Safety copy doesn't work

When I try to make a safety copy of my iTunes library everything works fine until I put in a blanc DVD. iTunes ejects it, and asks me to put in an empty DVD. It works fine to burn playlists on DVD's but not safety copies. Why?

I am having the same problem. I even went out and ought a new external DVD burner because I thought my older one in my Dell was bad, but it is definitely Itunes. I am trying to back up by music library this way so I can move it all over to a new Mac Book Pro! Then I am done with my Windows machine ..... foreva!!!!!!! yeah!!!!

  • Adobe reader X (10.1.2) Zoom and Copy doesn't work

    Hi guys,
    I installed Reader X yesterday and now I'm stuck with these 2 problem
    I cannot zooming by using ctrl+mouse wheel (up or down), zooming with ctrl+(plus or minus) still work. This feature also work fine on FireFox, Chrome and other programs. In addition, I cannot left click to drag pages down with hand tool.
    Another problem is everytime I copy text from a pdf file, there is a message that "There were an error while copying to the Clipboard. An internal error occured".
    All above features works fine on Reader 9 and older versions. I'm using Windows 7 Home 64-bit.
    Please help

    v10.1.3 seems to solve this issue, but...
    For me Ctrl+minus doesn't work... it confuses it with Ctrl+6 
    Maybe because I'm on AZERTY keyboard and - and 6 are on same key

    And click on one of the pdf files it opens and shows the save a copy button when i click on it, it doesn't work, in the old versions of reader all went fine.
    But on other websites i can open and save the pdf
    When i press Ctrl -Shift - S, the following message appears

    We've had all kinds of issues with this.  If your user isn't a LOCAL ADMIN (and they shoudln't be) on the computer and the web browser is Internet Explorer, and the site has protected mode = ON in IE, and you have "display PDF in browser" enabled, you can kiss mouse wheel support, saving PDF's and some other things goodbye.  It seems to be a permissions issue when you start to resrtict what the user and user mode applications can do.
    If you disable the "display PDF in browser" option it works, but this breaks the DDE scripts on some websites.
    If you make the user an ADMIN on the workstation, it works, but that is stupid and we shouldn't have to do that.
    If you make the site a trusted site, or disable internet explorer sandboxing by eliminating protected mode support, it works, but again that is stupid - you shoudln't have to trust every site you want to print/save a stupid PDF from.  And besides, Adobe even thinks sandboxing is important, they just implemented protected mode support.  We shoudln't have to disable it in another product to get this one to work!
    Really hoping that someone at Adobe will get a clue and start making something that works with corporate machines that have limited user rights, and UNC path folder redirection and roaming profiles, and print drivers that need to be used to render the document to print correctly and etc...

  • Pc companion safety copy does not work

    Tried making a safety copy on my xperia z2 with pc companion but I cant even start creating a copy. Pc companion starts investigating filesystem after 20 minutes I gave up, twice. No error messages no nothing...

    That is a huge backup file.Normally,you have to backup only contacts,messages,account datas etc.Leave media files out and copy them manually.

  • How do I copy photos from iphoto to an sd card. Copy doesn't work and export doesn't work.

    I have tried to copy photos to an SD drive on my macbook pro from iphoto. Copy does not work and I get an error when I try export. Can this be done?

    With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a potential solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
    what version of iPhoto are you using?
    what system version are you running?
    what happens when you try to drag and drop from the Finder? Any messages?
    what fixes have you tried?
    where is your library located?
    did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
    are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
    what type of Mac?
    how much free space on your boot drive?

  • Copy doesn't work with embeded sub report in CR For Visual Studio 2010 SP2

    Copy feature doesn't seems to work with embeded sub report content in CR For Visual Studio 2010 SP2. I am using a winform app .net 4.0. I am not able to select the individual fields in the embeded sub report . It always select the whole sub report and it is not copying anything. Please let me know how to enable the copy feature for elements in  embeded sub report.

  • I'm trying to re-install Adobe Acrobat 7.1.0, but the Serial Number of my old copy doesn't work. Where do I get a new Serial Number?

    I bought a copy of Adobe Acrobat 7.1.0 in 2001, and it's been working fine, but now I'm told I need to download a new copy. However, when I get to enter the Serial Number (of the original copy), it says it's invalid. How do I get a new Serial number?

  • Opt-click & drag to copy doesn't work..why???

    Hello,
    I am having trouble with the shortcut copy & drag command (holding down option while dragging a note event or region.) It only seems to work about half the time- frequently, it moves the event instead of moving a copy. Then I have to undo & try again. Sometimes this happens 5 or 10 times before it finally works. As you can imagine this can be incredibly frustrating.
    I haven't been using Logic long enough to know if I'm just an idiot or I have some kind of bug.
    I have tried holding down opt before clicking on the item vs clicking on the item first and then holding option...I've tried selecting the item first, then tried having it NOT selected before the first click...it just seems to work sometimes, not work other times, no matter what. Has anyone heard of this problem? I couldn't find anything in the archives here.
    Or, does anyone have a Logic tech support email or phone #? It seems to be hard to find.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

    The good news is that I use this copy method all the time with no problem so it is most likely something small that you're overlooking. So let's take it step by step:
    to copy a region, select the region by clicking on it once. When the region is highlighted grab it by clicking and holding on it. Now move it to where you want to position the copy (if you have the help tags on they will read "Moving to position x.x.x.x). When it's positioned where you want it hold the option key (the help tags will now read "Copying" instead of "Moving"). Release the mouse button while still holding the option key, once the copy is in place you can stop holding the option key.
    To copy individual note(s) in the Score or Piano Roll editors follow the exact same proceedure except that you first select the notes by rubberbanding them.

  • Copy doesn't work and creates zero bytes files that I can't delete.

    After installing Yosemite (I am now using version 10.10.1) I had problems copying files.
    Sometimes (not always) it doesn't copy files from a folder to another using the simple cmd-c cmd-v procedure. Even if both folders are on the desktop. It creates many empty files (white icons, zero bytes) named as my files, but the copy isn't happening.
    The main problem is that I cannot delete the files anyhow. If they are in a folder I can delete the whole folder and empty the trash.
    It doesn't happen everytime, but yesterday I had the same problem copying a few videos to the desktop and I can't get rid of them (because I obviously can't delete the desktop folder...).
    Can anybody help me? I need to be able to delete those zero bytes files that are now on my desktop.
    I tried to drag them into a folder but it wouldn't let me. As well, I tried to copy the same files to the desktop to see if they disappeared, but the new files copied were renamed with 2 (ex. I had the zero byte file called IMG_0705.MOV on my desktop. I tried to paste the same file and it appeared named as IMG_0705 2.MOV).
    I don't know what to do...

    Take it to an Apple store or AASP. How much it will cost will depend on their determination of the problems. To bad you didn't purchase extended AppleCare. No you don't get your money back for purchasing Lion.

  • Disney File Digital Copy - Doesn't Work!

    This is just to share my frustration with Apple's lousy customer service and this faulty technology so others experiencing the problem don't waste their time troubleshooting a problem on their computer when it's clearly Apple's problem.
    I purchased The Nightmare Before Christmas with the Disney File Digital Copy included, just so I could copy the movie to my iPhone. I already owned a copy of this on DVD, this was the only reason why I purchased it.
    I placed the CD in my drive, filled out the information it asked for, and it opened iTunes. I was prompted for the code and typed it in, and immediately got "Sorry, the iTunes store is currently unavailable, please try again later".
    I tried accessing other parts of the itunes store and everything else worked fine, just not this part. I called Apple customer care and the first person had me copy the movie from the DVD to the desktop and then try changing the extension and importing it. When that didn't work he transfered me to iTunes support. They insisted there was nothing wrong with the itunes store and it had to be my computer or firewall. I bypassed the firewall and connected directly to the cablemodem, still nothing.
    They asked me to try another computer so I did. When I tried another computer, instead of the message that I can't connect to the itunes store, I got a message saying the code was already used, which was farther than I got before. At that point I was told the problem is software related on my computer and they gave me a new key to try once I figure out my software problem. I was highly skeptical that this was the cause, but decided to just wipe out my HD and install Windows from scratch and iTunes ONLY. When I attempted to activate the new code, guess what.. the SAME THING! It said the code was activated already! By that time support was closed so I had to call them back the next day.
    I call them back, explain the situation, they then tell me to try it again tomorrow. I said "Why? Is there a known issue that will be resolved tomorrow?", their response was "There's no known issue, but you should try it again tomorrow." I responded, "If there isn't a known issue, then why the **** should I wait yet another day just to get the same error again and have to call back and wait another 45 minutes to speak to someone!?"
    Their response? "I can't tell you that there's a known issue, all I can say is you can try it again tomorrow"
    So clearly.. they're either trying to get people off the phone regardless of whether their issue has been resolved or not, or they know about the issue but in true Apple fashion they won't admit to it. When I complained further, I was told they were going to escalate the issue and I would receive two emails.. one from the person I was speaking with, and one from the person they escalated the issue to. I've yet to receive that 2nd email and I have wasted over 20 hours trying to watch a movie THAT I PAID FOR and can't due to Apple's crappy technology.
    Lets see how long this message lasts on Apple's forum before they delete it..

    yup...just bought it....same problem. its amazing b/c i hear the same things about apple and their lack of acknowledging that there is a problem. i think they are told to say that b/c they want people to know how "awesome" their product is and not bad mouth it themselves. granted there are a lot of good things that outweigh the bad. its just that their support ***** bigtime and one hopes that one day they will realize to have better support in the future. i just hope they fix it quickly b/c dumbasses like me love the apple franchise and hopefully one day they will cater to us a little better when the fit hits the shan. either that or i hope one day they reap what they sow. this is ridiculous that it took me like 5 searches to find a decent thread addressing the problem. a better search engine perhaps?
    all i know is in the future i hope they adress the problem a little better than this "wait and see" technique. i wanted to get this on the ipod....sigh....FIX UR PROBLEMS APPLE!!!!!! cripes...... F*!!!!

  • Digital copy doesn't work

    I'm trying to load my ipad with some movies with digital copies but it's not working, I'm getting a message "You do not have enough access priveleges for this action".
    Once loaded the movie title is in grey text and can't be moved from my library to the ipad.

    I'd look on the site for the owner of your digital copies and troubleshoot there. Some of them, for example, are only allowed on one device at a time or one computer at a time. You may be running into digital rights management issues for your copies.

  • Create virtual copy doesn't work

    Am I doing something wrong?
    I right click on a thumbnail, click create virtual copy. THe thumbnail pane flickers, but I see no evidence of stacking going on: there is no page turn icon in the bottom left or a number in the top left displaying.
    I have tired this in the filmstrip in develop and in the library view.

    Maybe check your sort - I had some odd sorting and it put my copy down the bottom out of site.

  • Save a copy doesn't work on Windows 7 32-bit

    I upgraded from Vista to Win 7 32 bit Home Premium and after opening a web PDF (IE8) the save a copy button will not save a copy.  I'm trying from the Best Buy credit card site.  I uninstalled Reader and reinstalled v9.2.  I'm hoping someone else has encountered this problem and has found a fix.

    If you are needing more drivers and Lenovo utilities I suggest you download and install ThinkVantage SystemUpdate.

    I make use of Nik-plugins a lot to finish off my pictures. That's why I often use the "Edit in..." context-menu for hand over my Lightroom images to the Nik software. Usually I have tagged my images before, so I expect the created TIFF-file to receive the same tagging. But somehow that's not what happens.
    The situation: I'm working on images which are tagged with a certain keyword, i.e. only these images are shown (I clicked the right-arrow on the category to show exactly those images). I hand over the file to the plugin (edit in...). LR creates the TIFF-file. The selection of the image I've created the TIFF of disappears, no new image is selected. I edit the image in the Nik product and save it. Afterwards I cannot see the image in my LR category. I have to switch to the "All Photos" view, find it there, select it, uncheck (strange!?) the tagging for the image, recheck the tagging and then switch to that tag again.
    Does anyone have the same problem? Does anyone have a solution? This really slows down my speed...
