one of the employee salaryslip not opened in portal it gives 500 internal error why?

Please let me know if you have implemented the BADI XSS_REM_INTERFACE. If you have implemented this
BADI, please make sure that all the methods are implemented correctly. you should implement all the methods in the new implementation. If you do not require any specific implementation, you can copy the default implementation of methods in the class
CL_DEF_IM_XSS_REM_INTERFACE. Also kindly refer to note 901850 for more details. The note is attached to the message.

BEx workbook does not open from portal when excel is already opened

Hi all,
When I go to the portal and open a BEx workbook from there while excel is already open, then the workbook does not open.
When I close excel and then open the BEx workbook it all works fine.
I do not get any error: just nothing happens.
Any idea how to solve this?

BI 3.5
Excel 2003

I found this only happens when excel is open with a cell in edit mode. Whenc I then open BEx from the portal I get the error 'please install suitable version'.
Let my know if you have any advice.

Web Dynpro Application is not openeing from Portal UWL

Hi,
I have developed a WD application which is integrated in the portal. This WD application navigates through several levels of approval by triggering the workflow. Initially USER will create the request launching the WD application from portal and upon clicking the SUBMIT button -> Workflow will be triggered and Work item will be sent to Approver UWL list in the Portal.
Link will be displayed in the UWL list and upon clicking that link WD application need to be opened where the details will be displayed and can approve the request by clicking on APPROVE button.
Here, We have created a PFCG role which can be assigned to USER to access the WD application to create the request from portal. But for Approvers, we have not assigned any such roles except UWL role.
Workflow is working fine, Workitem is displayed in Approvers UWL but when they click on the link -> WD Application is not opening. Configuration in SWFVISU is done.
I think we are missing some roles which need to be assigned to Approvers. We cross checked by assigning SAP_ALL profile to the Approers and found WD application is getting opened and everything is working fine. But we are not supposed to give SAP_ALL in the PRD.
Please help what are the other roles that need to be assigned to Approvers.

Zip file not open in portal

Dear all,
I have encountered a problem while opening a zip file in portal it can't open. Once we click on R/3 side its working fine but the same thing happen in portal its not open if we are pressing CTLR button than it will open in portal what's the prob .Can anyone give me some highlights on this issue.

Open File DialogBox not opening in portal

Hello Friends,
I have a transaction in R/3 which is used to upload a document. User clicks a button "upload", which popup a File Dialog box and then he select a file to upload and its done.
Same transaction i have brought on portal using SAP Transaction iView.
Now the problem is, when user click "upload" button, page only refreshes and nothing else happens. No file dialog box ever appears.
The problem is definitly not due to popup blocker as i have disabled it and popups in other application are working fine.
Is it a inherent limitation of SAP Transaction Iview for html ?.
Kindly suggest a solution.

Adobe interactive form (ABAP WD) size is increasing after cleansing data from MDM and the form is not opening from portal UWL.
Same application is working fine in Dev and Qa environment. In dev and QA the form size is around 150 KB after cleansing data from MDM. Some reason in production it is more than 2 MB. FYI - We have multiple app servers in production.

Hi Babi,
In the adobe form layout library Use the Submit(which internally means submit to SAP) button from the Webdynpro Native category.
Only this button action can connect adobe to web dynpro.
Whenever we click on this particular button the event will be trigger in the ONsubmit event of interactive form UI element in the webdynpro.There we can write our abap code.Hope this will help you.

Context Menu in BW Report Iview not opening after upgrade to Portal 7.3

Hi All,
We have a unusual problem that, the Context menu of the BW reports for options like filtering is not opening post Upgrade to Portal 7.3 for End users.
However, with Super Admin role, the Context menu opens for the BW report Iview.
I have tried giving the same permission that the Super Admin Role has on the BW Report Iview to the End users, still no success.
Any idea? Anybody faced same kind of problem?
Please revert for any more info.

This is really a shot in the dark since I have not done much with 7.3. Have you checked for UME actions that are assigned to the administrator but not the end user?

Work item is not opening while clicking in POWL Task under MSS Portal

I have created custom Iview on portal for POWL. I can see my Powl application but when I select work item which contains all task ...and select any one of them it should open WD abap application but its not opening application and giving error.
There is no iView available for system "": object "SWF_WIOBN" "

Document not getting opened from portal

Dear Team,
We have a CRM role, in which we have created a BSP application (crm_bsp_frame) for Account Management.
There we have a Attachments tab, from which we are attaching documents. We are able to attach the documents but when we click on the attached doc, it's not opening neither it's throwing any errors.
We want to view the attached doc, so how to open it ?

I have already 10.1.2.0.0 Infra on one m/c1 and installed 10.1.2.0.2 middletier on other m/c2 and using OID from m/c1.
Installation was successful, but portal page is not opening, any ideas.

There is a either a big bug in 10.1.2.0.2 or i am going somewhere wrong.
On one of the test m/c's i have installed 10.1.2.0.2 infra and middletier but still portal page was not opening and also to astonishment in this case also all the applications in oc4j_portal were not loaded.

Make sure the hostname you use in your URL (short and FQDN) can be resolved.
ie:
myportal:<port>/irj
myportal.mycompany.com:<port>/irj
eg: in your hosts file make sure
10.23.2.50 myportal myportal.mycompany.com
Also after all the changes you have made, empty your browser cache and also force a GET by using cntrl+F5 key.

Application not working on Portal

Hi,
I have a query regarding one of the application. The application is a transactional app like creating a new supplier/material.
When i execute the application from backend ECC, it is running fine but the same application is not working on Portal.
The application is working fine from NWBC as well. The problem is that the application navigation is not happening when i click on Create and throwing below errors. Please suggest at the earliest.

Well, as it turns out.. we're at SP12 and this note does not apply for us. It's not really a solution for our system and we're still looking for the reason for this behavior of the portal.

POWL OBN links do not open a pop up window in one domain

I am hoping to get some helpful information on a problem with a POWL OBN links not opening a pop-up only in one domain. The issue is described below.
We have deployed the BP for Buyer 1.0, SP15. One of the iViews we use is the My Purchasing Documents and we have enabled the query POWL_PR_MY. Our Portal Version is 7.0 SP21, ECC6 (no EHP).
Query POWL_PR_MY (My Purchase Requisitions) of POWL Application OPS-BUYER-POWL-PURDOC has links with the Purchase Requisition Number. Ideally when the links are clicked on, it should open up the Purchase Requisition transaction with the details of the item. This does not happen in our case.
Our Portal Server is on the domain main.nex.com, but is accessed from the domain drs.nex.com. The ECC is also on the main.nex.com domain.
When we access this application using "portal.main.nex.com", the links work fine as they should. But when we access the application using "portal.drs.nex.com", they do not open at all. There is no error message displayed. It just simply does not do anything.
We have added *.main.nex.com to our local intranet trusted sites and have enabled pop-ups, added the proxy exception
*.main.nex.com. All the Pop-ups are working from the other Custom Webdynpro application and from the other SAP GUI for HTML transactions in the portal from domain "drs.nex.com".
I am not sure what the problem is, but we are facing a problem ONLY with this application's links. I am not able to see anything in the nwa logs too.
Any pointers as to where I can look for issues?
