Sales district and account group

how to create a new sales district for a customer?
and for creating a customer can i assign existing customer account groups? or should i create a new account group like sold to party X.
And how to create and assign number ranges in account groups?

1. Define Sales Districts
No assignment required here, the details will automatically available in Customer Master Sales view screens.
Create customer account groups:  OBD2

if there is no need of creating new account group then yes u can use the same else create new one

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement where I wanted to restrict Sales districts(Accounts) & Sold-to's depending on the employee responsible for.
    The requirement goes like this.
    There are Sales districts. Each Sales district has around 4 to 5 Sold-to parties.
    For each Sales district a sales manager is responsible, and for each sold-to party a sales group is responsible.
    Now when a manager logs in using his logon credentials then he should be able to see only the sales districts(Accounts), he is responsible for and the sold-to parties for that particular Sales district(Account).
    But when a sales group logs in , he should be able to view only his sold-to parties, which he is responsible for.
    Any clue on how to achieve this requirement.
    I have used CRM_ORD_LP, CRM_ORD_OP & CRM_ORD_OE but they are related to actvities, leads & opportunities authorization objects.
    How about Sales districts (Accounts)? How can I restrict it to Sales districts(Accounts) for managers and sales representatives?

    If you don't need to restrict access to all customers but only to propose customers assigned to certain salesman you could probably do it via partner determination rule where you would say when the employee responsible is entered in sales document that customers belonging to this salesman are proposed on selection screen.
    If you need to restrict it then I think you have 2 choices:
    - use ace to restrict by sales district
    - create Authorization Groups, assigned them to customers and then create pfcg roles for salesman providing in pfcg access to certain Authorization Group. in pfcg you use B_BUPA_GRP object. But the problem using pfcg is that you will have to create as many pfcg roles as many salesman you have and this can be a huge thing.
    So ace will probably be more appropriate.

    At Present the end user (customer) is sending the request of New Sales District and Price List Creation to SAP SD Consultant and the consultant creates the same in Development Client SPRO through T code OVR0 etc. and then transports the same to Quality and Production Server. This Process takes a lot of time
    We want to provide the direct access of Sales district and Price List creation to the user in PRD.
    Kindly Let me know what is the best way in which we can handle this situation.

    Are you sure you want to do that? You will create inconsistencies between the systems which will jepardise future tests. I suggest you just train end-user to do the procedure him/her self. I don't think it costs so much time to transport a couple of requests.

    There is no relationship between Sales District and Profit Center.  If in case, for business requirements, Sales Districts can be created as profit centers.

    Hello there
    I am working on a report and need to know one table relation for sales District and Partner function 
    i have a requirement , where i want to list all the partner number/Partner function assign to the customer with ref to the sales District
    we have one partner function Tab at sales Area tab in customer master , and another when we click on Sales district tab at header will get another window where we maintain partner function relate to the sales District , i want to have all those partner function in report , can you please help me where i can find that in table ? when i do F1 its says  KNVP but that table maintain at the sales area leval , not for the Sales District !! if you can help

    Do you have custom table/maintenance for sales district? Are you not maintaining Sales District in Sales Tab of customer master.
    You have to look for the field and table where you have maintained sales distict along with Customer and join the customer with KNVP customers and get all the partners.
    For Example - if you have mainationed sales district in KNVV table of BZIRK field then you have to join KNVV -KUNNR with KNVP-KUNNR and extract all records of customer distict and associated partner functions.
    Let me know,if the given solution is not applicable for your case.

  • How to assign a Sales Org and Product group

    all the config have been maintained (creating the hierarchies/categories, assign the set types to categories etc.) under IMG->Cross-Application Components->SAP Product.
    Also assigned the set type for sales data/product group for category MAT_DIEN.
    But the fields from these section are greyed out when I try creating a product (not able to assign the sales org, or product group)

    One way is:
    Maintain the required setting in T. Code: VKOA.
    Another way is:
    Create an Internal Order (T. Code: KO01) with required Field-entries in
    Tab: Assignment --> Profit Center; and
    Tab: Period-end Closing --> Cost Center ( or G/L account).
    and attach it to your Sales Order.

    The scenario is, we have customer accounts which need to be maintained in a sales areas for FD documents due to warranty.
    These customers are created in a specific Customer Account Group, except problems occur when these customers are being used for OR sales docs. Problems occur due to a number of fields not being maintained for these warranty customers which then causes failure to create accounting documents that then creates headaches for our WM and FI people.
    So if I can block this specific customer account group from being used for OR docs and all others sales doc types apart from FD sales doc type, then my problem of them being used will be solved.
    As you can tell I am a newbie but appreciate all advice.

    Arghhhh! You are right.
    I would do it like this. Find the document in the BSEG table. Then check it in the BKPF table - there are headers for posting documents. Write down the ATWYP field's value and check the AWKEY value (probably it will be the Order's number).
    Then you can search for the posting document in the BKPF table using the AWTYP and AWKEY fields. There is an index on these fields so it should go quite fast.

    Con't you use alternative table, Example insted BSEG use BSID and create a index on VBEL2 to improve the performance..

    I´m using the bapi SD_CUSTOMER_MAINTAIN_ALL  to create a new client with good result, now in transaction XD01 the functional consulter are using the field account group RF02D-KTOKD, they are using this field to activate the Hierarchie in SAP. Now I don´t known how to use the bapi SD_CUSTOMER_MAINTAIN_ALL  using this field account group. Can you help me?

    how can I define the "<b>Account grouping</b>" in T030? Is there an automatic procedure for doing this or do I have to configure everything manually? (the entries may be too much!!!).

    There is no table for this but you can check the following option
    1. Go to Option Define field status variant option in IMG
    2. Select the field status varaint and then double click field status groups
    3. Select the field status group and click on the push button 'Print filed status' (shift + F1)
    This will give you the relevant fields for the field status group.

  • Restrict creation of customers according to account group and sales area.

    Hey Guys,
    I have this scenario wherein we have to restrict the creation of customers according to the sales area and account group. Here is an example.
    Suppose I have a domestic customer say D01. Account group that I am using for this domestic customer is D001. Sales area is say D001/D1/D1. Now for exports I have E01 as customer. Account group is E001. Sales area is E001/E1/E1.
    Scenario is
    I should be able to create D01 only with account group D001 and in sales area D001/D1/D1. Customer D01 should not get created in account group E001 and sales area E001/E1/E1. Now to differentiate export and domestic customers we are using 'D' as a prefix for domestic customers and 'E' for export customers.
    Same thing applies for Exports. Customer E01 should only get created with account group E001 and sales area E001/E1/E1.
    Please advise on the same.

    sales group
    A organizational unit that performs and is responsible for sales transactions.
    sales district
    A geographical sales district or sales region.
    You can assign customers to a sales district and use the sales district to generate sales statistics.
