Safari wont save passwords now

so i had 2 do an Archive/Install and now Safari doesnt offer to save my Passwords in Keychain. how do i fix that?

In the Safari Preferences click the Autofill tab and make sure the “User names and passwords” option is selected.

Safari on my MBPro will no longer (if it ever did) ask me if I want to save a new password once I enter it for a secure site. I want that saved so I can use autofill. I recently got my MacPro to do this for sites that do not want you to auto log on, but that is not working on my laptop. What do I set to see the 'save password?' windowwhen I enter one for the first time? You can not enter a mappword manually in the preferences.

Some websites direct the browser not to autofill login credentials. You can sometimes override that directive in Safari 7 or later by selecting

from the menu bar and checking the box marked
Allow AutoFill even for websites that request passwords not be saved
Autofill may still not work on some sites.

How to get Safari to save passwords?

I went on a website for the first time and Safari asked me if I wanted it to save my username and password, but I accidentally said "never for this site" even though I now want it to save them. Is there a way to change this? I'm using an iPad with iOS7. Thanks!

OK. Think I found it:
Settings app > Safari > Saved Passwords > Tap Edit > locate the site on teh list (it will sate "not saved" in the sub heading) > Tap the entry to select it (check mark) > tap Delete.
After this, when you return to the site and add the login credentials, you should be prompted to save it.
NOTE: Some sites explicitly prevent saving passwords.

Safari wont fill passwords

I use camino and safari back and forth alot. But i've started to favor safari and now the only reason i use camino is that it actually works with my keychain to auto fill in passwords, and i have TONS of them in keychain.
Safair will not, the keychain is unlocked or lock and safari will not autofill passwords. Even if i right click an internet password in keychain and select go to, it will launch safari and then pull up the site but still not auto fill in the password.
I've done keychain first aid a few times and it shows no error. whtas up with this?
running the latest version of tiger on a 1ghz 17"
on another machine (and i guess this is a second question) the autofill works fine, but i never use that machine, is there a way to make it so that i dont have to type in my user name and it just automatically fills both of those fields?

I've been having a similar problem for months. 1) One day Safari would no longer accept passwords. I've reset Safari, emptied cache, cleared cookies, and repaired permissions but Safari STILL won't accept any option for passwords but not now. 2) AND it won't connect to any site that requires a secure connection. I'm running IE (which I hate) right now b/c I couldn't use Safari to log in. 3) And finally, I caontinually get the mesaage that Safari cant open such-and-such a page because it couldnt establish a secure connection to the server support.apple.com.
Help?

Safari wont save new Bookmarks

No matter what I try, Safari 1.3.1 will not save a new Bookmark. If I drag to the Menu Bar, use the pulldown etc, when I reopen Safari the Book mark is gone.

Safari 2.0 (as part of Tiger) has an Import Bookmarks option in the File menu. Not sure about your 10.3 copy though. You can install Safari Enhancer to enable the Debug menu (which has this Import command hidden therein). Good luck.

Safari wont save images properly anymore

For some reason my phone is in a state now where the images I try to save when at certain resolutions only generate the thumbnail in the database and do not save the actual content. Restarting the phone does not fix this. I can save some images at certain resolutions but cannot save others that are not standard sizes. Some times the image saved is just a camera icon with the letters "JPG" under it and I cannot select the asset in the photolibrary but it does register as an item that is saved there.
If I restore the phone to factory this does not happen. How is this possible? I have about 7 GB of free space on the phone and roughly 80 pictures on the phone.

any ideas? maybe its not closing the link? finishing the download completely?

Keychain wont save passwords

keychain repeatedly makes me enter a password when i open Mail, even after i repeteadly check to "Remember this password in my Keychain" it has happpened in other apps too, such as Adium

I solved this problem by creating a new keychain in Keychain Access and making it the default keychain.

Auto save passwords safari ?

I recently changed my password for gmail and needed to replace that with the old one in auto save, by deleting the old from "passwords and auto fill" in safari settings! But now it doesn't ask me anymore to remember passwords ?
I've tried almost all up-to resetting device! But of no vain
Such a hassle to type in passwords again n again, though again I've tried everything ,deleted history rebooted device
But nothing works!!

Passwords wont save

I was trying to delete an FTP saved password, and it deleted all of my passwords on Key Chain. Now all of my passwords wont save. I am very frustrated right now. How come every time I change a setting on a mac, something goes wrong.

I found the problem, I fixed it. I know what happened. I clicked delete KeyChain. Not delete. But I got my passwords back. I clicked on login.keychain

after being harrased by the popup to upgrade i finally did and i wish i never had. The password now wont save I have the box checked to sign me in when skype starts and it still makes me type it every time. I dont know why they took away the country flags or made the account balance hard to find. Skype was so nice before now i hate it! CAn someone at least help me figure out how to get the password to save??? Thanks

I have Mountain Line with Safari 6.0.2. I used to open Facebook, Youtube, Twitter etc. and everytime I select "Stay signed in" "Remember my password" etc. but it doesn't save my passwords and everytime I have to sign in again. I never sign out from these websites but when I open it next time, it requires username & password.
Does anybody know the problem & solution, plz help.

When you type a letter you can see that letter for a second and then it changes to the dot. That's how it works. I suggest writing the password down first.
