
Running Win7 64 bit (with latest updates), Firefox v35.0

Okay, Using wired you have access, using wireless, none.
I take it both are going thru the same modem?
