    Hi
Can anybody tell me where I can find the SolMan consultant implementation cook book. I am basically looking from a functional consultant perpective, the configuration setup that need to be done to implement SolMan, we are implementing CHaRM and Monitoring.
Also I like to ask, what sequence I need to follow to implement the SolMan. Please provide the steps and the documents that I should refer to.
Appreciate your valuable and quick response.
    BR- Bill

the configuration setup that need to be done to implement SolMan, we are implementing CHaRM and Monitoring
Monitoring requires Basis knowledge and Charm is a CRM scenario
what sequence I need to follow to implement the SolMan.
I would start with Monitoring, Service desk , Charm , Root Cause Analysis (Basis scenario). These are the opertional side of Solman.
    Functional side
Implementation of SAP Solutions includes Project Administration, Business Process mapping and Blueprinting etc

  • Student self services - configuration guide or cook book

    Dear All,
We have recently upgraded to EHP4 and enabled student self services.
But when I changed my program of study no workflow is triggered in the backend.
Do I need to do any configuration for this ?
Is there any configuration guide or cook book available for student self services.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Best Regards,
    Aleem Mohiuddin.

    Hi Aleem,
You can find cookbooks for configuring SLcM on the following page: Student Lifecycle Management [original link is broken]
For the 'Change of Program' functionality you need to configure the following workflow to your customer need: COP_APPROVAL (WS template: 29800011 via trx PFWS).
Please also make sure you have applied note 1321998.
    Best regards,
    Rob

HIi Siddharth, thx for confirming, this was my guess.
It also appears that much of the new ECM analytics integrated with BW in EP5 is being moved under the TMS 1.51 (Talent Management Specialist) Application.
If they are moving ECM reports there, I don't understand why you would not just incorporate all the BSP links / folder structures so that  'BP Compensation Specialist 60.2' could be officially retired.

  • Cook book for HR connectivity and compensation specialist BP

    Hi all,
Have any of you configured Business packages compensation specialist and Hr connectivity, do you any cook books or Documents about how to configure it.

Helpful docs will be much appreciated.

    Thanks Brian for your inputs,
I think we should go ahead with atleast deploying the BP and show it to the client to make a decision.
Brian one final questions, I am sure but can you confirm that this can talk to ECC. 6.0 with EP 7.0 .....NW2004s lets say SP11.
the BP documentation says it can be used from NW2004 or NW2004s SP4 or 5 something like that. But since this BP has been avialable even before 2004s was released hence my doubt.

  • R/3 Internet Sales & CRM Internet Sales -- Difference

    Hi all,
Can anyone prompt me on the exact difference between an R/3 Internet sales and CRM internet sales.

    Suresh,
Internet Sales for CRM is the "full version" of the application designed for high-volume, heavy duty e-commerce processing.  The CRM version actually was produced before the R/3 version.  The R/3 version has most of the functionality of the R/3 version, but is more of a replacement for SAP online store.  You will find in the service marketplace comparisons on what functionality is not present in the R/3 version.
I would personally recommend CRM version if you are looking at a heavy transactional volume/large catalog size.  The R/3 version uses the product catalog in R/3 which is not as user friendly as the CRM product catalog.  Honestly both solutions have the share the same "front-end" application logic and only differ in the backend application connection.  You should evaluate what your business needs are and determine whether you the requirements/budget dicate a quick and easy e-commerce implementation(R/3 Internet Sales) or more complex implementation(CRM Internet Sales).
I have worked with SAP e-selling solutions since version 3.1H and would tell you can't go wrong with either product.  Internet Sales(CRM) implementations tend to take more time than Internet Sales(R3).  The reason being is the fact you have to setup a CRM system(middleware, rewrite your pricing exits, etc).
    Good Luck,
    Stephen
