  • SMS capabilities on Fusion CRM - Sales & Marketing cloud

Wanted to know if the Fusion CRM - Sales & Marketing cloud supported sending SMS to users out of the box...
If so, what kind of configuration effort does it require - just some basic SMPP settings or some heavy integration with SMS vendors ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Nakul

    Nakul,
I can confirm that out of the box this is not supported and would require some Integration to be created for this. Internally we have just completed a proof of concept with Oracle on this. Oracle has confirmed that they are introducing SMS into Marketing but with the Eloqua purchase im not sure where this sits now.

  • Oracle Sales & Marketing in Rel. 11

    Hi memebers,
    Q. If we can map Oracle Applications Release 11 with Oracle Applications Release 11i, What would be the exact modules in the current release that correspond to Oracle Sales & Marketing Rel. 11.
    Thanks.
    Ihab

That's a good question. I haven't heard anything official from Oracle yet, but here's my feeling:
Clearly, the upgrade path from OSM 11 to 11i should include
    - CRM Foundation
    - Oracle Sales
    - Oracle Marketing
The confusion comes with the Online products. It seems that Sales Online and Marketing Online are separate products. But then, they are often referred to as the user front end, while the Sales and Marketing modules are the setup/administration pieces. If this is the case, then the upgrade path should also include the Online packages since the end-user interface is kinda important.

  • Sales & Marketing Online MapIt URL Maps feature for Addresses Google Maps

We recently enabled the MapIT URL functionality so our users can see street maps from Yahoo from Sales Online when they click on the Map it icon associated with all addresses in Sales and Marketing Online.
See Metalink 280542.1 for how to enable this in the Ebusiness Suite.
    Two questions:
    1. We would like to use Google Maps; does anyone know how this can be done?
    2. Our business is in Australia. By default we hide Australia as a county on our addresses. This prevents us from seeing maps for addresses in Australia. Any body know a way around this?
Image for clarification can be found here: http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/90720/0/

Sorry mate looks like it is not straight forward change that you can make to use Google instead of Yahoo.
You may need to use Google Maps APIs and try to build your own URL and update the profile option.
I am hoping in next version of Oracle Apps has out of the box functionality to use Google maps.

    Hello,

  • Can I use Photoshop Elements to create digital flyers for sales & marketing?

Looking to create digital flyers to be emailed and used on social media ads.  Is photoshop elements a good tool for this?

It's certainly possible to do it, but there are many other programs, like almost any desktop publishing program, that will give you more options more easily. PSE is at its best as a photo editor, not a page layout program.

  • Cost of sales accounting & period accounting

    Hi folks,
I want to know the difference between cost of sales accounting & period accounting. where do we use them and which is preferable. thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vijay

Two accounting methods used for generating profitability statements are the cost-of-sales method and the period accounting method. Applying either method to a given set of business transactions under a given set of laws yields the same bottom-line result (profit) in concept. The difference is in how the overall profit and loss picture is presented.
Companies must choose to use one of these methods for generating their legal financial statements. <b>The choice is often determined by country-specific legal requirements.</b>
         Cost-of-sales accounting
With this method, the emphasis is on matching the revenues for goods and/or services provided (the value that a company gains as a result of sales) against the related expenses for those items (the value that is lost when products are transferred out of the company). Therefore, this accounting method displays profit and loss information in a manner optimized for conducting margin analyses, and as such it is optimal for the sales, marketing, and product management areas.
         Period accounting
With this method, the emphasis is on summarizing the activity and situational change over a period of time, for a given organizational unit. Therefore, this accounting method presents the revenues and primary expenses that have been incurred during a given period of time and the changes in stock value levels, work-in-process, and capitalized activities. As such, it is optimal for the production and profit center areas.

  • How I can map "Sales Target Planning" in SAP?

    Hi All,
I am working in Sales & Marketing in a Logistic Service Provider Company.
Our Product is Container (in which RMG & other commodities are transported
via ship from/to all over the world). Our Sales Target is planned in yearly
basis on Quantity of Containers, Number of Buyers, Different Corridors,
Different Commodities etc etc. How we can map our Sales Target Planning in SAP?
    Regards,
    Syed Waseem Reza

    Sir,
Can you please let us know the high level process flow you have already mapped? I am facing the same problem.... I am here delivering my existing process flow.
We didnu2019t go for any other special module of SAP
The General modules of SAP including
    u2022     SD(Sales & Distribution),
    u2022     MM(Material Management),
    u2022     WM(Warehouse Management),
    u2022     LE (Logistic Execution),
    u2022     FI(Finance), CO(Controlling),
    u2022     FA(Fixed Asset)
    Basic Process Mapping:
u2022     SO(Sales Order) may create directly or against Qut(Quotation)
u2022     All SO line item will create the PR (Purchase Requisition)
u2022     Warehouse does the GR (Goods Receive) against PR indirectly SO.
u2022     Empty and Laden Container enters to Warehouse as a material received.
u2022     TO (Transfer Order) of Goods to the Bin Location
u2022     Creates the Outbound Delivery against GR.
u2022     Picking of Goods from WH Bin to Deliver Place
u2022     Packing of Goods to the Container as per Shipment.
u2022     Outgoing Invoice for collection against Outbound Delivery
u2022     Incoming Invoice for payment against Shipment Cost.
Management wants to give one sales target such as...
    Year -SO-----Material Group---Material Group
    --(20' Container)-----(40' Container)
    2009-----10,0004,000--
    2,000
and in the end of the year, Management wants to see the see the following report.
    Year      Targeted      Achieved     Target(20') Achieved(20')  Target(40')  Achieved(40')
    --SOSO-----
    2009-----10,0008,0004,0002,0002,000--
    1,500
For this I have to store my sales target in any of SAP document, because i have already all the Achieved information in my existing system, because material groups are keeping in the Shipment/Packing phase of the process, So i can easily make the report, but i cant get the Target as I don't have any place to store the same.
Can anybody help me to proceed?

  • Filtering Item, Customer and Supplier data on Marketing Documents

My client has 7 franchises under one umbrella, so as their item, customer and vendor masters will be at one place in SBO. But their requirement is when specific franchise person work on marketing documents, could only be able to access its respective master data in LOV's. I filtered it through formatted search and filtering in LOV's as well but he/she can access others master data. Can anybody tell me any workaround for it?
    Thanks & regards

    Hi there!
I am exactly in the same situation. Did you get some answers or did you find any solution about the filtering data and marketing documents?
I try to filter some data like BP (OCRD), Sales Marketing documents & Opportunities by using the SlpCode from the OSLP table.
I have to do as well a link between the login used and the slpcode.
I have to do a global like by using the table OUSR (user) (link between login and slpcode).
    Any advice?
    Best regards,
    Sébastien

  • Org unit and a sales Org

    Hello,
Does any Org unit must be assigend to a sale Org and why
    thanks,
    Iris

    Hi Iris,
Organizational Units form the basis of an organizational plan, Organizational units are functional units of a company. Depending on how a company is organized, organizational units can consist of departments, groups or project teams.
There are three different areas basically in SAP CRM Sales, Marketing and Service. An org unit can be assigned to different areas, for example an organization unit can be a sales organization in the Sales Scenario and service org in the service scenario. If your organization wants to be a sales organization, then you need to maintain the same on the Function tab of the org model. All the attributes relevant to the same, can also be maintained in the attributes tab page.
Hope this was useful to you.
    regards
    Srikantan
