I just want to know what is work flow and for the sales order how to see the work flow? Is the work flow and the document flow are same ? please help me understanding this.

How to update Serial Number from Work Order to Sales order in MTO flow
Helo Experts,
I have a requirement to update automatically the Serial number in Make to Order flow, from the Work order to the sales order and then to delivery.
In fact the flow is the following, when raising the sales order we don't know the SN, it will create a Work order with stock type E, when work order is released a Serial Number is assigned to the material created. After Goods receipt of WO, We need to have the SN updated in the sales order and then in the delivery.
I tried with the parameters of Serial number profile, i was not able to update from WO to Sales Order.
DO you have any idea how this requirement could be fullfiled? is it possible in standard?

Flow of Old Sales Order and item values
Dear Gentlemen,
Account Based COPA activated and being used since 2010 in our client system.
As per the customer requirement,recently we have created two new charateristics ,viz;Sales Order and Sales Order Item in COPA and values of Sales Order and its item are being flowing in to COPA.
But customer expecting to flow the values of OLD Sales Order and its items (i.e since 2010) for the above stated new two new characteristics.
Can anybody throw some light on this as how to bring the values of old sales oredrs and it items.

You have created the Characteristics fields now and you want to effect the data flow in old FY, which may not be possible effect from old fiscal year/periods.
Can you try use KE21N -repost line items for the current period. -
Regresion test flow of Sales order and billing document to CO-PA

In the regresion test we need to test the sales order and billing documents values are flown to CO-PA are not.
May i know the transaction codes to test this scenario

1. Your sales ordre will have a pricing procedure in it.. Pricing procedure has condition typess. for revenues and discounts. Did you assign cond types in KE4I to your value field?
2. Also, if your pricing procedure has cond type VPRS, this will contain the COGS.... Assign VPRS also to a value field in KE4I
3. Check If you did the settings in COPA for
a. Select Valuation Strategy 001 in KE4U
In DETAILS tab: Assign it to Appl = KE, Check Mat Cstng, and Qty Field = ABSMG
In Assignment tab: Assigning 001 to Point of valuation 01 and Record Type = F
b. Creating a costing key in KE40
Check : Transfer Std cost estimate
Period indicator =Current Cost estimate acc to entry in mat master
c. assigning costing key to material types in KE4J or KEPC and
d. assigning Cost Comp Structure to Value field in KE4R

Just giving you examples for both work flow and document flow.
Document Flow:
After creating the sales order, you may create the delivery, shipment and invoice. All these documents can be seen from the sales order by clicking the "Document Flow" icon
Work Flow:
While creating the sales order you may want the user to restrict from giving more than 5% discount.If the user gives more than 5% discount, then a notification can be triggered to his manager. The manager can then review the sales order and approve the discount. This is called workflow.
Both document flow and workflow are different.

Sales Order
Definition: Request from a customer to a company to deliver a defined quantity of products or provide a service at a certain time. The sales area that accepts the inquiry is responsible for completing the agreement.
Scheduling Agreements
Purpose
A customer scheduling agreement is an outline agreement with the customer containing delivery quantities and dates. These are then entered as schedule lines in a delivery schedule. You can either create schedule lines when you create the scheduling agreement or you can create them later.
You fulfill a scheduling agreement by creating the deliveries in the schedule as they become due. You process deliveries for a scheduling agreement in exactly the same way as you process a normal delivery. After you have carried out the delivery, the system updates the Delivered quantity field in the scheduling agreement item with the delivery quantity. The following graphic shows the document flow for scheduling agreements.
Integration
You would use this component if you had outline agreements with the customer that contained future delivery quantities of materials that would be sent at certain times within a fixed time period.
If you work with scheduling agreements for the component supplier industry you also need to choose the "Electronic Data Interchange" (EDI) component. -

it is always good to search in Google before posting .LSMW is very old topic and i am sure you will get lots of Documents on this .Please go through the below link .you will get some idea on this.

A open sales order is the one which is not yet delivered that means u have only created a sales order and saved it( create a sales order, save it and see the document flow, the order shows as open)
Back order is also an order which is not completely fulfilled. may be because of the target quantity or because of not meeting the requested delivery date.
in this case you will pull back the required quantity from other sales order(open sales orders) this is done using T.Code CO06.

Copy Control between Sales Orders and Deliveries
Hi Gurus,
please can you tell me why copy control between Sales Order and Delivery doesn't work?
At header level, into copy control, we can set 2 requirement routines, one as general requirement for copying (TVCPL-AUBED) and the other one as requirement for grouping orders into deliveries (TVCPL-AUZUS).
At header level we can also set a routine for data transfer to define how data are passed from Sales Order header to Delivery header (TVCPL-GRUAK).
Then we can set routines at item level, one as requirement (TVCPL-AUBED) and one as data transfer (TVCPL-GRUAP).
When delivery is created with VL10A transaction, at header level only the first general requirement routine is used (FV50B***). Grouping requirement is not used (we also set a break point and the program is not passing into this routine).
Then it is used the requirement routine at item level (FV50B***).
Please can you tel me how we camake working the routine for grouping requirement at header level?

Joining Sales Orders and Delivery Notes in Query
Hi Experts
Please could someone provide me with the correct SQL syntax for joining tables ORDR, RDR1, ODLN and DLN1 in a query?
I need to show a list of the (rows of all open sales orders) and (closed sales order (which have a delivery note) between certain dates).

Thanks for your help. Could you help me a little further? I am writing the query to show me a mixture of (Open Order rows which contain item code 'C&P') and (closed orders between 2 dates which also contain C&P) - both need to have the customer having property 54 set as 'Y'

Disable the characteristic window in sales order and user-exit to pick up
Hi Freinds,
I am working on 1 VC assignment in which
1. I have to pick up the characteristic values selected in VA02 in sales order before saving the change sales order.
2. I have to Disable the characteristic window (with characteristic name and value) appear after click on u2018item detail : configurationu2019 button in sales order (if the chracterstic say 'Approval' having the value 'Yes')
3. I have to disable the characteristic window after selecting the one of the characteristic value to 'Yes' in VA02
So I need to fetch this character value witnin sales order before saving the change sales order and need to restrict the user to change any other characteristic value(disable the characteristic window) .
Please guide for any user exit at configuration side to export and import the values in sales order and disable the characteristic window to restrict the user from changing any other characteristic value for the item.
Please do the needfull.

Cost in Sales Order and Billing not match
Dear all,
I am facing a problem that the cost in Sales Order and Billing (order-related billing) not match.
The error seems related to sales order is getting moving price (MBEW-VERPR) as cost but billing is calculated by issued amount / qty.
Here's the detail (refer to the screen captures).
Sales qty = 1330 PC.
Local currency = HKD, sales doc currency = RMB, exchange rate = 1.26215.
Condition type ZCSR, condition category = G (Internal price).
When creating sales order ,
Cost is take from MBEW-VERPR => 1.86 HKD
Cost converted to doc currency => 1.473 RMB => 1.47 RMB
Total amount = 1,330 x 1.47 = 1,955.10 RMB
When creating billing from the delivery note,
Cost seems taking from total value divided by total stock in the article doc.
Cost = 2,477.82 / 1,330 = 1.863022556390 HKD => 1.476 RMB => 1.48 RMB.
Total amount = 1330 x [(2,477.82 / 1,330) / 1.26215] = 1,963.17 RMB
My goal is to align the same cost and amount in sales order and billing.
Please help.

Hope you are aware of the configurations you need to maintain for the Text determination.Anyway, herewith are the steps that may help you to accomplish your requirement.
Text Determination procedure for sales document header:
Text can be determined at sales document header level or it can be imported from customer master. The process is...
Define Text types:Path: Imgsales and distributionbasic functionstext controldefine text types
Select sales document header. Click on text types go to new entries and define text types. For Eg:Z1
Define Access sequence:
Select sales document header
Click on change icon
Click on access sequence control button under dialog structure
Go to new entries and define access sequence number with description.Ex: 55
Save it and exit
Define text determination procedure:
Go to new entries
Define text determination procedure.Ex: ZX save it and exit
Assign text id's to text determination procedure:
Select your text determination procedure(ZX)
click on text id's in text procedure control button under dialog structure
go to new entries and maintain entries. Text id:assign text id (Z1) that we defined in the previous step
Specify sequence No-10
Check Reference: this indicator specify that the text is reference or copies from preceding object
Text in obligatory: text will be displayed during copying. the value of this field specifies whether text is obligatory or not and if it is obligatory the how it is to be displayed
Apart from this... you also have to maintain the text in the Customer master as mentioned in the previous mail..
For this you have to maintain the customer text.Do the following steps.
1. Go to Customer master, Choose from the Menu Extras --> Text and mention the text
2. Then in a sales order automatically wehn you are entering that sold to party..the header message will be appearing..
In a nutshell i would request you to check weather you have maintained the Sales-Customer text KNVV and also that you have maintained all the required customizing settings for the text procedure, access sequence etc were completed....?
Also make sure that the text type is also inclueded in the text determination procedure of the sales document header...
Note: If all the settings of text determination exists and still if the text is not appearing then In sales document Header Text procedure, select sales header procedure, then select Texts in procedure. Check for the Header note, No. box is checked. This check mark ensures text is to be displayed when it is copied..
Its should be working if all the requried setting are made....

Inconsistent updation of sales group in Sales order and invoice
Dear all,
The sales office and sales group is properly updated in the specific sales area master data of the customer but not flowing in the sales order and subsquently in the invoice. For some documents it gets updated and for others the filed is blank.
I have checked the master data and also the documents and found no errors. Please help in how to solve the issue. I need 100% updation of sales office and sales group in the order and invoice. Please advice how to solve the issue.
