Sales forecasting scenario for production and procurement

Hello Gurus
We have currently one scenario need your inputs and expertise
We have a requirement for the Sales forecast for the production and procurement planning. More over its like demand planning but sales needs to have a 6 months or yearly sales forecast in the system.
Is there any option or functionality available for the same.in SAP-SD

Colective Settlement and "CLSD"Status for Production and Maintenance Orders

Hi dear experts,
Is that possible to use transaction KO8G for collective settlement of Production Orders? Apparently it only works for Maintenance Orders.
The same applies for transaction CO99 for getting "Closed" status in Orders. Apparently it does not take the Production Orders, even if the selection "With CO Production Orders" is active. Is there any additional configuration we should do?!
We would like to do settlement (and mass set "Close" status after) for Production and Maintenance Orders at the same time.

Hi,
You can use CO88 for settlement of production orders. Normally, CO99 should take production orders if the flag is switched. Do you receive any error when you do it?

WebDynpro scenario for Objectives and Appraisals in ECC 6.0

Does anybody know if the scenario for Objectives and Appraisals under WebDynpro is available in ECC 6.0?
Our customer prefer not to use the BSP scenario and we know SAP was working in a new one based on WebDynpro but we can not find any information about that.
Any information will be very useful.

Transfer Forecast data based on Customer information for product and plant

Hi,
This is the scenario.
Our characterstics are Product,Plant and Customers
and for 1 plant and product there may be 5 customers.
My characterstics will be
P1 L1 C1
P1 L1 C2
P1 L1 C3
P1 L1 C3
P1 L1 C4
P1 L1 C5
(P1-Product; L1 for Plant and C1,C2...are customers)
Now forecast data will be different for different customers.
I transfer demand from APO to ECC for PRoduct ,Plant and different customers.
Then in ECC how to check for different customers.
If you go to MD63 you can see for plant and product but not for customers.
This is required as we are running MRP for that product for component planning.

Hi Ragvendra,
In ECC we can transfer at material and plant level only and not information of customer. As you need for MRP run may be you can explore possibility of using some badi and get customer no in requirement plan number or some other feilds.
Other option is planning with descriptive chartceristic in APO only. It is not possible to transfer demand with descriptive charcteristics to ECC.
Here you can forcast demand on customer level. Transfer it as PIR with descriptive charcteristics to PPDS where you can plan for this demand.

If your requirement is to transfer customer information to ECC from DP in standarad it is not possible as far as I know.

Sales Forecast Scenario - help needed

Dear Experts
I need your help in following forecast scenario:
I am have two planning areas, one for actuals and other for planning (The cube structure are similar). The forcast function is written at material and month level in mutiplanning area. I have created a new planning version LE2 by copying actuals for first six months of 2008.
I like to generate forecast for next six months in this plannng version. by using reference data from actuals planning area with version # and period 01.2007 to 06.2008. I am using Automatic Forecast Method as the strategy.
I have restricted the calmonth characteristic in the package as 07.2008 to 12.2008. The fields for reference in the function has calmonth from 01.2007 to 06.2008 and # as version and planning area = planned. Field for condition has version # and planned as planning area.
I have following issues:
The function is using refrence data from 01.2007 to 12.2007 and not up to 06.2008?
Proposing values for version # and actuals planning area insted of LE3 version and Planned planning area.
Please guide.

Intercompany Scenario for Export and without Plant

Hi
Our client creates Big Projects; with two company Codes, One in India and another in Germany. They are working on PS. In most of the cases they get an order and they send the required material through Vendor, Vendor uses his Excise Invoice for sending the material and submit his Invoice to our Client for Payment. In turn our Client Bill to Customer and collect the payment; so use Third Party Sales Process. There is no Delivery from our Client Plant.
Besides the material our Client also provide Services.
Now the requirement is to Map the Intercompany Sale. It is not mapped at present, and so doing outside SAP. This need to be mapped. Scenario is like Sales Organisation of Germany gets the Order (for Material and Services both) they pass this order to Sales Organisation which belongs to Co. Code of India. Now material is sent from Vendor and India will bill to Germany and Germany will do the final billing to Customer. Here the customer is outside of India so India will have to Export, and Plant of our Client is not involved, as Material is sent from Vendor.
Also the same scenario happens for providing the manpower.
Guide me how can I map this scenario in SAP.

Intercompany sales- create seperate sales order type,
create 2 non stock material-
1-for to collect positive amount - assign this to WBS element-Billing element- YINT
2- for collect negative values-assign this to WBS element-Billing element& account assignment-YIND
Maintain Same milestones in both items.
for maintain seperate WBS level for these items
Maintain same billing type- and do collective billing- to capture both positive and negative value-
pass the amounts-first item - Sales account-credit-50(PK), second item 40(PK)-debit

Mass update for production and planned order MRP controller

It's anyway possible to mass update MRP controller for Production orders and Planned orders. If any please provide me step by step process.

I feel You have changed the MRP controller in Material master and want to incorporate same in production order & plan order.
For Planned order Run MRP with delete and recreate mode, system will create a new plan order with MRP controller in Material master
For production order, Mass change is not possible, create a simple BDC or LSMW, And change the MRP controller

Technical Monitoring one template used for production and non-production system.

Dear All,
Is there a way to have one template in Solman Technical Monitoring for production system and non-production system with different alerts ? For example if it exceeds a threshold for production system it will trigger red alert or set automatically an incident and if it's non prod system it will go to yellow warning alert ?

Hi Likasz,
You first create and customize the template, and then assign to a system.
If it was selecting a system and then customizing a template, then may be such functionality makes sense.
So, I don't think that is possible.
Better would be copy the template used for production to non-production and make the adjustment to it.

Naming conventions/hierarchies for products and software components

Hi,
Can someone please advise what they have found works well for naming products and software components and recommended hierarchies?
Following the SAP model it seems to make sense to have a custom product for each SAP product when we are developing custom interfaces for the related system, e.g. ZPRODMYCOMPDEVS_R3, ZMYCOMPDEVS_CRM etc.
Beneath this level as similar convention could be used for the software component, e.g. ZSWCMYCOMPDEVS_CRM or if it is a modular SAP system like R/3 perhaps a grouping per key application area? (e.g. HR, Finance, Logistics etc)
I know it's not compulsory to start these with 'Z' but it would help group custom developments.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Missing setup.exe for production and web premium

I donwloaded all of the files for Production Premium and Web Premium, but I am missing the file setup.exe for both. Is there a quick way to get this without redownloading everything?

I am having a similar problem. I just purchesed Dreamweaver CS4 on DVD, and it is missing the setup.exe file. I read the read me file and looked in the folder where is says it should be, and it's not there. I also did a search for "setup.exe" on the entire disk and no results came up.
Any suggestions?

Truncated (shortened) descriptions for products and catalogs

Is there any sort of tag attributes for the product and catalog descriptions that shorten them like the ones for I believe it is blogs (or maybe web app items)?
For whichever it is, I believe the tag is something like {tag_description, 100} for it to spit out 100 characters of the description.

This was doing my head in. I do not understand why {tag_description} won't allow character length for products. I used javascript to alter the text and thought I'd post my solution in case others are stuck and maybe to prompt people to improve on it. I have just barely started to learn js so this is most likely not the best way to do this. It relies on the product description being in <p> tags and takes only the first paragraph of the description but could be modified to just alter the string length.
In the small product layout I placed the full description in a div with display:none; and id="{tag_name_nolink}" so that each product has a unique id.
Then I placed the below code where I want the short description to appear.

Updation for Production and Proportion unit in MM02 transaction

Requirement is i need to change proportion/prod unit in MM02 i found one Bapi the Bapi name is 'VBWS_UOM_MAINTAIN_DARK' but it is not working can you provide test data for this and last chance i wrote BDc the values are fetching in debug mode but it is not reflecting in MM02 trnasactions. experts can you please give any solution for this.

in header- for NAME and ID map the source fields MATNR and TEXID respectively.
OBJECT and SPRAS pass the constants.
in Item--for TEXTFORMAT pass the constant '*' and for the TEXTLINE map the input field LINE of the ITEM structure.
or else u can check in SE37 'CREATE_TEXT' , in that function module check it object Id , name , spras, lineitem, language "E"

ATP for manufactured and procured materials

We have a scenario that we have essentially a make-to-order process but occassionally, due to setup costs, manufacture more than what is needed to satisfy the sales order line item that triggered the planned/production order.
In other words, when sales order ATP executes, we would like to first check for unrestricted inventory to supply the order. If there is available inventory, it should be used on the sales order line item.
If there is no inventory on hand, we want MRP to run and create an order using the Make-to-order process.
Can someone help wtih this?

Hi Bak,
The only way i have seen this done in the past is to create two materials codes for the sames material one is the stock item and the second is MTO, so when you have stock you can use the stock material code or there is none in stock to use the MTO material code.
The second option is too have one material that is MTO but when the order is placed to check if there is available stock and then to do a Stock to sales order stock material transfer. then when you run the ATP check the stock is available and no production is generated
