Sales area determination in BP

Dear All,
We are rolling out SAP CRM for one of our companies,
The sales area is not getting determined at the time of creating BP.
I could find the R/3 Sales area is not getting determined in BP.
Is there any downloading object where i can push the R/3 Sales area to CRM.
Can anyone please throw some light,
Thanks,
Satish

Dear Rajendra,
Thanks for your information and sorry for delay.
I have maintained obj. permitted determination in the attribute tab, and I have compare with my both system i.e. ERP and CRM in the crm orgniazational unit, there is a function tab there we are mainitaining the r/3 sales org and attribute like DC and Division. I found that there is not update new distribute chanell and division attribute details.
Can I know is there any object to dowload the sales are data into crm system. I found one object i.e. DNL_CUST_S_AREA, can I know what is the functionality of this object.
I have tried this object in the quality but no result.
Shell we maintain DC and division manually in the function tab in org model? I have tired this also maintain dc and division manually but no result.
I did not try your answer, I will try this and let you know.

Jags

  • Sales Area Determination in Stock Transfer Order - user exit

    Dear SD gurus,
We have different distribution channels for inter company and intra company stock transfers; since only one sales area can be set in the configuration (setup STO -> shipping data for plants), we want to use a user exit to determine the sales area dynamically.
We have created an enhancement of function exit V02V0001 (Sales area determination for stock transport order); but the program flow doesn't seem to stop in this exit despite setting break-points.
Can someone suggest why this exit is not fired during runtime or if this can be used at all for our purpose.

    KC

Sales Org : 1000, Distribution Channel: 10 and Division : 01 (Division is not displayed in opportunity)
But when I created ERP sales order as follow-up document from opportunity, system checks for sales area 1000, 10, 00 (This sales area or Division u201800u2019 doesnu2019t exist in either systems ERP / CRM) and gives a error message.
If you have any idea how sales area determination works in follow-up ERP Sales order please share.
your help will be highly appreciated
    Thanks

    Hi Christian,
If the service order line items are entittled to service contract , at each item level you will get contract info in contract data tab.
when you transfer these items to confirmation , confirmation item contract data will not have contract information. Only when you enter items in confirmation manually then system will pop up window for selection contract and confirmation items get contract information.
    thanks,

  • Return Purchase Order (MVT #161) Sales Area Determination on Purchase Order

    Hi,
I am working on return purchase order (Purchase order with return check box ON at item level) and creating outbound delivery with VL10B and doing PGI to vendor.
Can someone help to figure out how sales area (sales org/distribution channel/Division) gets determine on purchase order item level "Shipping" tab ?
In other word, as shown below for return PO, I have sales area 1180/50/01. I want to determine different sales area.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Ravi.

However, you can enhance the system to use multiple sales areas for return by using retail sales area. The below notes give more details:

  • Sales Area Determination

    Hi Experts
While creating Service Contract system ask the selection of sales area even though i maintained in customer master
it should determined through sales area
is their any thing i am missing in config
    Regards
    Raju

You have to select org determination profile, in which you would define org determination rule; you can try using rule:10000144 (Sales areas incl. master data) for your purpose. You then attach this org determination profile to transaction type.
However during the creation of order in GUI you have to manually select in the orgisation tab  the sales area for which the order is relevant. But when creating order in portal sales area relevant based on your selection of webshop/xcm scenario organisation tab details would fill up on their own.

  • Authorization object for Sales area determination

    Hi Experts,
Im here having service message created with error messages as below:
    1. Enter a sales organization
    2. Enter a distribution channel
    3. Responsible organizational unit (sales) missing
    4. Enter a service organization
    5. Responsible organizational unit (service) missing
    6. Enter the unit of measure
    7. Enter a Currency
FYI, the Sales area data has been maintained correctly via Tcode BP. And i realize that the SolMan user id having some missing authorization. Because i did tried to add SAP_ALL to the same user id. After that the message created <u>without</u> any errors.
Thus im suspecting the user id missing some authorization that causing the failed of Sales area data detemination.
Could you please point me out?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Joern,
will this ST01 also work for the PCUI or BSP application for finding the authorization objects.
Actually our requirement is that we need to restrict a user searching documents belonging to him and reporting to him.
without any authorizations given we are able to search the documents of all users in activty management under activtiy monitor. we would like to block users to view only documents done by him in his sales area.
can you provide me the details of the authorization object, please.
    thanks

  • Sales Area determination in Shipping from MM PO

    Hi everyone
Is there a userexit available to determine Sales Org (VKORG), Distribution channel (VTWEG) in the case of creating outbound deliveries for a return to vendor.
    Thanks in advance

Please check if all the materials you are trying to post have all the sales customizing as a usual outbound delivery. The material has to be extended for the sales organization, having an entry in MVKE.
For return deliveries this organizational data come first from table T001l (storage location) or if not maintained there from table T001W. What you have to do is to maintain the table MVKE is to add the sales tabs to the material master of the raw material. Hope this helps.

    Hi Rajesh ,
    What is return Vendor?
As per my undetstanding  , when you are doing returns the sales area determined  automatically from customer master?
Note-Vendor can also customer  OR Customer also  can be   Vendor , here there is link between these two  ,once  you  assign that  vendor in Customer master general data-Control data - you have field  you can assign that vendor code there, the same with vendor  you can also link customer with Vendor in the same assignment in vendor master data
May be    this assign is done already for that  customer or vendor plz  check.
Hope it is helpful to you

  • Importance of Sales Area & Currency in Campaign

We are upgrading our SAP CRM from 5.0 to 7.0.
As per SAP the Sales area determination in campaigns is not a standard in 7.0 and to get it determined we need to use a BADI.
I would like to know what are the down stream implication of the Sales Area data & Currency in Campaigns, we are able to add products without Sales Area & Currency .
So please let me know the impacts of not having a Sales Area Data & Currency in campaigns.

    Hello,
We are currently using broadvision for our distributor netwowk search, through this broadvision we can search near by distributors and the distance from the address we give, this work on java Application.
Going further we want to replace the Broadvision and use SAP web services instead of using Broadvision as to avoid manual data entry to broadvision.
Please let me know your thoughts on usage of SAP web services and broadvision functionality.

  • Inheriting Sales area from header to ITem

    Hello All,
is there a way to inherit header sales area to Item sales area pelase?
I read SAP documentation that explains that if you leave ORg Determination profile as EMpty for item catogory, it inherits from header to item.
But system does not do it for the division.
if i leave it empty, only Sales org and Distribution channnel get inherited but not division. divison is allways coming from material.
is there anyway to change this and get Sales area determining always from header of the document pelase?
    BR,
    KP.

    Hi npl kpl,
Division will always come from product. That is standard behavior. If you read the IMG activity description for 'Assign Organizational Data Profile to the Item Category' , it is clearly stated that division will get derived from product.
Now if you must change it, I think you will have to write custom code in some BAdi after the org determination has happened for your item.

  • Sales Area for BP is Suppress

    Hi Gurus !!
I am testing scenario on WEB UI related to creation of Fund Plan. Initially i was getting an error of User Id is not defined as Employee responsible with no sales area determination. Than i created BP with Employee role than problem of Employee responsible solves but no sales area determination exists.
On configuration i created Dist.Channel and Div without any integration with ECC and then created Org.Determination with SALES  as Function and then in attributes i defined country as PK and DC and Div as well. This sales area i completely created without any ingratiation with ECC. I also click on Obj.Permitted in Determination . But when i am going to create SP Role of same BP with Employee Role it is showing all fields of Sales Area Suppress. I could not understand why this is happening ?
    Please guide me
    Thanks

    Hi Jack,
    Thanks fr reply

  • Failing to determine sales area in sales order for many BP's(Sold-To Party)

    Hi Experts
In SAP CRM version 4.0, when I enter the Sold-to party (BP) in the sales order transaction, for some it determines the sale area automatically and for most of the BP's it is not determining.
The Determination rule is organizational Model.
The determination rule used is 91000141 (ZORGMAN_RA = Organization based on BP and trans.)
Under Container tab in this determination rule, using simulate Rule resolution button, for some BP, it find the agent with green light when I place a BP in the Container element value field but for many BP's, it shows as No agent found.
Org. data profile used is ZORGPROF_RA (Mandatory are sales Org, Dist. Ch, Sales Off.) and has set the above determination rule.
In the Organizational model, the General attributes are country, currency, dist. Ch & division.
So, Why Org determination is working for some BP and not for all.. I've checked each field in BP transaction comparing those BP where the org detrmination is automatic with those where it is not determining...but not able to find a clue also to trace it.
we are introducting a sales order block in BP (under sales tab) for some specific Sold-To party and in webshop when these Sold-to party are tried to place an order then an error message will show that this "Sold-To party has a  sales area block".
To achieve this, first the org determination should work automatically for all BP's otherwise for those BP which cannot detrmine the sales area in the sales order transaction will allow to place order (which should not be in our case)
Can any one throw some light in this case..please do ask if you need more clarification in my question.
    Thank & Regards
    Pravin Babu

    Hello Maggie
    Thanks for your reply.
I found the cause of the failure, in not determining  the sales area  automatically in sales transaction for some BP's.
It is due to the BP settings, under sales area view, under organization tab, by pressing 'Choose sale area" button, I can see the sales Organization has uncheck for 'sales'  but it is check for all others - shipping, billing, partner, status, Organization.
It is due to -> no data mainatined for the BP under Sales tab, after mainatianing it, I can see the check by pressing the 'choose sale area under organization tab.
Now, in Order transaction, the sale area is determined automatically when I enter the BP.
So this was the reason that some BP's was able to determine the sales area automatically but not for others in the sales transaction.

  • Org determination from Sales area

    Guys,
Here's the scenario..we have downloaded all Org structure from R/3. I need the sales org, sales office & group to be determined from the sales area maintained in the BP master data. Currently all BP's have only one Sales Area assigned.
The structure looks like this ..
    XY10 - Sales Org Unit
       XA01 - Sales Office
            XG01 - Sales Group
            XG02 - Sales Group
I have checked all of them as Object Permitted in determination. (well if I don't ..then they are not available for selection while maintaining sales area data for BP). I am using the standard Rule '10000144' (Sales area Inc Master Data'). the problem is automatic Determination is failing because its proposing all the Sales offices & sales group as well for Sales Org.
How do I make it to select the one Sales Org only? the same determination should also work when I create and replicate a Sales order from R/3.
Another issue. When I did a consistency check(For Obj permitted in determination) for the Sales office(XA01), I get a error "Attribute IS_SA_ORG can only be assigned once within the assignment hierarchy".
Any suggestions on how to overcome the above issues?
(Note: I am already aware of the buffer update report 'HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE' and I run it every time I make any change.)
    Thanks,
    Reddy

    Guys,
I have created my own rule and it works sucsessully. i still have the consistency check for one of the Sales Office.
Here's my new problem. When I download the sales order from R/3, it determines the Sales Org but is unable to determine Org unit. (If you look in Org tab of sales order, the Sales Org & Org Unit are two different fields). I looked at the log and found that for some reason its finding more than one Org unit!
I tried to create a new Order in CRM with the same BP and the rule works perfectly and only one org unit is found. So for some reason the rule evaluation fails for downloaded orders
Is there any note or setting that I am missing?
Would appreciate any help in this regard.
