Sales order consuming demand

Hi,
We got an issue, sales order schdule line date is 10-12-2010 and its status is fully delivered now the business user wants to change the schedule line date to10-12-2009 as the user as entered wrong due to this it is showing in DP planning book as order received and invoice quantity.
Material     Cust. ADAU Level     Cust. ADAU Level     ETA Month     AD Live     Order Quantity     Delivery Quantity     AD Live Remain
104478     1001752     BSI  LTD.                                                 201012           19.85     19.85     -19.85
it is consuming -19-85 as shown above.
Please let me know the solution ASAP

  • Sales order consuming current month forecast

    Hi All,
We are using weekly planning bucket in DP and weekly bucket in SNP. We are trying to release forecast in weekly bucket.
When forecast is getting released from DP to SNP it gets validity of one week. We would like to change forecast validity to one month.so any sales order within one month can consume the forecast.
Please let me know if its possible that slaes order should consume current month forecast only while releasing from DP to SNP?
any user exit we need to enhance for changing forecast validity to one month from one week?

  • Don't need MDS/Planning see some Sales order as demand

    Dear Oracle folk,
Do you know how can i create an sales order by that sales order won't be a demand included in the MDS when i load MDS by including the Sales orders.
Is there any option at S/O to set by not creating a demand ?
    Thank you ...

    Hi,
indeed using Demand Classes is one possibility to achieve what you want.
If I am not mistaken, then all sales orders with visible_demand_flag set to 'Y' (table om_order_headers_all, om_order_lines_all) get collected into ASCP.
You can not set this flag directly in Order Management, but I think you can control this with the scheduling of a sales orders. I think in case the sales order is not scheduled, then it will not be collected. But that I do not know by hard.
    regards,
    David.

  • Forecasting Based planning, consider incoming Sales orders, Consume PIR's

    Hello Guys:
I am in real Problem about this one: I am implementing forecast-based MRP for our client which is a trading company: buys, keeps in storage and sells goods (R/3 ECC 6). We are using material forecast on a monthly period, and run MRP on a weekly period since POs are to be created weekly (therefore we also use the "Splitting indicator" to split monthly forecast values to weekly requirements)
The way MRP calculates future stocks in this situation (MRP type VV) is like this:
    Current stock
    + Open POs to arrive
    - Forecast Requirement
    = Future stock
The problem with that one is that if there is an SD order or delivery in the future, SAP does not count in that one as well. It is a real problem, just imagine that in two weeks we have a forecast of 10 pieces of a material. SAP will propose Preqs based on this 10 piece consumption, even if we have an SD sales order for that week on 30 pieces. (by the way the SD order is in the list of MD05 but SAP does not count in that one for future stock reductions).
If I modify the MRP type in customizing OMDQ, I can make SAP to count in real consumptions (sales orders) in the future stocks: I set "MRP procedure" to PD (MRP) or "R1" (Time-phased materials planning). In this case MRP calculates like this:
    Current stock
    + Open POs to arrive
    - Forecast Requirement
    - Real future requirements (sales orders)
    = Future stock
So in this case SAP will recommend double quantities to purchase: once for the forecast reqs and on the other hand for the real sales orders.
It is a trap, SAP should reduce the forecast requirements with the real requirements. The really bad news is that there is a switch for this in OMDQ for the MRP types called "Reduce forecast" but it is not working: I have tried all the combinations of codes in the frame "Use forecast for MRP" but it can only decrease req for the current month and only on a timely basis code "2" for MRP procedure "PD" or "R1".
    Thanks for Help.

    Hi Mario:
I am using MRP type PD , Running the forecast using MP30 which generate the forecast requirement.
I go to MD61 , I Slected Material Forecast option and Copied the forecast requirements as planned independent requirement,
AFter that when i run MD02 and go to MD04 Screen.
System Displays MRP Element: UnPlrq----Forecast quantity  --1000
MRP Element VSF for Planned Independent requirement -1000.
Based upon historical consumption data , if there ia requirement of 1000pc , system is proposing 2000 pcs to buy.
Is there any config setting i need to change so that system won't double the requirement quanitities?
    Please clarify
    Sweth.

  • Sale order to consume Sale forecast created by MD81

    Dear Gurus,
I have created a sale forecast using T-code MD81, 'CusReq" is reflected in MD04...I conduct a planning run and planned orders are generated and subsequent process orders and this stock is now credited to WH stock... But the "CusReq" is not disappearing from MD04, as a result of which When I am creating a sale order Using VA01, it is only showing available qty in WH as remainder after the MD81 Requirement...
How can I make the sale order consume the sale forecast (CIR) that was created using MD81.??

    Hi,
Customer Indepnedent requirement is a sales order as treated by MRP.
The sales order consumption works with PIR not with Customer requirements.
Further in most cases, consumption means not PIR reduction.
it is consuming the planned orders created for PIR's by allocating to sales orders.
For ex; in a MTS scenario,
    PIR ---1000
    PLanned order 1000
    Sales order 1500
    After MRP
    PIR--1000
    PLanned order 1000
    Planned order 500
    Sales order 1500
PIR reduction from MD04 happens when GI happens for the sales order or GR for Production order depending the Planning strategy.

  • Unconfirmed Sales Orders should not consume Forecast

    Hi All,
We have an issue where the Unconfirmed Sales Order consumes the Forecast in APO. As per the requirement we only want to have Consumption of Forecast against the Confirmed Sales Order. Please suggest how we can stop this.
The Planning Strategy in Product Master is maintained as 20 (PLANNING WITH FINAL ASSEMBLY), corresponding in R/3 is 40.
    fyi, we use APO 3.1.
    Thanks,
    Aashish

    Hi Aashish,
You might set the "fixed date and quantity flag" for the unconfirmed items so they will not generate a requirement and thus they will not be transfered to APO. But the order will also never appear in a APO BOP run...
Another option would be to switch off the consumption in the APO inbound processing (userexit) when a sales order without confirmation arrives.
    best regards,
    Michael

  • Report for Pegging for  forecast and sales order consumption(pegging)

    Hi ,
Plaese help to create a report for the below
Requirement is there to have a showing Forecast (Number) and Sales order (Number) pegging Report
Means like to which forecast number the sales order number is consumed
    Regards
    Kiran

I have tested this on ASCP and I am agree with you. I am pasting one para from document...
"Oracle Master Scheduling/MRP and Supply Chain Planning calculates the ATP quantity of an item for each day of planned production by adding planned production during the period (planned orders and scheduled receipts) to the quantity on hand, and then subtracting all committed demand for the period (sales orders, component demand from planned orders, discrete jobs, and repetitive schedules).
Note: Committed demand does not include forecasted demand or manually entered master demand schedule entries. Also, the amount available during each period is not cumulative. Oracle Master Scheduling/MRP and Supply Chain Planning does not consider ATP quantities from prior periods as supply in future periods. "

  • Reducing PIR-Planned Independet Requirements by sales order

    Hi;
I use 40 as strategy group (MM03 > MRP3). In this strategy group sales order consumes PIR and when MM documentis created via delivery PIR is reduced.
I want to reduce PIR when a sales order is created. Is possible?
I am waiting foru your kind answers.
    Regard.
    Emre OZDURSUN

Why do you want to do so?
In terms of planning, the Ind.Req. shown is already taken to account of the sales order consumption so there is no issue there.  If you think about it, it does make sense that it will be reduced only when sales order is delivered.  Here my example to explain why.
    PIR 1000
    Sales Order 50
Shown in MD04 and in MRP run:
    Ind.Req       950
    Sales order  50
If the sales order is cancelled, then PIR will be set to 1000
Shown in MD04 and in MRP run (after sales order rejected)
    Ind.Req.  1000
Therefore, if you reduce PIR at sales order, it will be gone for goods.  You cannot change the PIR back to the way it was. If your sales order rejected or partially rejected, you loss all the info for your demand plan (even though you have in PIR history but no good for planning purpose).
If you want to delete and reorg old PIR that already have sales order in the past (back order per se), use MD74 (adjust PIR to sales order qty), MD75 (delete PIR without consumption) , and MD76 (delete history).
    Hope it helps,

  • Convert Sale order to Planned order in PPDS

I have nearly 400 Open sale orders to be uploaded in R/3 with some 6000-7000 line items, which needs to be converted to Planned order and subsequently to Production order in APO-PPDS .
I tried using tcode RRP3 at all stages(Multi Level ), which is manual and time taking job.Is there any way to automate RRP3??
I also tried via RRP2 by Sale order which is again a manual job.
Can anybody suggest the correct method with FM/BAPI sequence.I also tried CDPSB0 and then RRP7, BUT because there is no field for quantity, the planned orders are created based on PDS, which does not match my requirement.
    Awaiting for the reply...

    Nawal,
Sales orders are not 'converted' to planned or production orders.  Sales orders are demand, planned orders are supply.  They are different objects with different purposes.
You mention that your PDS is not suitable.  Creating large numbers of orders using non-PDS compliant master data can cause future consistency problems for these orders.
Exactly what do you wish to do, that cannot be done with the standard tools /SAPAPO/CDPS80 and /SAPAPO/RRP7?

  • Sales order number in process order

    Hello gurus,
Is it not possible to have  a particular sales order consume a PIR  and have that sales order number reflected in the process order (The process ord which is converted from the plnd order which is a result of MRP run after sales order consumes PIR)...
    Thanks and regards

    Dear,
If your material has strategy type as MTS then its not possible to allocate the PIR to a particular Sales Order in the Process Order, Sales Order can be included in planning by combining strategies but having a link is quite difficult.

  • Problem with sales order consumption

    Hi
I hope someone can help?  I have a problem with consumption of sales orders in APO.  When a sales order comes across from R/3 it doesn't consume the forecast until a later sales order comes across, then the previous one consumes forecast.  So all sales orders consume forecast apart from the latest one on each material.
    Many thanks
    Michael

Hi Please confirm the following are right in your strategy configuration in R/3:

  • Regarding creating a LOOSE LINK between Sales Order and Vehicle

    Hi,
Does anyone has any idea on how to establish a LOOSE LINK between Sales Order and Vehicle using BAPI_VEHICLE_CREATE or any other Function module.
Any help will be highly appreciated and rewarded.
    Kind Regards,
    Tanuja

    Dear Kumar,
    Strategy - 40
    Consumption of PIR (not Redution)
    1) the first point in strategy in 40 is, incoming sales order consumes PIR
2 )both sales order and PIR takes place in MRP planning run
    2) this is where it is in mostly used in many indutries
just a small example how this strategy works
    1) creat PIR for ur FERT- 100Nos
    2) check in MD04- u will get PIR (VSF) as 100
    3) now creat sales order for 120 for same month
4 )run MRP for that particular FERT
    5) check the result in MD04, here ur PIR gets vanishied and an plan order will be generated for 120 Nos.
